If the Bills didn't take Whittner, Miami would have grabbed him right behind the Bills. Instead they took Jason Allen to play safety who SUCKS. Whittner has also outplayed the safety drafted before him by Oakland. McCargo shows signs of being a solid player who the Bills would not have gotten if they didn't move up to get him.

The team nobody mentioned is the Bengals. Henry -GONE Johnson - HOPES TO BE GONE. That leaves TJ Whosyourmama

The Bills don't need a QB? They have Edwards who has proven he can get injured EVEY YEAR, nothing else. They have Losman (so far) only signed for 1 more year. Last and least they have Hamden. If Matt Ryan were there when the Bills pick, they should absolutely draft him. He will probably be gone, so I would not be surprised to see the Bills pick a QB anywhere from round 2 to 5.

I have never seen him play, but have heard he can CATCH the ball.

Chris Landry was asked about Owen Schmitt yesterday on WDAE (Tampa), He said he would be a great player, but would probably not go before the 4th round due to supply & demand. Not that many teams use a fullback anymore.

If the Bills can trade down, I wouldn't mind a WR in the 1st, @ 11 I hope they go defense. This draft is supposed to be deep in WR talent, but no WR is supposed to be spectacular. A D-line or CB @ 11 makes much more sense. The draft is supposed to have many QUALITY CB's so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bills pick one @ 11. They could get a WR in the 2nd (Maybe even Kelly) with as much talent as one they would have got @ 11.

The point is they weren't being smug at the meetings as you said. They called out Walsh to the press trying to spin things in their favor through the press, knowing full well Walsh will say or show NOTHING UNLESS & UNTIL the Pats* give him legal assurance they won't go after him.

This is the MAJOR stumbling block the Eagles will have trying to unload Lito. The Eagles want the same compensation Atl got for Hall & Lito wants to be paid like Hall. Problem is Lito is not as good as Hall, if he was, the Eagles would have had no need to pay all that money to Samuel.

I don't know about Trent, but I'll tell you who has HUGE hands....... Kellen Winslow Jr. He was on NFL Network the other day, & they were throwing him the ball in the parking lot. He caught every ball thrown to him........... with ONE HAND, RIGHT & LEFT HANDED. AMAZING, He looked like an adult catching a baseball barehanded that a child would throw.

A touch and release was not a penalty before. Refs could call A) No penalty - touch & release B) 5 Yards - grabbed face mask but did not twist, let go C) 15 Yards- grabbed & held on.

Not me, I have seen TOO MANY face masks called for only 5 yards when they should have been 15 yards. I think that is why they changed that rule.

Glad your not the Bills GM. Schobel is well respected by his peers who voted him to the pro bowl. I think he will have a great year in 08.

That article just relates Belicheat has MANY WAYS to CHEAT not just stealing hand signals via video. The Pats probably voted for audio in defensive helmets now because they have perfected a method of intercepting the audio signal.

It's not like the Bills are on the verge of being a Super Bowl team in 08. That is all 1year rent a players are good for, helping a team get to the big show. The rookie they get will be better next year with the experience he gets this year.

You are right, & I will. The point of this thread was to refute previous declarations by JP HATERS that JP would be a cancer on the team next year. It has devolved into YET ANOTHER JP vs Trent argument. I for one am done with it. How about you? Let's wait until next year & see what happens. I agree with you, that is why I said in a previous post IT WAS A TEAM LOSS. JP's losses were also team losses, Why can't you HATERS agree to that FACT?
