  5. If it's true that the Seawhawks offered a third rounder for him during the draft it was a very dumb move by Nix to pass it up.

  15. The NFL has the largest number of players of all the four major sports. It's not surprising they get more headlines. JMO http://www.cnn.com/2010/SPORT/06/13/vince....dex.html?hpt=T2 Young, 27, is accused of striking another man in the face, causing an injury to his lip, after the two got into an argument, an incident report by the Dallas Police Department said. The man did not require medical attention, according to the report. Police responded to the incident at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Club Onyx, described on its website as an upscale "urban gentlemen's club" and adult entertainment venue. The assault charge against Young is punishable upon conviction by a fine of up to $500, Dallas police spokesman Lt. Andy Harvey said. Young was issued the citation after detectives interviewed witnesses and reviewed video of the incident, Harvey said.
  16. Suite Judy Blue Eyes!
  17. He's lonely.
  18. In order to effectively fix a game a group would have to pay off almost every member of both teams. I think that would be an almost impossible task to accomplish. The could also bribe officials but I think it would need to be a whole team so they don't accidentally overturn a call. After about three bad games they'd be questioned and looked into by the NFL. JMO Also, don't underestimate a lot of players desire for a SB ring. Yes, agreed! NASCAR has what they call, IIRC, "The Frenchman". The Frenchman calls a team and says their car will not be closely inspected that week, which allows the team to cheat in many different ways. There is no way, IMO, that in this day and age of NASCAR that any team is going to go through inspection and not get caught. Every crew chief watches the car in front of them, their car and the car behind them go through inspection. Too many people would have to be in on it and with all of the major sponsors something like that wouldn't be viewed nicely by all of the corporations who lost.
  19. I fell asleep! I think it's much easier to fix a game in baseball, basketball and hockey because there are fewer officials and more judgment calls. The NFL also has the most liberal use of instant replay of any league. If an official is on the take it's gonna be much harder for them to influence a game. I doubt there are too many players who'd fix a game, because if there teammates found out they'd be dead men.
