So I'd be a little concerned mostly of the outlet end sitting out in the open (with the fountain plugged into it) with potential exposure to elements. But wouldn't it be the same with any electrician-placed line? Or the method cincy describes? The other end is plugged into a GFCI outlet in the garage, so there is some security there.
Can you provide a link showing the fountain?

Wasn't there a player that commuted from Toronto to Buffalo a couple years ago?

On the way home, there are two gas stations at the bottom of the hill by my house. One was $2.99, the other was $2.75. I immediatly filled up at the $2.75 station. There wasn't really a line yet, but there was always one or two people waiting while everyone else pumped (an 8 pump station).

What was the elevation of NO when it was first settled? My understanding that historically with the constant upkeep of the river that through the years it (NO) has been getting deeper and deeper away from sea level?
Some people are blaming the people for living there, being too close. The way the delta is "building" NO has been making the best of the situation.
The time has come to trash the city and build anew?
What a crappy situation to be in?
Kinda like your neighbors always building higher than you through the years... Who is gonna flood? In this case, your neighbor is the river!
I don't think they told us exact elevations, but I remember from elementary school (can't remember if it was covered under science or history) that sediment from the Mississippi flows down to NO and changes the land mass as it settles when it hits the Gulf.

Considering getting a 20' flag pole for my Bills flag from this company....
Anyone have one? Opinions? They're here in Syracuse at the New York State Fair and offering the 20' for $219 plus an additional flag free. (The US flag comes with the kit). This other company has them for $189 with free shipping, so we're going to offer $199 plus the additional flag during one of the last few days of the Fair. But I still want to know if anyone has experience with these types of poles.

Anyone see Oil Storm on FX a couple months ago? Very similar situation with a huge hurricane heading towards LA oil refineries.

One thing I've always seen in RWS that gets the Bills fans pissed, is when there is one or two opposing team fans sitting in a sea of Bills blue, that after every good play, need to stand and scream. They aren't yelling at any of the people around them, but it still gets under peoples skin. So after good plays, clap, say "yea!" and don't poke the people around you. And after a couple of bad plays, shake your head like "I can't believe my team did something so stupid". Plus as others have noted, joke around with the other fans around you, but keep away for the "your team sucks" comments. We had an enjoyable time at Cincy last year, because the fans around us were making fun of thier own team.

If Al Davis can be in the Hall, John Madden can be in it also. Unfortuatly, they'll probably ignore Ralph Wilson again this year.

BF wishes he was CL's son. There's no biological connection bewtween the two.
I've met both AD and BF, they are two completely different people.

This whole discussion just leads to the fact that it really doesnt matter where we buy our gas, but we buy too much of it as it is. I'm not sure what the numbers are but Americans are more dependant on oil than any other nation in the world by an astonishing amount!
I thought this site was amusing if not disturdbing at the same time. Most people on here probably hate the type of stuff on this site but the "Detroit Project" is an interesting premise.
I saw two different stations in the past few days doing stories on the cost of gas. In both, they asked SUV drivers what they thought. They all disliked the cost of gas, but said they were not giving up their SUV's.

Depends on where you're sitting.

I like the keys idea that shismspikes51 had in that thread. I can't see the Bills not allowing people to bring their keys into the stadium.

Can a Tivo be used on Time Warners standard cable, ie no digital channels, no movie channels, basically the channels I can get without using a cable box. My future father-in-law is giving us a Tivo with lifetime subscription and I'm wondering if I can use it without too much trouble.

What kind of data? The number of unwed mothers in the area that are still having more children?

They raise it in anticipation of having to pay a higher price for their next delivery. So it's a way of making sure they get the money now that they'll have to shell out later.
