Fair enough. I still think that 99% of Bills fans have a touch of defeatism built in. It is refreshing to know that not everyone is ready to jump off a building because our second year QB has thrown INT's in camp. EJ is nowhere near a finished product. But I get it, patience is a tough sell to Bills fans. The season can not start soon enough!

You are a better man than most or you are in denial. I thought for sure Lindell was going to miss that 38 yarder to finally beat the pats* 3 years ago. The thought never crossed your mind? There is a fundamental, psychological flaw with anyone who is a true Bills fan. This flaw is inherent even in "homers" and "fan boys" just to a lesser extent and often times manifested in different ways. We are defeatists. We simply expect failure. We expect it because its what we know. Even the Bills greatest accomplishment (making the Superbowl 4 years in a row) is saddled with the caveat that they lost all 4 too. Remember a year ago when we drafted a DEVELOPMENTAL quarterback, who was supposed to sit behind a vet, learn and develop? Are we seriously going to crucify the guy already? Just stop and think about it. Defeatists...

The awkward silence after his comment about "we want to score more points than the other team" was absolutely hilarious. He even had to laugh at himself. I'm afraid I'm starting to like him...obviously.

I actually love it. I have never been "all in" on the Marrone hire, but this tells me that hes getting comfortable. Call it a hunch, but I think Marrone knows the Bills are poised to take the next step and he figures he can show a little edge. I have no problem with it at all.

i was wondering about your second point myself. its still early and this could easily be a message to woods that they will not put up with anything that could result in a 15 yarder.

i work with 2 giants fans and they both asked about him today. i have to admit, i had no idea who he was until today. i will certainly be keeping an eye on him now though.

i get it. but the reality is that dollars play a huge part in it all. take money out of the equation and fitz would be a great backup for this current team. i agree with you, its just not realistic. you have to weigh so many more things than just the player and the place. ill take thad and his 81 qbr last year over an overpaid and disgruntled fitz.

at the right price, yes. but they couldn't pay him all that money to be a veteran backup.

i was thinking about this today as well. from what the reports say he looked really good after the rain cleared. it made me wonder if it gave him a chance to settle down and relax a little. one thing i think we can all agree on about EJ is that he really wants to be great. you can tell that he takes his job seriously. maybe some of his early camp struggles are coming from pressing a bit. i think that will certainly get better with time. maybe he can get some of that synthetic weed from dareus.

Bradham was my choice along with Searcy a close second. I like Brown, but was thinking Woods for a fantasy sleeper too.

Hello All, My local sports radio station (Greenville, NC) is doing an NFL preview over the next few days. They are choosing local fans of all 32 teams to answer questions about their team and yours truly has been asked to answer questions for the Bills segment. I played DB/WR on a pretty solid 6A high school team in FL (played with Kawika Mitchell). I was by no means very good, but I played with and against several D1/NFL caliber athletes and I somewhat understand the concepts of playing DB. The first move Sammy makes in this clip literally gave me chills. That is not human. That is undefendable.
