  1. If the Colts thought very highly of him they would have done there best to keep June. He signed a very reasonable contract with the Bucs, that even the Bills could have competed with, not to mention how many other teams with plenty of money to spend. The fact is he was not thought of that highly around the league by the people in position to make such judgments.
  2. My brother & sister inlaw live in Indy. Between us visiting them & they us, I watched a # of Colt games with my brother inlaw. In my opinion I think Keith Ellison is a far better LB than June. Stats can be very misleading, just as Fletcher had many tackles, many were made after the RB picked up 7 to 16 yards, June was the same way, many tackles due to his speed catching a guy from behind after he made a huge gain. Check the stats and see how many tackles Fletcher & June made for no gain or a loss of yards.
  3. That is the point with June they are saying he is just over 200 lbs, makes him smaller than Wire or Ellison. That is why he goes to safety ( The Bucs have a need there ) They say he may play some lb on passing downs because of his speed, but he doesn't have the size to be an every down LB and handle the run.
  4. He could sit out the first six games, it would not suprise me,as he said he is used to living on little money(ha ha ha).
  5. The ironic thing is, I heard this morning on the local Bucs Radio (WDAE), the Bucs are going to play June at free safety. WLB is Brooks, and June is too small to play SLB, or MLB
  6. Jim Brown was the greatest of all time, no one else is even a close 2nd
  7. That was a terrible insult to Greg Bell
  8. I would take Irons over Bush in the 2nd.
  9. Mike Stratton belongs in the top ten in my opinion. The only thing Dick Butkus has on Stratton is better publicity as many more people saw him play than Mike. The hit Stratton put on Keith Lincoln of the Chargers in the AFL championship game was probably the greatest hit of all time.
  10. I think All Bills Fans would love to see this C'mon Marv make it happen, if anyone can reason with Ralrh it's Marve. Thanks to everyone for there well wishes.
  11. I think Thurman could outplay Priest at this point.
  12. I was a young boy when Cookie ran wild for the Bills. He is still my all time favorate Bills running back. I know first hand what he is going through as I have throat cancer myself. (I never smoked or chewed) I have responded to treatment so well my chance of survival went from 56% to 86%. I still have six weeks of radation & chemo treatment to go ( at least it is the off season ) I just hope Cookie is doing as well.
  13. There will be plenty of player movement after training camps open. People are so impatient.
  14. Who in the NFL observes the letter of the law, name me one team
  15. Who is to say how good Nate or London will play in 07? They are both a year older, and have signed fat contracts. We will see how motivated they are next year. Many people posting on this board assume they will be better than there replacements, not me. I also think it is a safe bet the Bills will have better production at runningback & QB behind a vastly improved O-line.
  16. Mularkey Quit as head coach of the Bills to go to Miami, because he felt it was in his best interest for his future
  17. Yhe only way I would trade Spikes would be for Briggs ( we would have to throw in a draft choice or two).
  18. Pro Football Weekly had Whitner rated as the highest safety. (They projected Huff at CB). They had him rated as a first round pick.
  19. I did not want Nate to go either, as most here feel. He did not want to be here though, and look at the$$ he signed for just crazy. Here is a name for you, Brian Kelly of the Bucs. He is not Nate but close, and it lookes like he can be had.
  20. Thanks that was funny!
  21. Ding Ding Ding We have a winner
  22. I also want Spikes, I would take Ellison over June anyday myself. My wifes sister & husband live in Indy (nice little city), I watched some Colt games with my brother-inlaw when we visited them up there, and here when they visited us. (our wives think he and I get along too well, & it's a good thing we don't live closer, or he and I would be trouble together) The games I watched him, June was run over time & time again.
  23. Last year they cut Milloy, Adams, Vincent, those were bigger holes to fill which they did. ( unfortunatly McCargo was injured). They wanted to upgrade and replace both Fletcher and McGahee, they could have kept them both if they so desired. The only player they had no chance at keeping was Nate. It will be interesting to see how he playes this year now that he has the $$$.
  24. What year was he named to the probowl?
  25. I don't understand the love for Peterson, with his running style & injury history. If a defensive stud is there I would not mind if we stay put, or if Marv feels Willis is the way to go at 12 much like Whitner last year, I would be fine with that. Otherwise I would love to see them trade down - for good to great value. ( A very Pats like move)
