  1. Yeah JP is very Lamonica like, it's too bad the Bills can't keep him as a back up after this year.
  2. If Cincy holds on to him they can FINE HIM HEAVY if he doesn't report, they have ALL the leverage. If he doesn't report by week 10, it adds another year onto the time he owes Cinci. McCardell tried holding out on the Bucs, they eventually traded him to the Chargers, but he had to repay the Bucs a LOT of $$$.
  3. The Bucs were his last NFL team. He looked good in preseason, but couldn't keep his nose clean, so they cut him.
  4. I agree unless he keeps his nose out of the offense. Tony Dungy was told when hired by the Colts, he would have NO SAY about the offense.
  5. Not unless JP is traded this weekend.
  6. JP lost 1 game to a team with a losing record, while Holcomb lost 2 games to teams with losing records. It is easy to SPIN things the way you WANT them to appear. The point is, as I said before a win or loss is about the entire team, including the coaching staff, as well as the opponent, not one player.
  7. Good post, it is about economics 101. Trent will be CHEAPER than JP for a few years. He may be WORSE, lets hope not, but we won't know until the 08 season is over, one way or the other. I would like to see the Bills draft a QB in case Trent can't stay healthy or just sucks. There are supposed to be at least 6 NFL starting quality QB's in this years draft.
  8. How is it Cherry Picking to compare the teams played against?
  9. I asked you to NAME TEAMS, you haven't done that. How about the Pats* game JP was injured the first series, do you have that as a loss for JP or Trent?
  10. You are Cherry Picking again. NAME THE 5 teams (& their record)Holcomb beat & the 7 teams (& record) Losman lost to, then we can have a better comparison.
  11. He threw what like 4 passes his rookie year. Had he been with a stable organization his rookie year, the mental aspect would have some merit. I have heard NFL players say every coach is different, and they want things done their way, so what one coach teaches you goes out the window with the next regime. This has been in my opinion JP's biggest problem. It was known when he was drafted he would NEED DEVELOPMENT. His bad luck was to be drafted by an organization that has had NOTHING BUT INEPT COACHING since Marv retired.
  12. The reason for that is the O-Line had longer to play together & become a cohesive UNIT than while JP was playing.
  13. As long as you looked that up why not name the nine teams (& their record) the Bills beat. The post showing his record of 10-21 IMPLIED it was all about JP, I'm not the only one who thought so. I apologize for calling you an idiot, but come on, when you make an argument don't cherry pick, ignoring obvious facts, like a win or loss is on the team, including the coaching staff not just one player.
  14. He has played THREE YEARS in the NFL. IT IS NOT TOO LATE IN HIS CAREER TO TALK ABOUT PROMISE! The fact he got yoyoed in and out of the lineup so much speaks more about the INEPT COACHING than it does JP. Next year when the same thing happens to Trent what will you have to say? This is truly the reason JP haters want him gone. They are afraid (rightly so) that the same thing will happen to Trent if there is a viable option on the bench.
  15. The team around him had NOTHING to do with that record. The reason the BILLS LOST THOSE GAMES was all because of JP. This post alone proves you are an IDIOT.
  16. STOP with the 4th year already. HE BROKE HIS LEG IN PRESEASON HIS ROOKIE YEAR! Ian Beckles, former OT for the Bucs & Eagles made a good point on his morning show on WDAE (Tampa) this morning. He said the reason rookies don't often make an impact is because they are not used to the NFL. It is totally different from the college game. He said what makes a player better is REPETITION. We all know JP did not get the repetition 4th year vet implies. Had he been drafted by a stable organization like the Giants for example his development would have been MUCH BETTER. JP had some bad games last year but also showed promise in others like the Bengals game. Given the right situation he may develop into a GOOD QB yet. NO ONE, NOT EVEN YOU, KNOWS HOW GOOD (OR BAD) HE WILL BE IN ANOTHER COUPLE YEARS.
  17. When Oakland went to trade Moss, his production had slipped while playing for them, but the biggest reason he went for a 4th is he held the CARDS at the table. No team would trade for him without a new contract & Oakland was prepared to cut him if they couldn't trade him. The Bengals don't really want to lose Johnson so he has no CARDS to play, other than being an A$$.
  18. Thoughts on the game after watching it again...... Trent looked good even though he didn't throw for a TD. The defense was AWESOME, McCargo & Williams had great games.
  19. I would disagree with you about Mayock. He was a DB in the NFL unlike the other two & knows the game & how to evaluate players. He also does a great job explaining why a player is good or sucks. I am so happy I have NFL Network so I can watch him & his cohorts on draft day instead of ESPN.
  20. I watch it for FREE. That is the problem, cable wants to charge extra for it. If DTV & DISH can show it for free I don't understand why Cable feels they should charge extra for it, other than the fact they are GREEDY.
  21. I don't think we need to know anymore than we already do for the Pats* asterisk to stay firmly affixed forever.
  22. I am in agreement with you there also. I hope the Bills draft a Lineman or LB in the 1st.
  23. I totally agree with you Bill about Trent. The only caveat I have about Trent is his arm strength/ hand size, & his ability to STAY healthy. Those are also qualities that can't be taught. I also agree with you about posters insulting Trent's sister, they have also insulted Brady Quinns girlfriend & others, this is very Willis McGahee like.
  24. I KNOW ALL BILLS FANS will LOVE it if Trent plays well & leads the Bills to WINS. JP supporters also know JP is not an accomplished QB YET. The question is how well will Trent play next year, and can he stay healthy? I think the front office & coaching staff are asking themselves that, and that is the reason JP is still on the team.
