  1. Coming out of Tulane, JP had a rep as a player with physical talent that played on a poor team & would need time to develop.
  2. Well he did throw it one yard past the line of scrimmage to Lynch for the TD.
  3. Please, that was not some exotic defense the Browns were playing, it was BASIC defense. The picks were due to poor decisions & throws by Trent PERIOD.
  4. I'm sorry you don't have a dad that could have filled you in on the Bills history & football knowledge in general.
  5. The error in my opinion was not drafting Losman. It was the coaches Losman has had. JP has a similar skill set to Flutie & had he been utilized in the same manner I believe he would have been successful in Buffalo.
  6. They weren't very good, unlike the trade for Johnson where the Jags got Fred Taylor a potential HOF player.
  7. How do you build tolerance when you avoid the cold at every chance you get? Trent can't get out of Buffalo fast enough @ the end of the season & doesn't come back until it warms up.
  8. JP is not a flat footed statue. The COACHES wanted JP to stay in the pocket. With PROPER coaching playing to JP's strengths, in the future I think you will see JP roll out & throw (something he does VERY WELL) often enough to keep defenses off guard.
  9. This is 2008. Overall this team has much more talent than the 2006 team JP started for, & the Bills have an easier schedule than 2006. As I said JP would have OUTPLAYED Trent THIS YEAR if he were given the chance.
  10. Not me, just saying on top of everything else, Trent has yet to have even one decent game in cold weather.
  11. I will also take the wins over stats. Trent is 5-5 That is not a winning record. I firmly believe if JP had played every game this year the Bills would have a winning record, not 5-5.
  12. At 5-5 I would disagree with that. I believe JP would have had a winning record.
  13. There is a difference between having a bad play or two in a game or even having a bad game to Trent in the last 4 games. Eli at no time Regressed from playing good to playing bad, bad, bad, worse.
  14. To take advantage of Evans talents the Bills need a QB that is able to throw the ball past the line of scrimmage.
  15. Trent saw that defense the previous 3 games, if he was as smart as he is given credit for, you would think he would know how to attack it.
  16. I'm just saying some guys handle the weather better than others. Favre & Starr embraced it, but there are a number of players in the league that HATE playing in the cold, not that they can't & they are usually from areas where the climate is more mild.
  17. Good post. Everyone that is comparing Trent's struggles to Eli & others are missing the point, those players had ups & downs. Trent has had his ups & downs,(Only 7 TD's with 7 INT's in the first 9 games) I think those are to be expected, but the last 4 games were a steady regression, with the last game being the worst by far.
  18. Although Kelly played in college @ Miami, he was born in Penn. & played his H.S. ball there. He was prepared to deal with the weather. Trent had never experienced this weather before coming to Buffalo. I think the rest of the year will determine if Trent is the future starting QB in Buffalo. I think the Bills would be better served to draft a QB from the East or Midwest in the future.
  19. If Eli played the way Trent has played the last 4 games, I would bet Coughlin would pull him.
  20. That's better than Trents INTs with NO pass to Evans!
  21. I can't say who wolud be a good coach. If available, I would love to see Jim Hasslett the Coach of the Bills for one. Look at Atlanta, I did not know this guy at all & he is doing a great job- MUCH better than DJ.
  22. With out pressure even a Matt Cassel or Trent Edwards can find their receivers. Even if you don't get to the QB, pressure will cause errant throws even by Favre, Pennington, Brady etc. leading to interceptions.
  23. I agree with this but they could have called for a screen pass or an end around run instead of up the gut again & again.
  24. Yeah but there is such a thing as a BLITZ. Maybe you've heard of it? I'm not so sure if the Bills coaching staff has.
  25. This team has had PENALTIES all season, such as false starts, offsides, etc. that is coaching. They also do not seem to have a good game plan on offense or defense for much of the season. How do you not put pressure on a QB such as Casell & the Pats* & expect to win? How do you not RUN the ball when the RB's are getting good per carry average? The Bills are 5-5 EXPLAIN TO ME how WELL PREPARED THEY WERE.
