Apparently the person who started this thread as well as most of Trent's aficionados did not know. NONE OF YOU WANT TO ADDRESS THE FACT TRENT HAS BEEN INJURY PRONE SINCE HIGH SCHOOL.
Kordell could have had a great maybe HOF career had he accepted he was suited for the SLASH roll. Instead because of his ego he rejected the very thing that made him a great player.
You didn't address Trent's health issues. Trent needs to show MUCH IMPROVEMENT, that's a given. He also needs to show he can stay healthy over the course of a season or better yet two seasons. There have been a number of QB's over the years who would have had very good careers had they been able to stay healthy & on the field.
The JP thing seems to be personal with the haters. Why can't you just let it go? The Bills have decided to KEEP JP around & have good reason for doing so. NOBODY KNOWS if Trent will develop in 08 or not. He may be the next Jim Miller- a good QB that can't stay healthy. Why don't you put your personal feelings of HATE aside & quit trying to second guess the teams decision to keep JP. He will be a Bill in 08, you will just have to accept that fact.
Trent did not WIN the starting job - It was given to him so Ralph wouln't have to pay JP his bonus. He also PLAYED more games. I can see how much the weather affected opposing QB's- THEY WON
Bruce Allen Bucs GM & son of George Allen was on WDAE this afternoon. Questioned about all the QB's the Bucs have, he said we view the QB position as the most important in football. he said the Bucs thought they were all set at QB 2 years ago then INJURIES happened. Chris Landrey was also on & said a QB will be worth much more in a trade after some injuries happen around the league.
I also have little faith in Jauron, but if he is fired, you can bet the Bills had a horrendous season, & will be back to ground 0 albeit with more talent than when Jauron arrived.
I just don't get it. Why is JP ALWAYS referred to as a 4year vet when he broke his leg in PRESEASON his ROOKIE YEAR & Trent is "a kid with 9 starts" because he missed the 1st series of the game? It is not like he only played 1 or 2 series HE PLAYED THE ENTIRE GAME EXCEPT FOR 3 offensive plays. To me he should be the 1st thing on the list, not the last. In my opinion the Bills season is in his hands more than anyone else's. If he is 1/2 as good as you think he is the Bills should make the playoffs. GO BILLS
Their new stadium is a DOME, it's not like they will have to get used to the wind. They will have home field advantage. Much more than the Bills will have in Toronto.
I think it is crazy to pay the kind of $$ SF paid Clements. I think the Front Office needs to anticipate that better & bring in the replacement earlier TRADING the player in question, & getting something in return.
