Why should Thurman carry the can for Rex...it is his team, his D that he bragged about, His D that he brought his brother in to support, Rex will blame the injury of a draft choice, he will blame the LBs he has as not being the prototypical for his D and will want to cut them all. I vote for anyone who is not a players coach. This is not pop warner. I want a COACH WHO HAS THE BALLS to openly put guys like Darius on the bench in mid game and make it obvious that he has been benched, Following the game any player who complains that the coach embarrassed Darius should get cut or benched (money/ contracts have to be considered). That would include Sammy, Shady, Wood, or who ever. It would only take once. At that point the coach is now running the team. Football is only participatory when you begin to win, and players and coaches are on the same page...and to start it must be the coaches page. Every player knows that guys like Hogan could have helped this team. Any player who actually thought that Harvin and Spikes should be on this team have no desire to win. Belicheat knows how to handle malcontents...what real players want is to win not to have a party atmosphere everyday or to be treated fairly because they do not like to be embarrassed. This situation is not about talent, it is about leadership and players wanting to win and be led. When the wheels start to come off TT job is not to participate in the fall but to stop the mental breakdown of his team mates and get them focused. Rex losses it at times like this and distances himself from his players. He also needs to buck up when this is happening. not speaking of talent but leadership....this team has no Talley or Kelly or Beebe, or Hull.

you missed the rest of it. Rex took a front 7 who was great, destroyed it and then fixed it while all at the same time took two of the best corners and their nickel back who could start on many teams and destroyed them. Now that is magic. Is this about players not being able to learn this very complicated system or the coach just not being able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

The field goal sequence should be investigated for a gambling fix.
