Mounds and Almond Joy are the coconut bearing candy bars that are of the cheap checkout line variety of candy bars!!!!!!!! :censored: The difference is Almond Joy has nuts, Mounds don't, because sometimes you feel like a nut sometimes you don't!!! :wallbash:

Ill. Governor arrested on corruption charges
Steely Dan replied to stuckincincy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Once again, I hate to say this, Tom knows something about something. NYT article In a sequence of events that neatly captures the contradictions of Barack Obama’s rise through Illinois politics, a phone call he made three months ago to urge passage of a state ethics bill indirectly contributed to the downfall of a fellow Democrat he twice supported, Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich. Mr. Obama placed the call to his political mentor, Emil Jones Jr., president of the Illinois Senate. Mr. Jones was a critic of the legislation, which sought to curb the influence of money in politics, as was Mr. Blagojevich, who had vetoed it. But after the call from Mr. Obama, the Senate overrode the veto, prompting the governor to press state contractors for campaign contributions before the law’s restrictions could take effect on Jan. 1, prosecutors say. Tipped off to Mr. Blagojevich’s efforts, federal agents obtained wiretaps for his phones and eventually overheard what they say was scheming by the governor to profit from his appointment of a successor to the United States Senate seat being vacated by President-elect Obama. One official whose name has long been mentioned in Chicago political circles as a potential successor is Mr. Jones, a machine politician who was viewed as a roadblock to ethics reform but is friendly with Mr. Obama. Beyond the irony of its outcome, Mr. Obama’s unusual decision to inject himself into a statewide issue during the height of his presidential campaign was a reminder that despite his historic ascendancy to the White House, he has never quite escaped the murky and insular world of Illinois politics. It is a world he has long navigated, to the consternation of his critics, by engaging in a kind of realpolitik, Chicago-style, which allowed him to draw strength from his relationships with important players without becoming compromised by their many weaknesses. By the time Mr. Obama intervened on the ethics measure, his relationship with Mr. Blagojevich, always defined more by political proximity than by personal chemistry, had cooled as the governor became increasingly engulfed in legal troubles. There is nothing in the criminal complaint unsealed Tuesday to indicate that Mr. Obama knew anything about plans to seek money and favors in exchange for his Senate seat; he has never been implicated in any other “pay to play” cases that have emerged from the long-running investigation of the Blagojevich administration. -
If she posts here then yes. Don't wish to offend. If she's not reading this, then no.

I don't believe that matters at all.

BTW, you will need a statement from the installer because his defense is going to be that the installer fried it. Also whip him off an email about it. You can use his response in court. I don't pay long distance charges I'm in. Once again, I'm on board. To me it would be about principle. This guy is a sheister and needs to be given his just deserts. Court costs are paid by the loser.

But Al Gore said it was settled science....
Steely Dan replied to erynthered's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What does that have anything to do with anything in this thread? Couldn't find another place to post it where anyone would see it and wanted to get into a fight about it? Forgive me for be being compassionate. I apologize. I know how that irritates you conservatools. -

So, once again can you name anyone besides Al Gore who agrees with global warming? Get it now? Weasel words. They didn't hang it they made it to be hung. Navy and administration sources said that though the banner was the Navy's idea, the White House actually made it. -
This call his lawyer stuff is just a bluff. He's trying to scare you. He's full of crap if he thinks he can win. Take him to court. "As Is" without expressly stating in the ad that it doesn't work at all is fraud. A buyer has a right to believe that it will be in working order. Hiding a material fact is not overridden by "As is". Screw calling his lawyer take him to small claims court. My legal advice is courtesy of Peoples Court. The guy is banking on your not wanting to take him to court over $225.00 I'd do it just for the satisfaction. Also, report him to Craigslist. I hope you have a copy of the ad from Craigslist. I wonder if they'll be able to send you a copy if you don't and the ad is taken down already.

Your right. He never said it but he stood in front of a banner saying it and gave a speech. -

Maybe you could take thinking lessons here. The truth, but you'll probably just keep spouting the same lie because you think it makes him look stupid. I gave him a link to the facts above but I doubt he even reads it. Can you name anyone, other than Al Gore, who agrees with it? The Tobacco Institute, before it's dissolution in 1998, would tell you that scientists who link smoking to cancer are full of crap too. -
George: "If anything happens here can I count on you?" Jerry: "What?" George: "If we decide to go at it." Jerry:"Yeah, I want to get into a rumble." - George, still waiting for the phone, and Jerry, in "The Chinese Restaurant" Elaine: "Okay, I don't want to go over there and do it and then come back here and find out there was some little loophole, like I didn't put mustard on it." Jerry: "No, no tricks." Elaine: "Should I do it George?" George: "For fifty bucks? I'd put my face in their soup and blow!" Elaine: "Alright, alright. Here, hold this. I'm doin' it." - Elaine, Jerry and George, in "The Chinese Restaurant"

I'm Considering Moving From Firefox 2.0 To 3.0
Steely Dan replied to Steely Dan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It worked with 2.0 and only stopped working when I upgraded to 3.0. should I re-install? I'm almost positive it's not that kind of problem. I don't have the money for that now anyway. -
