I have maintained for the last 3-4 seasons that the offseason is much better than the season- NO LOSING. Plus every little move can be viewed positively. Having said that, I am fired up about Pettine.

When I first read in the Star Ledger that Pettine didn't want to resign, my first thought was "get him". I believe this to be an excellent hire and we are already a better team than this year.

This kid Andrew Jackson sounds like the kind of player that the Steelers seem to come up with every year.

When I look at him, I see a quarterback with weird footwork and average arm strength. As a prospect, definitely a cut below Wilson or Glennon, who I don't love either.

I was one of the few that think he did a good job as off. coordinator. By the end of the season (under Fewell) the Bills had a great running game.

I believe that Herm Edwards went from coaching defensive backs to being the Jet head coach. So he has actually never been a defensive coordinator. He is a hoot on ESPN however.

I believe that anyone who thinks that Russ Brandon ever had any say on football matters prior to the last few weeks is sorely mistaken. What,do you think, Marv Levy turned to Nix on draft day and asked his opinion on who to draft? Do you think Buddy Nix asked him how he felt about Chan Gailey? These guys ran the football side and he ran the business. Now with Ralph at 94, Russ has had enough of the losing and is asserting himself which is absolutely nescessary as Ralph has run the football end into the ground. We'll see how much control Ralph has given him if Nix is fired.

Brandon is a big improvement over Ralph.

Anyone else get the feeling that Russ is in charge of the team at the moment? If Nix gets fired, it'll be because Russ wanted it.

I only saw Tyler Wilson once this year, against Rutgers. He did not look like a first-rounder.

I had to run some errands for my wife at halftime which took longer than I expected. When I walked in my wife said "don't bother watching. Houston scored again (a pick six). I sat down on the couch and said in jest, "no I'm gonna keep watching because to be a Bills fan is to NEVER GIVE UP".

As a historical perspective, around 1980, Giant fans (who sell out there stadium annually) hired a plane to buzz the stadium with a sign saying "20 years of lousy football-enough". Wellington Mara got the message and hired George Young who hired Bill Parcells and the rest as they say, is history. I believe we need something visual along those lines to wake up our owner from his afternoon nap.

I don't know who is planning on attending this sunday. I guess bad weather could keep the 'crowd' around 30,000. But I believe some sort of protest is in order. Perhaps wearing bags over your head is the way to go?

Good well written article that needed to be said. I thought it was a joke when he got elecyed to the hall. Ralph has mostly crapped on the fans, especially in the last 13 years. Also by driving Polian and A>J. Smith out of town.
