You would not think a coach would keep his best players off the field, but as Ramius said, Dick did just that in the past. Maybe this year if he thinks his job & career is on the line he may play his best players.
What are you talking about? Crayonz is not making anything up. Marshall has said he wants to be traded & Crayonz is just speculating about a potential trade in a very unCrayonz like serious post.
Lindy's called Hangartner the Panthers key loss. They said he was the putty that Carolina could use to fill any hole on the interior of the O line. He has to be better than the two players the Bills used at Center last year. I like the fact that this line is being called tougher & nastier than any the Bills have had in a LONG time.
I think JP would rather sit out the season than to go to a BAD situation. Byron Leftwich made a HUGE mistake signing with Tampa before the Draft. He could have stayed at Pitt as Ben's Back up, but he wanted a chance to start. Now he will have to compete with Luke McCown who has shown flashes he could be good & the Buc's #1 pick to start. His odds don't look good. If he fails to win the Starters job, he will be stuck on the bench of a rebuilding team rather than a team that just won the Super Bowl. I think JP would be better off in the UFL where he can develop & be seen by NFL Scouts than on some teams bench.
The UFL will be to the NFL as Minor leagues are to Baseball & Hockey. Young guys can go there & develop & vets can go there for rehab. All of the players in the UFL will be in Football Shape during the NFL Season & will be eligible to be signed to NFL Teams during the Football Season. This is the reason the games will be played in the fall, & also the reason for so few games.
I very much wanted the Bills to keep Peters, however after hearing him say "11 & 1/2 Sacks really? SO WHAT, I'M ONLY HUMAN" He wanted to be paid as the best, but with that attitude, I say GOOD RIDDANCE.
I don't really know about Oher other than what I have read. What I read about him did not excite me. I am not in favor of trading up in general & am glad the Bills drafted 2 highly rated Guards rather than an average Tackle.
I am still WAITING for Trent to prove he is better than JP. In 06 JP put up 19 TD's & had 2 THREE HUNDRED Yard Games. Trent has MUCH BETTER weapons this year than JP did..........................................NO EXCUSES he NEEDS to at least match those 19 TD's this year, or he is a BUST.
I know this much about him, The Bucs HC was the DC on the team he played for & fell in love with him. Gruden also loved him & the Bucs would have probably drafted him even if Gruden were still the Coach. I voted Orakpo & Oher
I think we were all sad to see his time in Buffalo come to an end. GOOD LUCK to him. If he ever plays in Buffalo again, I think he will get a warm reception.
