What makes you think he put that on himself? The FACT is after that game Trent was named the starter. I believe JP was told win or else & he just echoed what he was told. The reason JP was still on the team this season is Dick was under pressure to WIN this season & with Trent being INJURY PRONE, it was hoped JP could come in when Trent went down & keep the ship afloat. Why else would JP call himself out if he was not told he had to win? Why would Dick call himself out & say "ANYTHING LESS THAN THE PLAYOFFS IS UNACCEPTABLE" in preseason unless he was told that by Ralph?

The point is at the end of the 1st half, the Bills had an opportunity to put up at least 3 points. Trent did not LEAD his team to get back to the line of scrimmage as Jim Kelly would have done to get the clock stopped. He had 4 quarters to LEAD his team to POINTS & was unable to put up ANY. That is just not very good period.

The Defense allowed 13 POINTS, 7 of which were a result of a Trent fumble. Trent had an opportunity to win the game and didn't get it done. He was responsible for 0 points for the Bills that is NOT GOOD. PERIOD.

And unlike MOST of YOUR excuses for Trent most likely a VALID one

I can't understand anyone saying a QB that put up ZERO POINTS not only played well but better than the opposing QB that put up 13 POINTS, that is just CRAZY.

Go through my posts & try to find ONE that I called for JP to start ANY GAME this year! Trent WHEN HEALTHY is decent. That equates to BACK UP QB in this league. Trent is no better than JP & can't stay healthy. A QB has to stay HEALTHY to be CONSISTENT. I agree about his inability to trust his receivers. I think this is also a reason JP looked so bad this year, he did not get enough time to develop chemistry with his receivers

Morris is the new DC in Tampa, he could take a HC job if offered one, but I wouldn't want him because even if he were good, I don't think he could assemble a good staff at this point in his career. The Bills NEED a NEW HC but also need an entirely new staff except for Bobby April.

The Bills are in a similar situation as they were in the 70's. After SUCKING for years Ralph finally hired Chuck Knox who brought the Bills back to respectability & he did it fairly quickly too. My HOPE is Ralph repeats history & hires a GOOD coach NOW.

ALL the Trent lovers blamed JP for a similar fumble. Trent looked no better than JP would have today, & yes the coaching can be blamed, but it should also be blamed for JP's poor play as well. This team needs better coaching & better QB play.

I posted at the begining of the season when the Bills were winning & Fins were losing that Miami was an exciting fun team to watch & warned they could beat the Bills when most posts at the time had the Bills killing them.

My guess is there was a clause in the extension Dick signed that stipulated the Bills had to make the playoffs. In the preseason Dick said more than once, " anything less than the playoffs is unacceptable." I think Dick was told he had to make the playoffs or else, the same way JP was told last year he had to win the Jags game or else.

We will all find out what this team is made of on Sunday. If Trent plays well & Dick coaches well & the Bills win GREAT otherwise, I would like to see a coaching change & a QB to compete with Trent for the starters job next year.

Sony as was said before has more built in protection devices than most. I have a CHEAP Magnavox DVD recorder & can make Great copies of ANYTHING (not HD but very good for SD).

Good point about JP. The names Jauron has been called are NOTHING compared to the names & insults JP has endured because he failed to live up to expectations in Buffalo.

I agree it is probably by design. In Tampa in the AM on WDAE The Ron & Ian show they talk sports about 50% of the time. They have hot BABES on about 25% of the time ( You can check them out on their web site) & talk about women about 25% of the time.

I will not root for the Bills to lose, but I won't be SAD if they do. If Dick can get this team to beat the Pats* who are fighting for the playoffs maybe he deserves another year.........I don't think it will happen.

The FACT is Trent has played almost as many games in TWO seasons as JP has in 5, & he has not played all that much better, plus he is INJURY PRONE. JP is gone after NEXT WEEK so you can STOP comparing Trent to him. The Bills NEED a NEW GOOD QB.(Along with NEW COACHES)
