Homers of the world unite! Someone's questioning team decision making again! Here's another way to look at it. If you're the owner and seeing that another UFA the team gave money to can't stay healthy (Kroft) or is flat out not getting it done (Star) how would you approach the GM and HC? Think you'd wonder if their personnel acumen is an issue? You bet you would when the checks come out of your account. The Bills are going to have an issue when teams start shading coverage over the John Brown. They needed Kroft to step up and he can't go. Sweeney and Knox are nice stories, but combined they've got 4 catches for 54 yards in 2 games. This team desperately needs a TE who can stay somewhat healthy and isn't hurt in practice.

You know what would be even better? Not signing people with an established injury history with 1 decent season under their belts. Unless you're a massive homer, Buffalo's record with free agents has been either hit (Hyde, Poyer) or outright misses (Star, Vontae, McCarron, Kroft). Pro Personnel and offensive player evaluations have been average at best and it's something that has to improve if they're going to contend for a playoff spot.

Bills least valuable NFL franchise per Forbes
BillsVet replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will be interesting to see valuations after the next round of TV contracts are finalized with various media. Teams are receiving north of 250M per season as their share of the current contracts. -
Buffalo has traded up or into the 2nd round for 3 offensive players who are either struggling or incapable of playing their drafted position. Amid the 2-0 start, that has to be stated because offense is where this team struggles most. Jones, Dawkins, and now Ford are not strong contributors, but on draft day Buffalo traded up to take them. There's a serious problem at OBD in assessing offensive talent. They seem to do better on offense with their UFA signings.

Daniel Jones - new starting QB for the Giants

When I start beating my chest about predictions, yeah, then it's time to quit. I don't see you doing any mea culpas when you're wrong though. Sad. -

Are you going to brag about yourself in every thread? Who cares? You get one or two right and you've had a thousand wrong. -
Off-season Questions Answered
BillsVet replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The season is a marathon, not a 400m race and we're going to continue learning what the team is made of. Early returns show some positive signs, namely Allen's play and the in-game defensive adjustments they make (which is something few DC's ever did going back more than a decade). There are some nagging concerns, particularly the OT situation, depth at WR, and getting away from Gore as lead back. -
Pats can keep their rings; I'll take the Bills

Ordinarily, I would let this pass coming from someone as uneducated about Catholicism as you. And, I would answer this in PPP, but you went ahead and initiated this here. If you're going to mischaracterize the entire Catholic priesthood I would caution you. Form whatever opinion you want, but I am Catholic and I've personally known dozens of outstanding Catholic priests. I've seen them in the hospital rooms with the sick and dying. I've seen them at Catholic funerals comforting families. I've seen them at weddings joining newly married couples. I've seen them on Sundays with homilies that make you check who you are. I've been there with them receiving help during particularly difficult times I experienced. I've seen them in school teaching religion and latin. And I've seen them in so many other places. You make it sound as though all are predators in waiting and that's simply not true. The greatest men I know are Catholic priests. I'm not the biggest McD fan, but being a Christian is not a problem and he's definitely not out proselytizing on the sidelines or behind the scenes. -
Buffalo Bills fan confidence drops despite Week 1 win
BillsVet replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clearly the poll did not include some TBD'ers openly mocking fans after the game Sunday. Sounds like something McD would say after being asked about his vision for the offense. Efail, still the least funniest poster on TBD. Never changes. -
Zay Jones blocking ability - I’m impressed
BillsVet replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zay was in on 29 offensive snaps out of 69 and targeted 5 times. It'll be interesting to see how he is used throughout the season and how that is affected if Foster's toe improves. Will he remain a downfield blocker with a few targets or featured more in the passing game? I'd refrain from using the word "Bipolar" if you're not clear what it means. -
Tony Gonzalez turned down trade to the Bills?

I'm shocked...shocked that Russ Brandon couldn't get the thing done. Ah well, he couldn't get DJ fired after that season so it stands to reason. -

Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS
BillsVet replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thing with Ryan Leaf was, he couldn't cut it in the NFL. Antonio Brown is a HOF caliber WR that's 31 and has played now 9 seasons. The question is, why does he work so hard his entire career and arrive at this point if this is true? Why does he force his way out of Pittsburgh and then do the same in Oakland? Why does he sign that contract? Something is not right there. And I refuse to use the word "crazy" because it denotes something people don't truly understand. He just needs help. -

The behavior he's demonstrated seems like some sort of personality disorder. -

That kind of behavior requires some professional help.
