  1. This Bills team is reminding me of the Lions team of a few years ago that started 7-0 & then fell apart. Look at the Lions, they never approached 7 straight wins again, & they still SUCK. Look at Miami after being the WORST team in the NFL last year, they are now better than Buffalo. Now look at the Bills, they are a lot closer to Detroit than Miami. The blame has to be laid on the front office.
  2. If you think a petition with even 500,000 names on it would have any effect you are delusional.
  3. A bad game? You must not have been paying attention. The Bills have gone from 5-1 to 5-4. Personally, I am battling cancer, so excuse me if I don't have your patience with Trent & the Bills.
  4. People that think coaching & the front office are not that important just have to look at the Fins. Last year that team looked TOTALLY inept. It looked like it would take a LONG TIME to turn that team around, WOW what a difference a year makes. The Fins not only have turned the corner, they are a really fun team to watch. Meanwhile the Bills look like they have been on a treadmill since Kelly retired & God I HATE this defense.
  5. OK I get it, JP played on a GREAT team & all those losses were his fault & had nothing to do with the rest of the team, while Trent plays on a much worse team & is absolved of all wrong.......MORON.
  6. Yep this is where we are at SADLY. Trent has shown NO MORE than JP, & I don't want to hear it's only his 2nd year. People were calling for J.P.'s head his 2nd year & he hardly played at all his 1st year.
  7. Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling for J.P. to play, that said however, Trent is playing EVERY bit as BAD as J.P. was his 2nd year when you all called for Holcolmb to start over him. I don't think Trent is the answer anymore than J.P. He looks like he could be a good BACKUP, but the Bills need to find a #1 QB.
  8. Everyone on this board knows I have been one of JP's biggest supporters. There is NO WAY JP should play unless Trent is injured. Trent needs to play for better or worse so the Bills know what they have in this guy.
  9. Let this be a lesson to you........ Never say never.
  10. With the parity in the NFL most games are decided on a handful of plays. Coulda.....Woulda....Shoulda
  11. While San Diego, Indianapolis, & Jacksonville are not having good years, they have not endured 10 years of MISERY as we have with the Bills, so I don't think they have it worse than us. Aside from that I think all three expect to bounce back, if not this year, then by next year.
  12. That would be true if the stadium was filled with Bills fans, but it won't be. There are MANY Miami fans in Canada, they vacation in Fla & have adopted the Fins as their team. I think this is the reason the Miami game is the game Toronto got. I think the crowd will be about 50% Bills fans, so this will be like a game at a neutral location.
  13. I think it might be to the Bills advantage to play in the Dome. Trent has shown he can play well in a Dome, not so much in weather.
  14. "45.8% of a lot is still better than 75.0 of a little" does sound logical. I would like to know however, exactly how many points Detroit scored vs points scored by Buffalo. The problem with running a ball control offense like Dick likes to run is if you don't score TD's you don't leave yourself enough time to score at the end of the game if you need to. The more time a team takes off the clock per possession the less possessions they will have per game.
  15. K.C. played a great 1st half against the Bucs last Sunday. They were putting pressure on the QB & making plays all over the field. After going up 21-3, they got conservative on both offense & defense. That is what cost them the game.
  16. As I said, scoring 3 points at a time will not win you games. What is the Bills success rate for scoring TD's in the Red Zone? I don't know, but I would bet it is pretty low, & most likely below the league average.
  17. You obviously subscribe to the Dick Juaron school of thought on offense. Here is a clue for you & Dick: It takes POINTS to win in this league, & 3 points at a time doesn't cut it.
  18. I didn't see anything calling for JP to start. I saw people call Trent out for his POOR play the last 2 games (rightly so). The Bills just lost TWO DIVISION games in a row. Games most people thought we should have won. I remember one thread that proclaimed the Bills were going to kill the Fins, score like 50 points on them. After a great start, if the Bills don't win Sunday, they may not make the playoffs. Hell, they may not even finish ahead of the Fins. Just my opinion, but I think a lot of people feel this way.
  19. The safety was breaking on the ball & would have intercepted even if Parrish didn't fall. The talking heads on TV said as much at the time of the play. I agree it was a team loss but without that pick the Bills most likely would have won, so this loss is on Trent (IMO).
  20. JP is history as far as the Bills are concerned, so I agree no point in comparing the two, that was one of my points. I agree Trent has shown promise & I hope he continues to develop. (It is amazing to watch Cassels development this year)
  21. I agree with you. In K.C. today, the Chiefs pulled out all the stops. The Bucs turned over the ball & were behind 21-3 before I finished my 1st beer. The Chiefs were really putting it to the Bucs the entire 1st half. The Bucs came out in the 2nd half, and slowly got back into the game, tying in the last seconds, & winning in OT. (I feel sorry for Chiefs fans- reminded me of the Dallas game last year.)
  22. For the last year I & other intelligent posters have been trying to tell people like you that the Bills had a number of problems. JP's play was affected by a NUMBER of things, & the Bills lost for numerous reasons. Now that Trent is behind center it is finally obvious to you. The funny thing is that in your eyes, while JP was TOTALLY responsible for the losses Trent has no responsibility in them.
  23. Yes, learn to read. I said People. You were only one of MANY that brought up JP & not the first. The point is JP should not be used as an EXCUSE for Trent's play. YES the Bills could have won both games, but ultimately the Bills lost the last two games LARGELY because of Trent's play. The point of this thread I think is to get the Trent lovers to acknowledge his POOR play the last two weeks. Thus far, very few of you are willing to do so. Neither I or any other poster called for JP to start over Trent. The Bills will & should swim or sink with Trent as QB, in my opinion. 8 games to go the Bills NEED to win 5 of those, GO BILLS!
  24. I agree with you about the O-line. One has to wonder at this point, if it is the COACHING with McNally retiring this year. This thread however is about Trent's play the last TWO games. It is obvious to everyone but the Trent Hypocrites that he was largely responsable for these two losses.
