  1. As I said he had been INJURED. He then got into Grudens doghouse which takes forever to get out of, leading to a lack of balls coming his way. He made some nice timely catches last year, & I think 09 will be a good year for him, & as I said he is a GREAT downfield blocker which would help the running backs a lot.
  2. Michael Clayton of the Bucs is available. If you want downfield blocking, this guy is the BEST in the NFL at that. He's been plaged by injuries, but was healthy last year and started to show flashes of his rookie year play.
  3. If Trent proves he's the man this year, he will be rewarded with a new contract. If not he will have been paid as he should have been as the 3rd round pick he is.
  4. My personal favorite would be the 69 Jets with Joe Willie. I doubt there will EVER be a bigger underdog that wins the Super Bowl. Don Shulas Biggest loss.
  5. Why would anyone as smart as you move to Jacksonville?
  6. I love Ted, but hunting season & football season coincide & we all know how Ted loves his hunting.
  7. OK, nice to see you use a sentence............feel free to use as many letters on this board as you want or need, there is no extra charge.
  8. This aside from his durability issue is a MAJOR weakness in Trent's game. When the other team KNOWS you aren't going down field it makes running the ball VERY difficult & the dump off passes don't pick up as many yards as they would otherwise because the defense stays near the line of scrimmage.
  9. You are correct they have different running styles................................BUT they both run EFFECTIVELY, & both have good arms (much better than Trent's). NEITHER is a drop back pocket passer that can't move......... That is the opposite style of both White & Tebow.
  10. you are right, the op is probably under 18 years old & chances are hasn't been to Buffalo since he was 6 or 7 years old.
  11. Announcers on TV said it, & people that were at the games reported it on this board, MANY TIMES Evans or another receiver was WIDE OPEN downfield & Trent checked down for NO REASON.
  12. Pro Player stadium is a FOOTBALL stadium that has BADLY housed a baseball team.
  13. Edwards is INJURED every year, & you're talking about McNabb breaking down? Someday better be in 09. Trent will be a THIRD YEAR Vet with plenty of starting experience, 09 is the time Trent makes us realize he's the MAN or he is FINISHED as a starter.
  14. Try brushing on a mixture of Franks hot sauce & butter (the more butter the more mild) after the wings are about 2/3rds cooked.
  15. Welcome to the board What's up with all these new posters, did another Bills board shut down?
  16. Now that JP is gone, it was bound to happen sooner or later. We will probably agree on other things before next season is over.
  17. What about Jax has changed between 05 when that column was written & now..........NOTHING
  18. If we had no interest we wouldn't be on this board. There have been only a couple people who have threatened to stop being fans, & they were ridiculed mercilessly. The negative people on this board (I am one myself) have every right to be negative about this team. I prefer to think of it as bitching rather than whining, & you & your 43 posts have NO business telling others on this board where to take their garbage.
  19. I don't see Jax getting another Super Bowl unless the team is sold & stays in Jax, then the NFL may put one there to throw a bone to the new owner. Aside from that, I think the team will move well before Jax gets enough rooms & Nightlife/Resturants to lure the NFL to give Jax another Super Bowl, as you said Jax is more a college town & DOESN'T support the Jags at all. Aside from college Jax has to compete with Miami for fans, I know MOST people in Orlando are PIZZED they get JAX rather than Miami on TV (when Jax has AWAY games because they don't sell out to be televised for home games).
  20. Welcome to the board. What is going on, we are getting a lot of new posters on this board recently. Anyway, to your point, were you in Jax when they had the Superbowl there? It was a DISASTER, they did not have anywhere near enough hotel rooms & had to bring in Cruise ships for people to stay in. Also the nightlife/ # of GOOD resturants in JVille SUCKS. The NFL does not NEED Jax for the Super Bowl, Tampa & Miami are both GREAT Super Bowl cities. LA was a GREAT local for the Super Bowl & they haven't had a team in how long? Your point of view on the Bills situation (not including the Jax take) has been posted on this board MANY times over.
  21. The Senior Bowl was the 1st time I saw him play. He had a fantastic day. He took off & ran a couple times & picked up 1st downs, looked GREAT passing the ball. He made throws to all different levels & had a nice bomb for a TD. The only caveat is the rules of the Senior Bowl dictate a VERY simple defense. He was however far & away the BEST QB to play in that game.
  22. MOST QB's need time to develop, some more than others, some NEVER develop. Where does Trent fit in here? NOBODY knows at this point. The one irrefutable thing we do know about Trent is He is injury prone. As someone that has had more than his share of injuries myself, I can tell you, the older you get the longer it takes to heal & you better be able to live with the pain.
  23. I think the MAIN problem as was said in the opening paragraph of this thread is COACHING. Does ANYONE on this board think Jauron & his staff could have guided either the Steelers or Cards to the Super Bowl? I sure don't.
  24. I agree with you Coaching is problem #1. I'm just saying Vet leadership is also important & players are accountable to each other.
