It's because there are some entry/exits that do not have them. I thought it was strange they would not place them at the entry/exits that already have booths, which meant there was already power/communication there, instead of building them on the highways between exits, which meant they had to get power and communication run out there. Maybe it was just easier to build them elsewhere, since toll booth areas might cover 3-5 lanes, where the gantry only needs to cover 2 lanes.

In my 30+ years of having an EZ-Pass, I have never received an automated speeding ticket from their system, though it would be easy enough to implement.

When I had a card replaced because it expired, all my revolving accounts that use that number, were still able to charge it, before I could change the info to the new expiration date. Even my Apple Wallet automatically updated to the new card, even before I received it in the mail.

I've heard of people getting the Visa/MC pre-paid gift cards and using those for payment. Never tried it myself.

I keep both the Uber and Lyft apps on my phone. Lyft I've found is typically a bit cheaper, but cheaper does not mean as good/better. My experience is Lyft drivers have older vehicles and questionable drivers. For example, arriving at my home airport, I check Uber pricing after we landed, but before getting off the plane, and for a ride home (about a 15 minute drive since it was after 11pm at night, but three flights all come arrive in a 15-20 time span) was going to be over $70. Lyft was about $30. Checking again at baggage claim, Uber was now over $80, Lyft had only gone up to $35, so I booked Lyft. My driver, I don't remember what his vehicle was, but I get in and it smelled like pot, and the whole trip to my house, he's on speaker phone with some friend of his, constantly saying "n-word this", "F that", etc. But hey, I saved $50.

I had a flight years ago and overheard the FAs talking to each other while I was boarding that there was only one empty seat that flight. I knew from watching the seat map (on the Delta app) that the one next to me had been shown as empty. Lucky me, that was the empty seat that flight.
