    And Trent saying how they showed us defenses we hadn't practiced against. While I unserstand that we don't have a quarterback. Why in 4 yrs haven't we been able to put together a running game together or a defense that can stop the run?

    I'm guessing that the cagey Dick Jauron doesn't want to expose Trent to the horrible boos that will reign down on him when he checks down on 3rd and 10 for 4 yds. Now it won't happen until the Tampa game. Or maybe he just wanted to give us a shot at a win.

    Before we start getting all warm and fuzzy on Michael Vick, try to remember t hat his co-conspirators said he hung dogs by the neck from trees and electrocuted them with jumper cables attached to car batteries. While I believe in second chances, as a dog owner, I find those images hard to get over.

    I agree. Although I hte the guy, he pl;ayed very well agsainst the Steelers. He is playing better than Mitchell. Probably keep Harris on the bench for a while. Buggs has earned the back-up job at middle LB and will challenge for a starting job next year when Cowher puts in the 3-4.

    I honestly thought that Trent was going to step up tonight. He must be aware of the checkdown criticism. I expected him to hit some downfield throws. The fact he didn't means he can't. I hate for a preseason to cost a player his job, but he needs to be benched. He is just totally f*&kin incompetent. I picked my name as a chroisey joke. Now it's actually getting serious.

    He tries a field goal with 3 minutes left in a game they are being shut out. The coach is an embarassment. What kind of message does this send to the players? Guys, if we can just avoid the shutout... I guess herm Edwards was wrong. "You play to not be shut out".
