  1. I've had a gut feeling since Bledsoe came into the league that the perpetual blank expression on his face was a mirror to his soul. My gut is usually right, also.
  2. Drew had one last test. The Pittsburgh game. He flunked it badly; embarressed Ralph, TD, and MM. So it's ADM to Drew!
  3. Used to dream of Carly Simon a lot...but not Corey.
  4. She said, and I quote, "It's about time - he can't hang with the big boys. He just stands there looking confused until he gets clobbered." Best summation of Drew's game yet.
  5. All the controversy swirling around him and not a peep. Even checked the Oregonian archives and nothing since early January. Must be checking his options. I predict retirement or Dallas in that order.
  6. Dallas would be it and only them because of Parcells' ego. TD bought a white elephant a few years ago and he compounded his mistake by throwing good money after bad last season.
  7. Check out The Maltese Falcon with Bogart . Pay attention to the script...it's perfect.
  8. Your forgetting something about Brady in your comparison...Brady can read a defense and that makes all the difference in successful QBing. Drew mindlessly throws to a space, regardless of the coverage.
  9. Yeah, the doubts are so severe that they're asking Drew for a giveback. Should I turn on the sarcasm button? Who's your source...the waterboy?
  10. I'd rather have you find an ultrasonic device you could could tune to your neighbors skull. With any luck, you could get his brain to explode.
  11. Actually, what I think Sullivan meant to say was that the chances of going to a SB are low unless you have a QB who is playing in a top-flight MANNER. A mid-flight performer is NOT going to get the job done. DB shows no signs of ever performing like a top QB unless it's against poor competition. Therefore, try the OTHER guy. We don't know what level JP will be able to perform. Sadly, we know the answer with Drew. The Bills will move on, IMO.
  12. I'll give you some speculation in spades. Ralph jumped off the Bledsoe wagon after the Pitt game. TD polls the coaches on whether they care if DB comes or goes. They say not as a starter. TD, at Ralph's behest, sets in motion a plan to reduce Drew's cost to the team. It is: lowball him at 2 million; spend no more than 3 $M/yr. If he negotiates, fine. If not, the JP era begins in March.
  13. \ Interesting point. His public voyage to oblivion occurred 12 1/2 years ago with his retirement. His public life ended long before his own life. The obits mention he had bypass surgery in '99, gave two or three interviews, and nothing else since '92.
  14. I don't have any any ill feelings towards Scott. I had absolutely no belief that he would make the kick. It rates as the all time pressure-you-must-produce-on-this-play failure in sports history. I blame Marv and his dopey DC for putting Scott in that predicament.
  15. Bilichick is on a higher level than EVERY other NFL coach. It took some hard knocks to get there but he made the leap. Yes, he'll lose both coordinators but it won't make much difference because he knows how to hire quality staff, something the majority of executives in any field do not accomplish. He far and away outshines his erstwhile mentor, Parcells.
  16. And Moulds is just wishing the Bills install a QB who will hit him in his hands instead of his backside as he sprints toward the endzone.
  17. Likewise I don't hate Drew, but I think you have to have blinders on to not see that Drew cannot handle pressure, be it blitzing LBs or winning games that matter against good teams. This is settled beyond any doubt and the Bills' braintrust is coming around to acknowledge the painfully obvious.
  18. TD probably GAVE it to Mort.
  19. I agree completely. The Pitt game showed that all of the nurse-maiding, all of the dumbing down of the offense, all of the lip service support for Drew could not overcome the fact that the Bills starting QB could not hit a wideout in stride anymore.
  20. if Mort ia on to anything, which I think is probable, Ralph and TD have come to their senses over Drew. I imagine the message to Drew is take a 3 to 4 million $ paycut or else. We won't pay more than 2 mil a year for a PROBABLE backup. We either keep a DB at 1/3 the cost or go elsewhere. I really don't know who elsewhere will be.
  21. I watched Henry from special open practice, through training camp, to the regular season. He was nothing but a disruptive cancer the whole time. The bills will be much better off without him.
  22. What's to fear from Mr. Travis Henry? Runs every play as it called and can't get out of his own way. A 2nd for this washed up bum? I'd be celebrating for 2 days.
  23. Actually, I remember Sagan's interpretation of the Drake equation yielded several thousand intelligent beings occupied planets in our galaxy alone. About 5 years ago, two scientists came out with a book (Rare Earth) which disputes the parameters of the standard Drake equation. Their conclusion was that while life might be fairly aboundant throughout the universe, INTELLIGENT life could be extremely rare...one intelligent race per galaxy per every 100,000 years or so. I recommend the book.
  24. Current theory believes that about 100 x Jupiter's mass would be required to form a proto-star. Brown dwarfs, which are many times more massive than the super Jupiters, are themselves regarded as 'failed' stars.
