  1. Ok, I understand the Bills have more seats in their stadium, approx. 4x as much, but the ticket sales are misleading. So 8 bills games times 4 is equivalent to 32 sabres games. the sabres still have 10 games more than that at home, which is 18,690 times 10, which is around 186,000 tickets more of an advantage just because of more games. After subtracting, it appears the sabres have sold approximately 40,000 more seats than the bills this year if you wanted to equal the number of games. If the bills would have sold out 2 more games this year they would have been even on attendance. I must say, I gotta love the support for the sabres, but all the credit goes out to all the bandwagon sabres fans this year. They won't make a profit this year still, but I give alot of credit to the fans (bandwagon or diehard) for showing their support. If the sabres have a bad season in the future, just watch the drastic decrease in season tickets, that doesn't happen with the bills. We have increased season ticket holders and we haven't made the playoffs since 1999. but of course I understand that the games do not sell out when the bills suck because the remaining seats are not bought.
  2. She's a joke. As my senator she has done nothing. I hope she doesn't make it out of the primary for all of our sake. I think it will be Obama and probably Mitt Romney coming out of the primaries. You could make the argument for Rudi, but he is a pro-choice conservative, although a very good leader. Of course, Romney is Moorman, but he is still a man of faith even though that might not go over well with the deep southern states. And McCain, well he is a decent candidate but I don't see him beating out Romney for some reason. Just my 2 cents.
  3. I agree on the point about the terrible ratings for the all star game, that is just pathetic. To some extent the NHL is more exciting, but only to Northeastern and Candian cities, and the successful teams this year in the NHL. The Bruins had nobody there last night it was pathetic. Here's a good point to back this up: Carolina had tickets left for game 7 of the eastern conference finals that were bought by Sabres fans, which is amazing support for us, but that is truly sad that those tickets were not sold out the day they came on sale. Even though the NHL just had a very good attendance record this January, the NFL has almost flawless attendance. This of course with the exception of the Bills. I agree that the new rules changes in the NHL make for a very exciting game, but that forbes link is a good indicator that the NHL can't even draw a decent viewing for the Stanley Cup. I love the Sabres and the Bills equaly but the NFL is just more successful let's face it. I really don't think there is a dropoff in excitement or talent over the past decade either, but that's just my opinion. I would have to say that the NBA on the other hand is just a complete joke.
  4. thank you for your excellent opinion sir. I was actually referring to DeLuca 1967 who believes hockey blows the NFL out of the water in this country.
  5. oh yeah I forgot to mention the Stanley Cup is not even in the top 10 here
  6. This one goes out to the hockey crazies who think the NHL is more successful than the NFL. As much as I love hockey and the Sabres, Buffalo will always be a football town. Nationwide, hockey does not have near the influence as football. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2749584
