EJ looked calm and in control..
buffalopdc replied to BackInDaDay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He played two series and next game he will probably play about the same amount of reps. Also, he is in year two of his playing career with a total of 10 games under his belt. While I 100% agree with many that he is no Jim Kelly (as there is only one), to already give up on EJ is short sighted as QB's take time to develop and figure out if they have the "it" factor.. Kelly had 36 starts in the USFL before he even got to Buffalo and his first year stats in Buffalo were similar percentage wise to EJ, except that he played a full 16 game season. If we give up on every QB 10 games into a career will will continue to be perennial losers AND...it is preseason. -

I was at this game...there was no snow. Just wind and some rain. -
Update on renovations to The Ralph
buffalopdc replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have been to about 5 new(er) stadiums including Baltimore, Dallas, and Washington (some of the biggest int he NFL). They Suck compared to the Ralph (in its past configuration) as far as sight lines go and viewing football. The food was better but I go to the game to watch football. I eat in the parking lot. -
I did not have illusions of playoffs at the start of the season as this is a VERY young team top to bottom. So far this is about what I expected and I am not that disappointed. I would love them to be 6-0, however, just not realistic. We competed yesterday with Thad Lewis against a defense that held Tom Brady to no touchdowns. What gives me hope is that Marrone was disappointed that they did not get the W. That is the difference...he expects to win and I think they will come.

I thought is was a player for player trade?

After the draft EJ and the Bills got completely blasted by Steven A. Smith (and Skip Bayless) in this video. I hope they eat their words sooner rather than later...like week one. The is bulletin board material for EJ and the Bills. The only thing I do agree with is that there is tremendous pressure on EJ to succeed. Most rated him poorly in the draft and expect him to fail (especially in Buffalo) in the national media following the draft. In Buffalo, WGR flat out asked him how does it feel to be the savior of the Bills. No pressure there. http://youtu.be/UxrjajikasU

Stevie works out like crazy in the off season, he just does not use the Bill's off season conditioning program. He, with about 25 other NFL players, go and work out with Jay Glazer at his MMA boot camp. Look it up before you slam some kids having fun. -
Stevie Johnson helped off the field

My sarcasm meter is broken today, but didn't Stevie work out all off season with Jay Glazer in CA with a bunch of other NFL players including Kapernick (sic). -
Portable tailgate TV questions..
buffalopdc replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I run a 40 inch LCD off a small generator (in addition to a few other things). Before the game we hook up a DVD player or use the micro HDMI port on most newer phones to watch highlights on youtube and bills films. After the game we hook up an antenna. We use the Leaf Indoor HDTV antenna. It is paper thin and works well outside. I have always been able to get the later game on it provided it is on 2, 4 or 7. Just keep it under cover. Last year I had Sunday Ticket Max however, the games would go to black when I tried to get them to play at the stadium or when I tried to hook it up to the TV. I really think a HD antenna is your best bet and a low cost option if you do not care about what late game you watch. I am going to look into slingbox and see how that might work. -
Reading the buffalo news articles today, and ...
buffalopdc replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the bills would have drafted Tom Brady or Tony Romo or even Kurt Warner in the first round people would have flipped out. . Also QB,s like Joe Theisman, Bart Starr (drafted in round 17) and Roger Staubach (Round 10) who all turned out to be pretty good were drafted late. My point is the draft is a crap shoot. One of the articles on TBD showed that only about 50% of first round QB's pan out, so I say roll the dice (or flip a coin if it is 50/50). If there is someone there you like who cares whether someone thinks they are worthy or not of the pick, time will be the deciding factor. I would rather flip a coin on a QB at 8 than draft another Maybin. -
Site has 5 Bills games listed as the worst of 2013 NFL season

I was there and it was like watching paint dry. It was cold, windy, and awful. I do not think the browns completed a pass the whole game. If not for Roscoe's fumble that game would have ended in a 3-3 tie. -

thanks I will try that. -
Does anyone remember the Buffalo Bills Boogies from the early 90's? I think it was oldies 104 that had one for every game play in 91, 92, and 93. If anyone has them and would like to share please let me know. They were comical and fun Bills songs and I think they would be great at a tailgate. I have seen a few of them on youtube but not sure how to download them to MP3. If you got them and want to share that would be great. Those were the good old days and I hope they are coming back.

Do we really need stadium comfort improvements?
buffalopdc replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have been to many stadiums and RW stadium is in serious need for an update. The bench seats are horrible, the concourses are horrible, the are not enough entrances, and the club level is step behind other teams. If you want to sell out, the venue needs improved (in addition to the product on the field).
