Yet another player from the University of Texas that fizzles when he gets to the NFL. Big Mike, Cedric Benson, Vince Young (all top 5 picks)
Lam Jones

Thanks for the link. Truly great calls. I never heard the Roscoe one 'cause I was at the game. Good stuff Gus!
Bang!

Terrible clock mamagement. Obviously the no-huddle is a foreign concept. Quarterback doing the Kelly Holcomb checkdown on every play didn't help. How many times did they punt after a completed pass?
-
I love the kid's agility which can't be taught. A year in the program to work on his strength and he can start at left tackle in the NFL. Maybe another reason not to renegotiate Peters.
-
Bruce Hall was great, definitely better than Wright.
I think Omon makes it, Wright gets cut, and Hall on the P.S.
-
Wright has fumbled in three straight games. That costs him a job. Omon makes the squad. Kid has good balance, not afraid to hit someboby.

Well...To be honest, those stats may peak my interest. But I do understand what you're saying. I think you summed it best by saying we may not be sold on Edwards, but we know JP is not the answer....
Nice post...
Absolutely agree. J.P. had his opportunity. Although I think he was hampered by the worst offensive coordinator in bills history, he was not able to execute the bills offense. He holds the ball for too long, can't make decisive reads. As Flutie said, playing qb is about making decisions. Losman can't do it. Edwards can. You saw it against the steelers. The ball was coming out fast...
Heres to babe avatars- the more the merrier.

This is like, the best thread ever.

They made too big a deal when they signed him. Bobby April could take a lump of clay and make a good special teamer.
-
I heard he broke the guys nose. I don't think I want him on our team. Mr. hitandrun is enough.
-
I completely agree as well. I get more hype for a big time college rivalry game than I do the Super Bowl. I'd rather watch Auburn vs. Alabama, Notre Dame vs. USC, Florida vs. Tennessee, Texas vs. Texas A&M, Georgia vs. Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech vs. Virginia, and I could just continue on. These kids are playing for their school, all it stands for past and present, and that big crystal football. They actually care about their team and who they represent, not just themselves.
Auburn-Alabama? You're not really a Bills fan right? I would rather watch a Bills preseason game than Auburn-Alabama. Sorry, this site is for Bills fans. You should leave immediately.
Auburn- Alabama! Sheesh.

Plus he is a high character high motor (white guy).....blue collar fan favorite?
Brings his lunchpail to practice every day. Never takes a play off.

I agree- EvansI have given this a lot of thought, and at this moment I believe Lee Evans is the most irreplaceable player on this team. If there was one person that we could not lose right now for an entire season, is Evans. Now, I am big on strong offensive line play. I don't even necessarily believe we have to re-sign Evans in the offseason. But in terms of what we're going to do this season, I think it would absolutely crush us to lose him.
If Kirk Chambers had to replace Jason Peters, that would be terrible. However, I feel like even a below average left tackle to replace him would allow us to occasionally do something.
If Lee Evans went down, we would be stuck with a guy that can't get off the line of scrimmage (Parrish), a mediocre possession receiver (Reed), and a rookie wide receiver (Hardy). Our offense would not be able to run the ball with defenses constantly putting 8 men in the box, and our passing game would be even less effective than last year.
I don't expect Evans to put up big numbers this year. Maybe only 70 catches. But his threat - I believe - is the most important part of this team right now. Next year I might say Peters after a year of seasoning for Hardy. But not right now.

Charisma and poise= Hamdan

What about Hamdan? The whole world wants to know.
-
I so wish I was you today, instead of being stuck in an office.
-
I just want to say that in these troubled times for Bills fans, when we are left wondering and questioning the character and moral fiber of this team, a beacon of justice, integrity, charisma, poise and most importantly chroise has been here all along, waiting for us to turn to him in our moment of darkness...
...that man's name is Gibran Hamdan.
Hamdan FACTS:
- You'll never find him pointing his gun at relatives...WHY? because his relatives all adore him for the CHROISE he emits.
- You'll never see him on Chippewa at 3:30 am sneaking in booze into a bar...WHY? Because CHROISE always gets comped.
- You'll never see him driving drunk...WHY? Because it takes a fully stocked bar, two cases of valium, and three shotguns full of elephant tranquilizer to give CHROISE a buzz.
- You'll never see him involved in a hit-and-run...WHY? Because people would never step in front of his car, they would feel the CHROISE and stop and stare just to get a look inside. If in the rare event a mere mortal wishes to envelope the CHROISE so badly he/she/Canadian would jump in the path of his moving vehicle, Hamdan would simply step out of his car and the mortal would be healed via CHROISE.
Vote HAMDAN in '08....you'll be better because of it. FEEL THE CHROISE.

I don't mind Willis' antics. I'm a Ray Rice guy anyway. I want to see what he can do.
-
james Hardy and Ellis. Our pass rush needs a serious upgrade from the end spot if we are to be a playoff team. PLAYOFFS!
-
I would say that both of our current returners are the best in the history of the club which has quite frankly not been dotted with too many playmakers.
-
Did he ever play quarterback for the bills? I seem to remember that one year (68?) when everybody got hurt and we finished the season with Rutkowski at QB.

Articles about new ice cream flavors , cheerleader rallies, and place kickers. These really are the dog days of summer. Never thought I'd say this but I miss the OTA's!

I hope the finals are on ESPN 8, the "OCHO". Back to you Cotton.
