If I am Ralph I am looking for a way to cave to Peters
AJ1 replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ralph will not reward bad conduct. You don't have to dig any deeper than that. Parker must really be stupid to not know that. -
With what? Hotdog wrappers?

What's P & P's message to the Bills? 'We want to more money.' Bills FO: 'How much?' P & P: 'A lot' That appears to be the extent of the communications, if that much. Negotiate by mind reading...seems to be the P & P tactic.

When is the last Day Peters can report
AJ1 replied to JasoninMT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I 'know' this is about 2 notches above Peter's abstract thinking ability, but it occurs to me that when this sad saga has run it's course and Jason has lost about 40 - 50 % of his current income, perhaps he should consider hiring another hotshot lawyer to go after Parker for his losses due to malfeasance in his handling of his client's interests. That would be the best of all possible outcomes. -
I am starting to believe we need to trade Peters

I have come to believe that there is unfortunately a good sized mental illness component to this holdout. -
When is the last Day Peters can report

What I'd like to know is can the Bills go after Peters entire bonus ( not just a part ) under the theory of a breach of contract. If a provision could be inserted in a player's contract where the bonus payment is provisional on a no holdout clause, I'd certainly try to write it from the team's side. Don't know if this would be contra the NFLPA. If not, I'd test it in court. -
Peters holdout lacks a cheering section
AJ1 replied to Mike32282's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm surprised Parker, at least, has caught on yet. Perhaps Ralph could explicitly say to Peters if you don't show you care anything about being a Bill then you won't get a pay increase, ever. Furthermore, we will play on the OL any street agent we can find before we pay you to come back to the team. Plain enough? -
Peters holdout lacks a cheering section

About to end, bigtime. I don't know if Parker is ill-informed or just the ultimate lawyer-agent parasitic slimebag. I believe a little of one and a whole lot of 2. -
Yes, can't let him go, but let him sit and stew until he comes to his senses.

If Peters doesn't show
AJ1 replied to Not the real Gale Gilbert's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He just waltzes in without any stigma attached? No damage to his reputation. His teammates are entirely forgiving. The brass pats him on the back even though his actions were a major disruption and his lack of loyalty, astounding. He doesn't look the biggest fool ever? He's rolled the dice looking for a Bills cave-in. He doesn't get it, all the other results are bad for him. -
If Peters doesn't show

Like Peters, and only Peters, could prevent a crushing blindside hit on Edwards. Give me a freaking break. -
Did anyone catch Mike & Mike this morning?
AJ1 replied to chetsap's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Case in point on Schopp and company. I was home on vacation for a couple of weeks and listened in a few days. Big topic for discusion was would Michael Phelps be a great player in pickup games in other sports. Schopp thought this was a valid use of 3 hours of airtime. -
I think Parker's out to set precedent but as smart as he thinks he is, he picked the wrong team to try out this new BS.

If Peters doesn't show
AJ1 replied to Not the real Gale Gilbert's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1: Parker may be suffering from hubris and overreaching in this case. Ever consider it? 2: Or he could effectively cost himself 10 - 60 % of his 2008 salary. 3: If the Bills aren't forthright in their public comments the other side can show them up, can they not? -
No practice/no play.

That too. And throw in a cheeseburger eating contest in his backyard. -

I have a question. Why have the print and broadcast media made no attempt to track down Jason Peters? Is he living in a mudhut in NW Arkansas or what? A camera crew can't go down and record his complaint? While there he can show everyone how many times he can benchpress 300 lbs and run 5.5 second 40's. How he is in dynamite shape, just raring to go. How come we haven't seen these things? -
Plus. someone should point out to Peters that Parker has other clients. Parker goes 12 for 14 with his clients he's a great success. He flops with Jason...no skin off of his nose. We'll get em next year. Meanwhile, Jason appears to be a complete ungrateful fool.

What part of you can pass a physical and still be damaged goods do you not understand? Like the diminished ability doesn't show til training camp or later. Passing a phyiscal is next thing to meaningless in this context.
-
The Bills ARE NOT going to start talks the second he reports and Jason can eat the fines as an object lesson to all for an extremely stupid job action.

I bet the kool aid drinkers and Losman haters...
AJ1 replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Attended camp last Wednesday. Running plays were 2 yards and a cloud of dust. Passing attack was better. JP was sharper than TE. Tons of standing around doing nothing. Players sauntering from practice position to practice position. Absolutely no hustle exhibited by anyone. Not a single audible cheer from the onlookers related to onfield happenings. What do I see in first pre-season? Same thing I saw in practice...essentially nothing. Team picks up where they finished last season. Bills need a head coaching change BADLY. -
.. You nailed KTD. What he he doesn't understand about logical fallacies could fill a book. Number one logic crime....stating his conclusions in his premises. His 'arguments' almost always turn out to be tautologies.

On second thought I am liking Peters strategy now
AJ1 replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bingo, my ass. 1) Jason can enjoy sitting on his hands for his holdout period. For his sake, he better doing something to keep in shape, or when he finally comes in one of his understudies might have his job by virture of being much better prepared. 2) It is 'impossible' to believe that the Bills don't know the dimensions of Peters' demands. That's not all that hard to believe given the incommunicado stance heretofore taken by Peters and agent. BTW, point one, as presented, does a good deal of destroying the logic of point 2. -
My choice isn't offered. It would be: Due to the hype thrown his way by the fans and the media, he has a super-inflated view of his true value. In how many probowls has he participated? I believe the total is zero.

It was stupid to start with. He comes in out of shape, no conception of the new playbook, and with uncertain health and he performs at a backslide level, good luck at getting a new contract. Could he have chosen a more counterproductive 'negotiating 'strategy? Doubtful.
