Dak's contract has functional GTDs of 231M (out of 240M total for the contract) but almost half of that is just guaranteeing his salary from year to year. He was only GTD 129M at signing. If he turns into a complete pumpkin (unlikely), there's a practical out in 2028 where he only costs 34M in dead cap but they could even still cut him in 2026 taking on a 62M dead cap

Watson's contract was fully GTD at signing meaning they owe him the 231M no matter what and his dead cap number in 2026 (the last year of his contract BTW) is still 99M. Its just structured in a way that they cannot really cut him (unless the new suspension/charges/accusations voids his GTD salaries). Even if his future salaries are voided, he would still be a dead cap of 80M next year if they cut him based on bonuses already paid.

80m would be worth it...the fans would support it to get rid of that POS.

Then if the owner stepped aside...even better.

The NFL should give the equivalent dollars to women's groups as an apology for allowing this transaction in the first place.

My guess is that a payoff from one owner to another happened to hide the real truth.

  3. I think it shows that trump is now the same age as Biden was last election. He is declining fast it appears. Never seen him so tame. Never seen him so lame. And what is wrong with eating cats. We all know Chinese restaurants have done that for years 🤣

Vance is not helping the ticket IMHO, just doubling up with same base. He does not attract more voters. If Harris is elected the USA will never be the same again and the Repubs appear to  have the wrong strategy.

Not going to lie, kinda pissed me off he had 2 TDs for Houston and was not happy watching the highlights...especially since we were down 17-3 when they showed the first one.

You mean like when Allen throws you the ball deep late in the 4th against KC in the playoffs, hits you perfectly in stride and you drop the ball?

As last season saw a move away from Diggs, it had occurred to me that dropped balls and plays off where more than accidental. When your QB begins to suddenly NOT, show trust, and plays off force him to waste the first 1.5 seconds of plays, you know the receiver actions has caused a change in the

O coordinator to modify play calling.

If a QB hates a receiver personally, but that receiver plays hard and catches the ball, he throws it.

If he thinks drops are laziness or INTENTIONAL and plays off also are common, he quickly stops throwing.

And that's partly driven by the desire for homes much larger than the one I grew up in. Maybe we need to bring back the 1,100 sq ft starter home?

Not sure when you grew up, but the late 70s/early 80s of my youth weren't exactly known for lack of drugs and crime.

Earlier times  I was the perfect age for the British Invasion, mixed with Jan and Dean, early Dylan and even Wilmer Alexander and the Dukes.

This is an interesting topic that spans across party lines. The issue is real but I suspect there are multiple causes.

People now spend more time in internet communities rather than participate in groups, clubs, attend church, etc where they can meet partners.

Some women and men are just very picky with the attitude of “I’m not settling for anyone unless they meet all my requirements.” Many people have superficial standards based upon people’s appearance or financial wealth. Instagram images of perfect people may influence this.

American culture does not celebrate the academic achievements of young people. Sports achievements are what we celebrate as a culture in our high schools and colleges. Meanwhile, the high school nerds are ruling the world. I wonder if this young male problem is present in other cultures which place higher emphasis on academic achievement.

Obviously as women have more options for employment and careers, they no longer feel a need to be attached to a man for financial support. America has a culture of independence so women are doing what they need to do to not be dependent upon men. I know alot of men who earn less than their professional wives. It’s not a problem if they understand each other.

Young people often move away from home for jobs in distant cities where they are on their own. Student loan debt, stupidly expensive cars, increased housing prices all make it hard for young adults. Child care, if you can find it, is crazy expensive.

If you are worried about your bills, you may not be as interested in finding a partner. As Scott mentions in the video, most of the wealth accumulation has gone towards older generations. We need policies that help all young people. We are leaving our kids with some crappy issues to deal with as we refuse to address hard issues like the federal debt. It’s hard to think that they will be better off financially than previous generations.

Agree. One real issue the young people have is financial, loaded with student debt then being able to settle down in a home. 50 years ago, the older used 2 bedroom home in a city or town, perhaps what was called war time housing etc, was the place a young couple could start, build some time together, play at life a bit, maybe a child or not, certainly a dog or cat.

Those types of neighborhoods are now gone and off limits. They are crime and drug infested, not a good investment and the young folks expectations of safety and security provided by their parent cannot be met.

So where do they go to play at marriage, they don’t. They can more safely huddle in groups of male or females, 3 to an apartment and just have FWB.

Crime and drugs...in my young age I never had to deal with that.

Interesting. Thanks for pointing that out.

I think there are two or three very corrosive things out there that are at work.

    For girls, social media.

For boys, video games and online porn.

For girls, social media makes them hyper social in a world of other girls. They emulate each other's styles, modes of communicating, etc. and have little interaction outside that world. And it starts when they're not even teenagers.

For boys, video games serve the same role, and porn both makes them less interested in the real thing and less understanding of how to communicate with actual real girls.

You can add drugs to this list.

Would you have a long term relationship with a woman who uses? Would you bet on a future with a woman who uses? Reverse that thought.

I mean who cares, I played with 2 players who were on the US National team. The point still remains.

You don't know how to kick a football. It's completely different. Took me several days to consistently be able to get lift on the ball. Different striking point.

Nah, you are just a blowhard who thinks you know something but doesn't.

Awe...no I do know how you kick a football, but could not kick a football even close to that kind of distance.

Point flippin is, he once could and has failed to perfect his craft.

Big time, knew w people on a team...wow, some expert

Move on turk, you ain't no expert....

    Harder than you think.

As someone who played soccer for his whole life and then was a kicker in a few flag and touch football leagues, it's far harder than most people think.

It's actually the most technically precise action in an NFL game because from snap to kick is under 1.5 seconds including the catch and put down by the holder.

All parts have to be in sync, if even one isn't the whole operation fails.

The holder can make quite a big difference based on how he is holding the ball, the angle, etc which then can change the strike point of the kick. Since you are only kicking a very small portion of the ball in comparison to say, a soccer ball, small changes mean big issues over longer distances.

And once you start second guessing yourself as a kicker, the amount of technique corrections you can try to do are mind blowing. From how you line up, to the angle you take, to the timing, etc.

As someone who has never done it, you wouldn't understand, but I'm trying to at least give you some insights as to why it isn't as easy as you think.

Don't be so sure. I played soccer (football) at semi pro level, I know how to kick, but the point is he has the talent, he did the work, he had the job, he reach the pinnacle...and now is blowing it.

Awe, there are some technical points to consider, awe, he has to study, he has to practice...so mind blowing...gee Josh never has to do that, or recall things, or adjust his throw...

Bass has failed to be a pro and has wasted his talents.

Agreed.  And Shavers and Gore were excellent.

    Hardy was very good.

    Bad:

The defense.  Especially the line and LBs.  Bad.

    Bass is a problem.

WTF is Bass doing with his life to be so bad. He is a friggin' kicker. Once you get to a certain level how frigging hard can it be to stay good ( not perfect just good) and make millions for 10+ years. Many many have done it.

4 hours of practice skills and exercise, get smucked in a game once per year, you don't hang with all the Wacko players, the ball boy is your best friend, lots a gals, lots of time on your hands, no press interviews except Tasker, check your bank account, no bandages, no surgery, free shoes, WTF,

If you cannot handle the easiest job in football, get out, cut his butt, move on.

Other players lose years off their life to play, risk brain disease, suffer life altering injuries, carry an extra 100 lbs, and compete for their job every year. now that is pressure.

You...just need to be a pro, dedicated, you have the job, you take 3 steps, the target doesn't move,

"I never want to see you in the rest of training camp without a football in your hands, not on the field, not in the dressing room, not in the cafeteria, not eating, not in the shower, not at the movies, not in a meeting, not sleeping".

The Capitol breach was the seminal event that day.  If that didn't happen, it's a "mostly peaceful protest" like the Summer of 2020 was.

The claim was made that Trump's speech caused people to break in.  Now we just learned that they knew people were planning on breaking in the day before he even gave his speech.  So, besides the idiots who decided to break into the Capitol of their own volition, a lot of the blame for the Capitol being breached is on those who improperly assessed/ignored the security concers.

Nixon would never have resigned if the dems had more locks...

  14. 14 minutes ago, Doc said:

    What non participant?

So now she was behind the grassy knoll? Like Trump didn't ask or accept more security which almost cost him his life.

Nancy was trusting of the system, she is a bad judge of potential circumstances, but in no way did she create the crowd, gang and mercenaries following Buffalohead.

That is like blaming the democrats for not have additional locks on the door at the Watergate.

  15. 1 minute ago, Doc said:

As we now know, the risk of a break-in into the Capitol was known the day before J6 and additional security was once again refused.  Which is why Nancy took responsibility for it.

Blaming a non participant is deflecting the responsibility from trump. Nancy has her many many faults including fostering the likes of AOC and Harris.

She went too far left to bridge the gap to repub mods. She was in no small way a leading cause of the rise of AOC gang and Gaetz and Green.

She may have made a bad call on Jan 5th, but she is not responsible to the behavior of trump and friends

The difference is all the bolded stuff is happening/has already happened, versus speculating what might happen under Trump.

I used the word premise for a reason, but, some events and actions already did happen 4 years ago, so the possibility for the Trump future actions is more than just wild forecasting, it is very likely.

Either way, the couch may win the election.

  17. Ya know that the premise Trump being the fuhrer and the rest of those possibilities is not too far fetched, and anyone with the ability to read and listen without prejudice could come to that conclusion.

The trouble is the left, with its pattern of supporting non citizens, illegal migrants, and criminals over citizens, allowing major cities to crumble, supporting Hamas, defunding the police, covering for Joe is no better than Trump.

As I heard on Bill Maher, voters have e choices.

    Republican

    Democrats

The couch...which may just happen as both other choices are not really choices.

There is no evidence that people are being sent from Venezuela.  That is a a scare tactic made up by Trump and his cult never questions what he says.

Of course they are..and how do poor poor Nigerians get here, and Somalis, etc. Swiss Air hives them free flights to Mexico so they can walk across the border. Yeah, like nobody pays their cell phone bills, haha,,,who has got closed eyes. This is not about race, or religion, color of skin, or language spoke, this is pure and simple an invasion. Drug use is going down right? No

Drug sales and importation of drugs is down? No!

Crime is down? No! The number of tax payers is up? No.

North America thrives on immigration for the last 100 years, not invasion.

How is it possible for a city that hands out a million dollars of parking tickets a month, refuse to obey and enforce federal laws for crime and immigration?

Wow..when did the term illegal lose its meaning?

You are the most rediculous lefty imaginable.

Of course these people are sent, by drug lords by governments, by criminals. The flipping Pope sent thousands to do the same. NA is being over run by drug smugglers and criminals. Look at your sanctuary cities. Let's end the police. Let's not have bail.

No honest citizens would ever want that. Not one.

I value Jim and Gloria's life and freedom and safety in LA or Ft. Myers or Bradford, or Tucson more than any guy crossing the border illegally.

One day you should discover what a fascist is. You use big inflammatory words to cover up the destruction of your society.
