  1. A buddy of mine is an electrician and was working on a job site. There was one guy that was pissing off everyone. So one day when this guy was at lunch, they noticed his tool bucket. Someone went and grabbed this tool they got that "shoots" bolts into concrete, they emptied out the tools, and shot about 5 bolts through the bottom of his bucket into the floor. When he came back from lunch he went to pick up his bucket and couldn't. My buddy said it took him about an hour to free up his bucket once he figured out what they did.

  2. About 10 years ago I was working part time nights/weekends at a supermarket here in Syracuse for extra cash. Well, each night we would need to put the cardboard from the boxes into the compacter. What the problem would be is the recieving person would not keep a neat loading dock. More often, what was happening was the empty milk crates would be scattered in front of the compacter door. One here, two stack there, another one there, etc. So you would need to make a path through the crates. I asked the store manager if he'd ever said anything to him about cleaning up, and he had, but the guy continued to do this. One night I got fed up when I found about 20+ crates back there. Inspiration hit. I pushed all the crates over against one of the walls. Then started a stack and got it about 7 feet high. Each crate is about 1 foot high. I then started pulling over two crates near the stack I started, grab the very bottom crate, lift it just above the height of the two I'd stacked, then using one of my feet, I'd push the two under the stack, and lower the stack onto them. Once I got done, I had about 18 in the stack. The remainder I stacked next to the large stack.

I found out later that week that when the recieving guy saw it, he went straight to the store manager and asked him how he was going to get the stack down. The manager looked at it, and said "like this". He then went up to the stack, grabbed the 4th or 5th crate up from the floor, and ran. I really wish I could have seen that stack come down.

  3. How many of you in this thread have Sirius? I do, and let me tell you, there is no way I am going back to terrestial radio. You ask any subscriber, XM or Sirius, and they'll probably say the same thing.

If you want a comparison, ask yourself this, what if someone took away your Cable/DirecTV? Could you deal with only having 3-5 TV stations?

  4. I tried watching it for the first time last night, since nothing else was on.  It literally drags a story that could be told in a 2 hour show out into 24 hours.  Talk about way too much filler.  A suburban mother who asks her son to kill his friend?  Is this Extreme Desperate Housewives?  And that blonde chick on the computer who got arrested for helping Jack has a really disturbing looking face.  Ugh!  No thanks, I think I'll be reading next week.

You really needed to see the first 2 hours on Sunday to understand some of what was going on last night. I tried to watch the first season after missing probably the first 10 episodes. This is one show that you can't just start watching in the middle.

  5. Reward for Soldier's Camera?

It's a story that's got people fuming in Philadelphia, and it all stems from a Syracuse man's demand for cash. Michael Crook was at a Philadelphia Eagles’ football game, down in the City of Brotherly Love. At some point during the game, he found a digital camera, that belonged to Army Specialist Elwood Wrigley, a soldier from Philly.

Crook let a local television station there know he had found Wrigley’s camera at the stadium, and offered to return it...for a finder's fee of $1,000! Wrigley says he was originally worried less about the camera, and more about what was in it – digital photos of his army buddies in Afghanistan. As it turns out, the digital camera's memory card didn't have those pictures, but Wrigley says he still wants his camera back.
