  1. Maybe Santa gave her a heart attack, if ya know whatta mean!
  2. Excellent choices! A 1963 split window vette mostly for it's rarity. A 1970 Super Bird Hemi. 1968 Shelby KR500 1987 Buick Grand National The fastest car ever built by GM up to that time. I don't know if it still is but that thing was cool. They used to sell "I brake for Corvettes" bumper stickers for them.
  3. Awesome! Watching a three year old open gifts is the greatest thing in the world. It better have a compass in the stock and this thing which tells time or it's not official. You're wife can answer that for you. About 20 years ago (Oy I'm old.) Pentax and Ricoh lenses were interchangeable. I don't know if that's still true or if it really matters at all. She just walked up behind you did she? You got something!
  4. It had to be done because the people it's meant for really need it in caps.
  5. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who will never get it. They also don't understand that even if the Bills had all 32 picks in the first round a lot of them would be washouts.
  6. Have her open an empty box.
  7. How about patterning your life after Jesus. Find a Bible verse that quotes him screaming and demeaning others and I'll cut you some slack. I'll give you some help though. Don't bother looking it doesn't exist. He is called the Prince of Peace for a reason. Christian poser.
  8. It seems to me that you are far more guilty of hatred on this board than 99.9% of the posters here. Nice way to practice Christianity. I'm sure Jesus would be very happy with tone of your posts. Christian poser.
  9. How do you know it was one player in 20 years? I'm just pointing out a player I know she scouted and they drafted. I think it would be difficult to say who scouted a particular player that ended up getting drafted. How do you know she's inept? The reason I heard Polian was fired is because he loudly berated Ralph at one of Ralph's social parties and Ralph was so embarrassed he vowed to fire him but he decided to have him finish the season that year. There was also some talk about him not getting along with Littman but I don't know what the reason for that was. He has a temper. He once got down into a stance and asked an agent to show him how a swim move (I think) was done because the agent was criticizing the players teammates. He was fired up to actually go one on one with the agent. I think he worked on getting his temper under control, and succeeded. He left Carolina after 3 years and I don't know why they let him go because he was doing a great job with them. God bless that's a tough job, emotionally and physically.
  10. Fixed! I got a 1963 Studebaker Avanti!
  11. Link Kitt also acted in movies, playing the lead female role opposite Nat King Cole in "St. Louis Blues" in 1958 and more recently appearing in "Boomerang" and "Harriet the Spy" in the 1990s. On television, she was the sexy Catwoman on the popular "Batman" series in 1967-68, replacing Julie Newmar who originated the role. A guest appearance on an episode of "I Spy" brought Kitt an Emmy nomination in 1966. "Generally the whole entertainment business now is bland," she said in a 1996 Associated Press interview. "It depends so much on gadgetry and flash now. You don't have to have talent to be in the business today. "I think we had to have something to offer, if you wanted to be recognized as worth paying for."
  12. I'm the father and because of that the kid is sooooo ugly I made them put it back.
  13. December 25: General Interest 1914 : The Christmas Truce Just after midnight on Christmas morning, the majority of German troops engaged in World War I cease firing their guns and artillery and commence to sing Christmas carols. At certain points along the eastern and western fronts, the soldiers of Russia, France, and Britain even heard brass bands joining the Germans in their joyous singing. At the first light of dawn, many of the German soldiers emerged from their trenches and approached the Allied lines across no-man's-land, calling out "Merry Christmas" in their enemies' native tongues. At first, the Allied soldiers feared it was a trick, but seeing the Germans unarmed they climbed out of their trenches and shook hands with the enemy soldiers. The men exchanged presents of cigarettes and plum puddings and sang carols and songs. There was even a documented case of soldiers from opposing sides playing a good-natured game of soccer. The so-called Christmas Truce of 1914 came only five months after the outbreak of war in Europe and was one of the last examples of the outdated notion of chivalry between enemies in warfare. In 1915, the bloody conflict of World War I erupted in all its technological fury, and the concept of another Christmas Truce became unthinkable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are all just people on this planet. More alike than unalike. Too bad we have to kill each other in order to make a statement and gain control of other people. That goes for everyone on this planet.
  14. There's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
  15. The guys in the bat suits make Wiley E. Coyote go
  16. She's actually a good scout. She's the one that unearthed Jeff Wright. She knows her stuff.
  17. Refusing to fire the ST's coach was the dumbest thing any HC anywhere has ever done. It was like refusing to throw out a rotten dinner. The Flutie Johnson stuff wasn't much of his fault. I think he had a guy who was young and needed to get reps to find out how high his talent level went and then Flutie who was ripping the locker room apart. I think if Wade had his choice he would have cut one or the other. Exactly. Maybe someone was in the Christmas spirit.
  18. Look it's just a topic open for discussion. I am trying to look at this realistically. If your friend or family member really won I think most of us would be in the I don't know how I'd react category. As I said especially if you bought a ticket for yourself too and won nothing or very little. I think most people would be kicking themselves for giving away the wrong ticket. As for the brother in law and the $100 ticket I would have put it back in the card for him.
  19. After Marv Levy sang his fight song for the team Steve Tasker says that one of the guys in the locker room said "As a singer Marv is one hell of a football coach"
  20. Too true. JP's abilities on the field are up for debate but his work ethic is not, he is a very hard worker.
  21. Ba Dum Ptsh! (sound of crickets)
