Marrone has to reign in Hackett and this constant no-huddle crap. It should be done in spots. Not all the time.

Hackett looks like a college OC in way ver his head in the pros. He keeps calling the same three running plays even when they are not working. He called 10 straight first down runs to open the game and the run wasn't working! He didn't give Manuel a chance in the first half, consistently putting the Bills in third and long. Right now he is just not a good offensive coordinator. And EJ seriously regressed today. His deep ball accuracy is a major concern. He cannot even keep the ball inbounds.

The most underrated player currently on the Bills roster is Alan Tipoti who will beat out Torell Troupe to be the backup nose tackle.

Watching his highlights (for about the 4th time), you do see that his footwork is screwed up on certain throws, which has been an emphasis in this rookie camp. What I also see and felt since the first time I saw this package is that we took the best athlete in the draft. Whether that translates to success is up to him, Marrone and Hackett. But if Bayless and Stephan A. had watched him, they might not have had that stupid-ass conversation. Tons of potential to be a good one.

I believe we picked two starters on defense in the draft; Duke and Kiko. I like that they are both big hitters. They are fast and versatile. Should have fun with Pettine's schemes.

Right now, Kolb is the unquestioned starter. That could of course change next week. It would be nice if Buddy would get a veteran for him to throw to.

I'd kick his tires.

Can he play inside linebacker?

If they don't start addressing guard, wide receiver and linebacker in free agency, they will win about three games this year. Can't believe Marrone is down with what's going on.

Incompetence? I can't believe Manny Lawson is the only player they liked from hundreds of free agents available.

"Bring in?" What's that ? Free agents? What are those? Oh and they saved 7 million in cap room by cutting Fitz by deferring that money to next year. They are currently about 22 million under the cap.

I think Eric Smith makes a lot more sense. Also knows the D. Wish they'd do something.

To answer the OP, I believe the Bills will look to trade up and grab Geno Smith, which would get a lot of people excited.

While I started a sarcastic thread the other day and I am just as antsy to sign players, I am trying to believe that patience is the way to go. I can't help noticing that really good players are being released every day. I believe that the teams that have cap money will, within the next week, be rewarded for their patience and the Bills may be able to scoop up several good players at more reasonable rates. With so many holes to fill, including guard now, it may be best to spread our 15 million or so around to 3-5 players. I believe they still need to address guard, linebacker and wide receiver in free agency.

A Manny Lawson led defense. A Tavaris Jackson led offense. Running behind Corwin Brown. I'm excited! Let's Go!
