Did the pre-sale here in Philly. I started hitting screen refresh at 9:59. Ended up with 17th row floor. Considering that the first 15 rows are VIP packages, not too bad.

Mitt???
Southern McButterpants. replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I voted for Bush twice as well. Considering his opposition (Gore and Kerry), I'd vote for him twice again in a heartbeat. Although i will freely admit that I voted for Clinton twice as well. . . . -
Mitt???
Southern McButterpants. replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I voted for Mitt and supported his campaign financially. I thought he was the right man with the right experience to jump-start the economy. I realize that a number of economic indicators (DJII, unemployment figures, my employer's finances) are tipping in Obama's favor, but I can honestly state that I'm not seeing the impact here on the ground. I still know a lot of people who are unemployed or under-employed. Mitt turned out to be correct on a number of issues on which the MSM vilified him (Russia, Obamacare). I would vote for him again . . . That said, get used to saying President Walker. It will only be an interesting race if the Dems can find a moderate to run. Hillary, Faux-cahontas, and the Socialist Bernie Sanders certainly won't win against and accomplished GOP candidate, such as MItt, Ryan or Walker. -

Ok time to start the off-season

And only because I can see that the talent level on the team is rising under Whaley, but this team is undisciplined (i.e., lots of penalties), and the offense is a joke. Biggest game in a decade and they can't figure out how to get Spiller in space, run the ball, or throw past the first down marker. All on coaching... Replace them with ME.. I could give a ****$torm to my QB who REFUSES to throw the ball more than 5 yards. It doesn't take a football genius to know what's wrong with this team... -
I'll preface this with: I am a total chili-head. The hotter, the better. If you want a treat at BWW, get the pulled pork sammie and then drench it in Blazin' sauce. Otherwise, bring on the suicidal wings anywhere I go . . . I've been eating really spicy foods as long as I can remember. No idea what was the first really spicy thing that i've had. Other than a few concoctions of my own, the only prepared food that I've been unable to complete were the Suicidal Wings at Mammoser's in Hamburg. They came out drenched in Dave's insanity sauce. I got through 4 before I threw in the towel. Otherwise, I've never had any that I couldn't finish, and I've tried a couple truly insane challenges where you can't have any liquids, or have to wait through a 5 minute burn afterwards, etc.

Truth . . . -
Can you tell me with a straight face that Bill Maher doesn't have an agenda? And truthfully, do you believe that a simple majority of folks subscribe to HBO because of his show, Newsroom, Girls, etc.? Or is it because they can get movies, the Sopranos (in the past, obs), Boar walk Empire, and others? I'm too ceap to subscribe to a premium network, bt if i did, I'd likely go with Starz simply based on content I've seen from free previews. Agreed. As i said, i don't work in Hollywood, so i cannot obtain information through osmosis. I believe that he has an agenda; you don't. Agree to disagree.

welp, so much for Chris Christie eh?

But, but, but B-Man. You can listen to Rush Limbaugh. He's proof that there's no liberal bias in the media. -
I've never met Aaron Sorkin, but everything I've read about him paints him as an ideologue trying to get a "message" across through his work . . . Goldberg's work has nothing to do with Hollywood, and I never claimed that it does. My point is that the two arms of media (reporting and entertainment) are in lockstep. I don't work in Hollywood, but I and many others are convinced that there is an agenda. To state that it "just doesn't happen" i think is a bit pollyanna . . .

I take it that you haven't met Aaron Sorkin yet? Read "Bias" by Bernard Goldberg. In his opinion (and I agree with it), it is a conscious and systematic effort by those in charge at leading liberal media outlets (the so-called Main Stream Media) to consistently paint Democrats and liberal ideals as positive. Simultaneously, Republicans are painted as evil and/or stupid; and conservative principals are positioned in a negative light.
