i would also lean towards starting Warner this week for all the reasons mentioned above -- his problems you mentioned wouldn't worry me. the plus for Rivers is that they are at home. sit White. Revis. enough said. start Garcon as a strong play against a weak Jags pass D, but not because Wayne might be limited because there is no proof that will be the case. Owens looks good to me this week as teams have been shredding the Pats pass D lately, if Fitzy can get him the ball, that is....

do you think he would have left his undefeated team if it had any shot at winning a national championship? a playoff system would've prevented an early departure, the BCS makes every other bowl game irrelevant. if he had a chance to win the national championship this year he would have stayed; since he has no chance this year, he went to a team that whose national spotlight gives him at least a fighting chance every year.

Coles is the guy. slow to gel with Palmer, but he has picked it up the last few weeks. one of Palmer's options is gone for the year (Chris Henry), Benson is hurt, and its not known what Benson's 2 backups (B. Scott & L. Johnson) have in them. Palmer will be throwing the ball more often and Coles will stand to be a big beneficiary.

Theory on why Jauron was fired this week
nichebiche replied to fairfaxbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
my theory is simply that they allowed Jauron the bye week to see if he could turn things around. clearly, he didn't. -
this is the same guy you were going to trade with before right? what about Warner & White/Colston for Rice and a lesser WR - maybe a Cotchery, Walter, Burleson or Housh type? and really, the way Warner has been playing lately, you could maybe get more.
-
so you'd start T.O. along with White the rest of this year? if you are out of the playofff hunt this year, i'd rather keep 2 RB's than 2 WR's so i'd make the trade. but if you still have even a shot to make the playoffs, where are you gonna get a 2nd WR from?
-
i think you gotta shop them all and trade the guy who gives you the most value in return. when i go about making trades, i usually send an email or make a call to teams who might need a WR in your case and would have a RB to spare. ask if they are interested in any of your guys. make offers with some explanation of what you might be willing to do. know any Broncos fans? see if they want Marshall. the point is, there is no one guy you should trade -- it is the guy another team wants the most in relation to what you are giving up.

personally, i would probably do a deal for Rice, Brown or Turner with Cassell as a toss in. that would give you 2 potential keepers at RB, 2 at WR and 1 at QB. i would rather have 2 RB for keepers as opposed to 2 WR since WR are usually more abundant, but at least you would have enough talent to make a decision with. of course the trade would help you this year as well by getting a more every down RB.
-
well, how many players do you get to keep each year? either way, i'd probably counter with Cassell & Rice for Warner. Warner has little value in a keeper league, so you should try to maximize your return now while you've got the chance.

he is not a good linebacker, merely a good pass-rushing LB in a 3-4 system. he cannot play the run whatsoever. cut by the Niners because of this. cut by the Pats because of this - a team thin on talent at LB as well. he was a Super Bowl hero, that's it.

lucky for me, lineups don't have to be set on Thursday....

A Few Thoughts About The Game
nichebiche replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Carolina traded their 2010 1st rounder to SF (who picked one choice after the Bills took Byrd) in order to move up in the 2nd round to get Brown. it's thought that Buffalo could have made that same trade and still would have had the opportunity to take Byrd in the 3rd. -
he is not a good linebacker, just a Super Bowl hero. he can rush the passer as a 3-4 LB, but he has no other LB skills. we have Maybin for that role.
-
pretty sure they have made a button on the remote control that can fix that problem.

i'm starting Hasselbeck over Schaub this week.

i'd have a tough time benching Rivers, but here's the argument for Warner. Seattle is gonna score alotta points against Arizona. to keep Arizona in the game, Warner is gonna have to throw alot, because we all know they can't run the ball. Seattle's DEF isn't so great that they are gonna shut down Arizona's passing game -- last week was a little fluky against the Jags. Warner will put up 300 yds and 3 TD's, so do you think Rivers will do at least that well?
-
probably a bunch of former season ticket holders not renewing their seats so i can upgrade my view.
-
well, they are playing each other, what team do you think will do best? who will win the game? what will the score be? if you can answer those questions yourself, you will have your answer.
-
you do need help at WR with Holt playing very old, Robinson on IR, Bowe hurt and Clayton inconsistent. your depth at RB needs help as well with Freddy and Brown in timeshares. if i were you, i'd comb the waiver wire and pick up 3 guys -- drop Bills D, a K, and Robinson for a combination of 3 Rb's/WR's. improve your depth. but don't trade Williams for a WR, even Calvin Johnson. you've got 2 studs at RB and when Bowe is healthy 2 very good WR. i can see Donald Brown becoming more involved, so he could become valuable. if/when some of those FA pickups play well, then you will have leverage so you can begin to package some guys for a top WR.

Which loss was worse...the bills or bengals?
nichebiche replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is actually a trick question. the answer is they were equally bad. all losses are bad. -
Some Thoughts About Tonights Game.
nichebiche replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i agree with pretty much everything you said, except about the tackling. i saw very few if any missed tackles. secondary was very solid all night with making sure tackles on the over the middle stuff. very little room to run for the RB's with little second effort yardage gained. -
Its sad when you EXPECT to lose these games...
nichebiche replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
man, a lot of people are really upset about the Bills losing a game they were supposed to lose, by a lot less points than predicted. -
Wasn't Schobel supposed to suck....
nichebiche replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i disagree with your view of Maybin. he certainly doesn't have much else if not the speed rush, but his speed rush was awfully close to nabbing Brady a few times and forced some poor throws. -

pretty sure that INT for a TD mattered a little. -
optimism = losers. pessimism = winners.
