I should have said "a decent O-Line though not great" rather than "if not great". The line played better the last half of the year with Trent as QB.......................BECAUSE THEY HAD A CHANCE TO PLAY TOGETHER & JELL. If you knew ANYTHING about football you would know that is the case. It takes TIME for an O-LINE to get used to each other & run like a well oiled machine. JP played most of his games before that happened & that's the fact. And by the way stats are for LOSERS.

I agree with you, except if Peters plays, at least Trent will have a decent if not great O-Line in front of him.

Neither you nor I nor anyone else, know what type of QB JP could be in the right surroundings. NO QB would look good playing behind the O-Lines JP has had in front of him. Yes he has been sacked.........BECAUSE THE LINE COULD NOT BLOCK. Yes he has had trouble finding secondary receivers..........because he hardly had enough time to find his primary receivers.......BECAUSE THE LINE COULD NOT BLOCK. I disagree with you about his accuracy. Last year in the Bengals game, when he had the time, he was very accurate. I think that game reflects the type of QB JP could be in the right circumstances.

Boller has been jerked around but not near as much as JP. He played under the SAME coaching staff his entire career until this year, that should make a huge difference in a QB's development. I think JP would have had the chance to develop had he been drafted by the Ravens with this same coaches & system to develop in for 4 years.I don't think Boler was a 1st round pick either. Harrington had 4 years in Detroit to prove himself. He was not jerked around like JP. Leftwitch fell out of favor but was never jerked around in JVille.

I am all for leaving Trent in for the entire season, unless he shows his physical limitations will prevent him from ever becoming a quality #1 QB in the NFL. You can't learn your way out of a physical limitation.

Why don't you JUST STOP. I have NEVER heard JP make ANY EXCUSES for himself. Please explain to me exactly what the Bills did to protect JP for most of his starts. NAME ME other 1st round QB's who have had less opportunities to reclaim a starter job than JP. NAME me JUST ONE 1st round pick who has been jerked around as much as JP. My opinion on Edwards is unless his physical limitations prove to be too obvious, I will give him the same 31 games you all gave JP. At least most if not all his games will be for the same coaching staff, & on a MUCH better team than JP had.

You didn't miss much. The show SUCKED.......worst highlight film I have ever seen. Also the film was not shown in HD on ESPN.

You all know I have been a JP supporter, however if the Bills staff feel Chadwicks arm is fully healed & he can throw the ball, I would fully support the signing of Chad & trade of JP.

What was irresponsible on the Packers part is telling Brett he can not start for the Pack! The $12 million question is will the Packers be willing to pay that to Brett to sit on the bench & be a cancer in the locker room. If not Brett will get his wish & release.

I think Brett wanted to come back & play for Green Bay. They surprised him by saying they would only take him back as a back up QB to Rodgers. The Packers should have welcomed him back with open arms. The pack was a game away from the Super Bowl last year. If I was the GM I would ask myself, who would most likely take me to the Super Bowl in 08 Brett or Aaron? Instead the Pack has told Brett to piss off, that is why he wants to go to another team. Of course Brett wants to go to a team he thinks has a chance to win it all, why would he want to go to a loser?

You can pick up a Magnavox DVD recorder @ Wal Mart for $100. If you are home while the game is on you can just pause the recorder during commercials & record @ 2.5 hour mode. You will get a MUCH BETTER recording this way.

Favre has the right to VETO any trade. He is trying to force the Packers to release him so he can go to a team of his choice - the Vikings. The Packers have said Favre will not start in Green Bay, they have two options left, pay $12 Million for Favre to back up Rodgers or grant him his release.

Favre has thought about retiring because he felt the Packers were not serious about fielding a winning team..........kind of like the Bills. The Pack drafted Rodgers because they felt he was a good value at the spot they picked him & Favre was over 30 years old. When Favre decided to come back, IF the Packers were serious about winning they should have welcomed him back with open arms.

Stats can be made to support any position you want to take. Are a low # of offensive snaps due to the D being unable to get off the field or the offenses inability to stay on it (3&out)?

Ian Beckles former OT for Tampa & Philly has said EVERY time he had a new coach, that coach wanted him to use a different technique than he was previously taught. Sometimes completely opposite of what he was previously taught. This is the problem with your 4 year mantra. It would be like year 1 you study Chinese, year 2 you study French, year 3 you study German. Year 4 you are EXPECTED to be fluent in Arabic because you studied a foreign language for the 3 previous years. JP has had NUMEROUS coaching changes & different offenses to learn in his 4 years, aside from the fact he played on CRAPPY teams that has been his major problem. I just heard someone on TV say that was Alex Smiths problem in SF. Jeff Garcia has said it took him 2/3 of the season to fully understand Tampa's offense last year, & he is a very experienced QB who played in basicly the same type of offense most of his NFL career.

Sounds like you will be in the forefront of the Ditch Edwards crowd soon.
