I could see Tampa trading Clayton straight up for Sheppard, but not with a #2 pick.

Pewter report.com (they have GOOD info on the Bucs) has reported they have not been able to confirm Fox reports that Sheppard is in Tampa through their own sources.

Perhaps they are offering him in a trade, that doesn't mean they want to GIVE him away. JP has more VALUE as a 1 year backup than a 4th round pick.

I would keep him unless the Bills were offered a 2nd or a 3rd this year & a 3rd next year like they got for Willis.

He would be MUCH BETTER than any DE we could get after the 1st round. He not only has experience, but experience in the Defense the Bills play. He probably would want a contract comparable to Kelseys, I would be fine with that. The Bills could then use their #1 on another position, either O-line, LB, CB, or trade down, rather than drafting Harvey.

If the Bills make a trade for him I would think it would be for 3-4 years.

I am a Bucs fan as well as a Bills fan, so I have seen him play. He isn't Bruce, but would be an upgrade to EVERYONE the Bills have except Schobel. If the Bills could get him for a 3rd I would be very happy.

It has been reported Sheppard wants Hall type money. Hall got more guaranteed money than Clements did. I do not see the Bills doing this deal.

The problem with a trade for Lito as I said is the contract. He wants more than he is worth, kind of like Clements. Unless something is going on not being reported, it would be tough to try & get a contract agreed to before the draft. I think it would be crazy for a team to make that trade, absent an agreement in place before the draft. The Eagles are on the hook for a lot of $$ if they keep Shepard, that is why they may cut him if they can't trade him.

I have a great idea for punishment for the Pats*. How about they have to surrender one player from their team to each of the teams in their division, of said teams choice & continue to pay that player for the duration of his contract.

I think Hall is overrated & Sheppard may be as good as him, but he is not GREAT, & gets INJURED. That is the reason Philly signed Samuel. There have been reports Philly will CUT him if they can't find a trade partner.
