Is this the movie that Mario Lopez is filming in Buffalo?

Saw this interview with him, and based on how he describes the plot, it could be a Hallmark/Christmas movie, but maybe not the one related to the Bills. He does more Great American Family and Lifetime movies than Hallmark according to my wife.

Josh signed a deal with Skydance so gotta think he's going to be making an appearance in the movie unless the movie is about his and Hailey's relationship...

Well, he is from a small town, son of a farming family, and she is the big city beautiful actress. It's the traditional Hallmark plot.

    Going today.

Currently sit section 333 halfway up.

Nervous how much the PSL’s will be.  Heard 5k per seat….  Can’t believe that to be true.

$2500/seat for upper deck 50 yard line.  This is a pic from the FB group about the new stadium, using what has been reported from people that have already gone.

    I’ve heard 5 years 10% interest.

You also have 0% if you can pay it off prior to stadium opening. Unsure of what the cutoff date is to pay it off.

    Three options.

    1) Pay it off entirely

    2) Pay it off before Nov 2026 at 0% interest

    3) 10 year loan at 10% interest through M&T Bank.

If Jackson and Brittany Mahomes weren't enough of a reason this sure is the cherry on top.

That's the "good" thing about Taylor, I've heard a lot less about those two in the past year or so that she's been going to games.

The accomplishments of early humans are truly awe inspiring because the things they created or learned to do had never been done by anyone ever before.  Every step had to be created out of nothing.  Early humans learned to make tools not just use whatever tools they had at hand which numerous other animals could do.  They also learned to make fire and use it for lighting the darkness and then cooking food.  They developed complex languages based on ideas, not just the simple calls/grunts/whistles that other animals used as alarm or locating calls.  They developed visual and musical art.  They domesticated wolves and then herd animals like sheep, goats, cattle and eventually horses.  They learned how to grow food.   That's all before they became "civilized" enough to develop cities, astronomy, calendars, writing, religion, etc.

That always intrigued me. For instance, something as simple as bread. Who thought eons ago, let me take this plant, grind it into dust, combine it with other things, heat it up, and then see if it's good to eat.

Agreed.  Disgusting.  If someone can't have an open container on the street, then they shouldn't be blazing on the street.  It's gross, and sadly pervasive.

It's not unusual during the summer when I'm out mowing my lawn, that a car will drive by, and I'll smell it.

I can’t believe this is even a debate. Who else is seriously building stadiums without roofs anymore? In the last 15 years, maybe just San Fran is open?

I get that Buffalo might not ever host a SB. But can easily get a higher return with a closed stadium. Think of all the major NCAA events, which are now in similar medium-sized cities like Cleveland, Detroit, and Indy. I think Detroit is even hosting the final four in the next year or two!

    Let's check...

What is the oldest NFL stadium? Soldier to SoFi in age - ESPN

    San Fran - 2014 - open

    Minnesota - 2016 - enclosed

    Atlanta - 2017 - enclosed

    Las Vegas - 2020 - enclosed

    Los Angeles - 2020 - covered

If inflation is the culprit, why aren't the other stadiums that are under construction seeing the same overruns?

The Titans stadium, announced at around the same time as ours and also currently under construction, has a current cost overrun of about 5%.

The A's are also building a new stadium right, in expensive Vegas. Their cost-overruns are only 17%

It sure seems like our nearly 40% cost overrun is staggeringly high compared to others.

The Bills have been building their stadium almost a year before either of those stadiums started groundbreaking. Bills groundbreaking was in June 2023. Titans was Feb 2024. Oakland/Las Vegas has not had their groundbreaking yet. Once they all get completed, then you can compare cost over runs.

There is also legal battles happening with NIL in High School, as many stars allow it. The ramifications that high schools become professional paid athletes will change the entrance path for college athletes.

It's not uncommon around my area for the catholic high schools to recruit certain student athletes. And there's always rumors of parents renting apartments in certain school districts, so their child can go to a high school and get more playing time, than the one they were in before.

Can a 50 year old dude just go back to college and wrestle?  Truly I don't know lol. Basically for me this brings up questions I'm never knew I had.

Yes, as long as they have not used their eligibility. And they can go to different divisions to get more years. Division 1 years do not count if they were to drop down to a division 2 or 3 school.

Faulty landing gear appears to be the primary factor that caused a Delta Air Lines regional jet to flip over on the runway at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport last month. According to a preliminary report released by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada on Thursday, the jet was performing a routine landing when its right main landing gear collapsed after making contact with the runway.

Dome stadiums are the worst.  I have no idea why everyone loves them so much.

and the teams with domes never open the roofs like they say they will.

The first game of the Toronto series was a pre-season game against the Steelers. Driving in, you could see the roof was open before the game, because it was a great summer afternoon, sunny and warm.  At some point before the game started it was decided to close the roof.  Not sure why, because there was no weather issues, like rain, coming in.

  13. Former NFL Pro Bowler Marcellus Wiley accused of raping two women at Columbia University

    Quote

Former NFL Pro Bowler Marcellus Wiley is facing new allegations that he raped two women while attending Columbia University in the 1990s. The two accusers filed lawsuits last week claiming Wiley attacked them in separate incidents in his dorm room in 1994 when he was a star two-way player for the Columbia Lions, playing both running back and defensive end. Wiley, 50, had already faced assault allegations from other female students.

  14. I have not listened to any, but my wife is a fan of the TV show based ones, where an actor or two that were on a series, will talk about the show, episode by episode, giving behind the scenes type info, among other things.
