I believe Petty should be considered in the second round. Roman could put in an offense to take advantage of his skill set, which includes real accuracy.

IMHO there is no full-time running back currently on the Bills roster. Freddy has lost a step and the next tackle Spiller breaks will be his first. The others are role players. I believe the Bills MUST take a running back in the second or third round. A player who might be there at fifty with the devaluation at the running back position, who I like is Ameer Abdullah of Nebraska. Only 5'8" but a solid 200 lbs. with good vision and speed. This is the only position I would pass on a QB for.

I believe the only thing missing is a run stuffing MLB which Brown is not and Spikes wasn't either. For that reason, David Harris would be a good addition.

Not sure we used zone blocking that much as that typically involves stretch plays off tacle. All our running seemed to be between the guards. We sadly lacked creativity in the run game.

Very little chance of doing better than Hughes at the other def. end spot. Also, Ithink Robey had a GREAT season at slot corner. Of course it's Rex so another corner will be added. Other than Hughes, the free agent money must be spent on offense: namely QB. One player largely forgotten this year is Manny Lawson who would fit perfectly in a 3-4.

No one has mentioned that any defenders around for 2 years will be familiar with the defense since it is probably the same as Pettine's.

Schwartz is going to leave and Thurman will take over. Ryan will not stand in his way if he doesn't want to be here.
