  1. My expectations were to resign two of the 4-5 quality players we had drafted in the last 5 years, Byrd and Levitre. Of course my expectations were not met.
  2. I have had similar thoughts about this year's draft. Will guys outside the South get a fair look from the Bills? There are some good football players in the North too. Even a quarterback or two.
  3. If Geno Smith is not there, I would not hesitate to take Jones. We desperately need a great athlete at linebacker.
  4. Kind of pissed off about what is happening with Levitre. I thought this one was a no-brainer. On a team with no really expensive o. linemen, couldn't we afford to spend some coin on a great run-blocking guard who has been the only guy to stay healthy all the time? You give McKelvin 5 a year who has lost his starting job 2-3 times but the money isn't there to sign Levitre? He should have been the no.1 priority this off-season. Looks to me like business as usual at 1 Bills Drive. Wake up Russ! You're in charge now!!
  5. Arguably the best safety in Bills history.
  6. My understanding is he is guaranteed close to $10,000,000 whether he stays or goes, so there is no incentive whatsoever to take a pay cut. I believe that if Geno Smith falls to us, Fitz will be released. The bonus date is immaterial as he is owed that money anyway.
  7. Cordarelle Patterson has one year of major college football in which he caught 46 passes. He is a risky boom or bust pick. On a team with no linebackers or QB, I can't take him.
  8. I've always liked this guy. But I would bring in some young competition for him. Maybe a free agent.
  9. It's hard to win in the NFL. Nix restructured the scouting department last off-season. Let's see if it helps.
  10. Geno Smith is the ONLY QB in this draft I would take at #8. If he's there, grab him.
  11. Just for your information: In my paper today, the Star Ledger (New Jersey), the Jets beat-writer mentioned that three teams have expressed 'some' interest in Bart Scott: The Chiefs, the Bills and the Ravens. Would think the Ravens would have an edge there as they are the defending champs. His value to us would mostly lie in his knowledge of the system.
  12. My focus is on the 40 time of Manti T'eo since there are questions about his speed. Also, whether Khaseem Greene and Alex Ogletree who are both skinny at about 230 lbs. have put on any weight and kept their quickness. I guess I'm focused on the LB position as the Bills should be in the first 2 rounds.
  13. If the Bills don't take a QB in the first three rounds, I will have to consider whether Mike Pettine is really enough of a reason to watch this year.
  14. Unfortunately, the club is handcuffed this year by the guaranteed money given to Fitz. But I agree with you; cut him and move on. The numbers don't matter. Fitz is a loser. Start fresh with someone (anyone) else.
  15. Stevie is funny but Kate is dope, yo!
  16. First I've heard about Barnett failing a physical. Anybody else hear this?
  17. Funny. I was thinking the same thing the other day. Red just seems more natural now.
  18. Interested in reading Buddy Nix's thoughts about the teams draft needs on BB.com. He talks about how important it is these days to have linebackers who can cover. That's nice. But when you are 32nd in the league in run defense, you need linebackers who can: 1. Play the run. 2.Play the run. 3. Play the run. Playing the pass is nice. The Bills need run-stuffers Buddy.
  19. Mr. Weo wins the post of the day award.
  20. Thanks for the post. I guess Wilson would be the only one I would have an interest in keeping since I don't believe Searcy is a viable replacement. Did anyone look at their mock draft that followed? With Geno Smith available who I would take in a minute, they had us taking a defensive end I never heard of. Sheesh.
  21. I don't even want him as a back-up. I hope I have seen the end of Ryan Fitzpatrick in a Bills uniform. The guy is a flat out loser. What is the point of keeping a guy who can't win?
  22. I also believe that was Bill Callahan on the grassy knoll... And he was holding John Wilkes Booth's horse outside the theater.
