That seems a bit harsh. I'm not saying he'd light the world on fire, but I'd shoot a 6th over there for him (assuming Tampa just wants any kind of compensation). He had his moments during the previous year, before the offensive line went to crap.

If we bring him in for nothing and use him as a 3rd option behind EJ and another free agent, why not? We can't have enough QBs on the roster.

Got the same vibe. Non-sequiturs everywhere. Really, let's just end this cheerleading thing in the NFL. It's weird and doesn't send good messages to women--or to men about women's place in the world. It works in college, but just seems too over the top in the NFL. Hell, just bring in college cheerleaders if people really want to preserve the institution. The problem seems to arise when people think that this is a professional career of some sort.

This. Could have been a great game. Feel bad for Cook there. What a way to end what was otherwise a great freshman season. MM looks great but is that style really going to transfer over to the NFL in a sustainable way?

Ha! Yeah, four meaningless scrimmage games... P.S. I get that you're being sarcastic, but the whole concept that bowl games mean anything (outside of the playoff) drives me crazy.

I'm sorry, but did you watch Manuel play at FSU? He was a profound disappointment for us FSU fans, and the narrative on him hasn't changed: he's a great kid with all the tools and for some reason can't bring it all together. FSU lost in big moments with him at the helm despite a significant talent advantage. Since he departed, the Seminoles have won a national championship and haven't lost a game... Winston, for all of his faults, is an example of what having an NFL-caliber QB can do for a franchise. Edit: with all of that being said, I do hope things work out. He's a great guy with a lot of potential, but counting all of the seasons I watched him in Tallahassee, I'm about to enter year 6 hoping things will click for him.
