  1. On ESPN's First Take, Skip just said Buffalo is one of the few teams who might take a chance on Vick. He cited a need to raise attendance and keep the team in Buffalo (yes, really) as the reasons for why Buffalo grabbed TO and would be the team most likely to make a move for Vick. I completely disagree with his assessment (both in terms of his logic and conclusion) What are your thoughts?
  2. Even though he isn't in a contract year, Trent's contract will need to change if he has a good season. If he plays well, they'll need to offer him a better contract to keep him happy and rightly so. The Bills will almost definitely wait until the end of the season to do this regardless of how well he plays.
  3. Pats- 10-6 (Brady is good but not as good as he was before the injury) Bills- 10-6 (Bills underachieved last season; Edwards takes the next step. Most at TwoBillsDrive.com are still not happy ) Dolphins- 7-9 (overachieved last year) Jets 4-12 (not a good team, all hype)
  4. ? It's really about time to focus on 2009 anyway
  5. I'm not sure if it's really that bad; we're not the Raiders or Lions. However, reverting to the "we're not the lowest common denominator" phrase probably isn't a good sign either.
  6. If true, is this good or bad for us? I kind of like the Jets sacrificing picks for Sanchez. I think he is a bit overvalued and the Jets, an aging team still waiting for Goodell's ruling on walker use during games, probably need all the picks they can muster.
  7. Fixed this for you I'm not just saying this because I go to FSU... all I am going to say that this kid will be a mediocre player in the NFL... I guarantee that tebow backs up the quarterback who wins a superbowl within five years.. we should not mistake this kid for a starter...
  8. Pre-Randy Moss Tom Brady. I seem to recall him doing pretty well with sub-par talent around him. McNabb in Philadelphia has also performed well with mediocre talent. I'm aware that these people don't fit your definition of a "gun slinger" but they do stand as proof that quarterbacks can perform well with mediocre talent. Having a defense that isn't a sieve may help Cutler mature as well.
  9. From sources deep within... The size of overinflated super-sized beach balls; he has to push them around in a wheelbarrow (you asked)
  10. Cool, interesting, thanks for posting this.
  11. ExiledInIllinois, my post was not targeted at you but was more a critique of the initial post and the general discussion that followed. However, you responded to someone who was asking where the initial article stated that Stallworth was drunk by saying the following: "Kinda looks the same to me? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Buzzed vs. Drunk" Your response clearly insinuates that he was under the influence of something and that only the extent to which he was impaired is a matter of debate. You may, in fact, be right. However, as of yet, no one has posted any links that say as much. I simply said that it's a bit over the top to throw around such claims without any hard data at all.
  12. Why is everyone saying that he was DUI? The article that the initial poster linked to never said the he was under the influence or that police suspected that he was, merely that they're conducting a routine test of his blood alchohol level at the time of the accident. Here's a quote from another article on the incident: Stallworth, 28, was cooperating and no charges have been filed, Sanchez said. Officers drew blood to test for drugs or alcohol, which is routine, but police said it was too early to tell if Stallworth was impaired or violating traffic laws. Police would not say where he was coming from or where he was headed. Link to full article: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-s...p&type=lgns I'm not saying that he wasn't driving under the influence, but it is irresponsible to simply assume that he was out of some personal bias or agenda. Why don't we just wait for some actual evidence to come out before we go throwing these types of allegations around.
  13. I added Owens in my version and the passing game is very solid. At least next year Bills fans will be at less of a disadvantage when choosing teams.
  14. Normally, I hold back from adding my two cents into a discussion like this, but I thought Flbillsfan#1's post was obviously sarcastic, hence the all-cap words for ironic emphasis. However, maybe I just prefer to read it that way because it makes the later comment about sarcasm flying over people's heads incredibly funny.
  15. Not to start another TO thread, but I think this topic is unique enough to warrant its own section. The following is a quote from a dolphins fan in response to Tim Graham's story on ESPN: "Great. So due to Parcells stubborness, we now have to face both TO AND Moss twice a year. With our secondary in shambles. Right on Bill! And the Phins keep on the tradition of letting the talent slip to other divisional teams........ It's not as if we already have a tough schedule or anything. Is there a 'roll eyes' smiley on this forum?" I wonder, is this person representative of the fan base of the other teams in the AFC East? If so, this may be the first time a Bills off-season move has these fans concerned. Can someone who checks these other boards give the rest of us some insight as to what they are saying? All Trolls are welcome here as you are representative of the other teams' fan bases.
  16. Wow, what an incredibly depressing post. Cheer up guy. I think rooting for the Bills is starting to get to you a bit. Maybe you should check out for a while and focus on some more positive things and come back when you're in a better place .
  17. I disagree with this assessment. Many of Trent's errors came when teams dropped into coverage and Edwards made bad reads. If you look at the Browns' game, I think you'll see that many (but not all) of those bad throws were unforced. Due to his quick release and effectiveness at short throws, I think he actually did okay when being blitzed.
  18. We're going to have to agree to disagree here. I don't want to start this argument, but I'm not sure how you can possibly draw this conclusion based on their performance thus far.
  19. The Jets will decline next year if Favre retires. Their team has a very small window.
  20. Go Jets I live in Florida, and I'd rather not deal with Miami fans the entire offseason.
  21. The Lions have also been playing much better of late. The interim coach is doing a good job of motivating them.
  22. Definitely. Not sure who will be available, but we really need a decent veteran QB. Maybe we can steal one of Tampa's 30 QBs. John Kitna might be available and wouldn't be a horrible option. Just please God not Grossman.
  23. Actually, I think this year hurt because we were in the box and even got ahead on the count (in first place for the first half of the year). Then, we swung at three horrible pitches while everyone else in the division became effective two strike hitters. Note to self, never use baseball metaphors when discussing football again.
  24. Lol, our coach is the NFL version of Weekend at Bernies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X-bnzzM3xg
  25. I think you're oversimplifying this. Please use your theory to explain Kurt Warner signing with Arizona or Chad Pennington signing with the Dolphins (in the interests of fairness, please also note Trent Green with the Rams). Good veterans are frequently cast off by teams who are trying to reorganize their franchise for some reason. Such players are often still viable and will usually sign with anyone. There are still other examples that don't conform to these parameters either (Vick and Shaub for example).
