Four Shot Dead At Buffalo Restaurant

Link Officials say they may have charged the wrong man Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III: 'We are having serious second thoughts' By Lou Michel, Jay Rey and Maki Becker News Staff Reporters Updated: August 15, 2010, 1:18 AM A parolee released from prison just two and a half weeks ago was arrested Saturday in connection with the worst carnage the City of Buffalo has experienced in at least three decades. But before the day ended, law enforcement officials said they think they got the wrong man. "We are having serious second thoughts," said Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III. "I have serious reservations about whether we have the right guy here." Sedita said he planned this morning to move in City Court to dismiss charges against Keith D. Johnson, 25, of Buffalo, who was accused of murdering four people outside a downtown bar. Among those killed was a man who invited friends to the City Grill as part of his wedding anniversary celebration. The shooting also wounded four others, one critically.... Wow that takes a lot of guts to admit you're wrong. -

Link ...Reeves doesn’t have more details about Sveden’s situation than what’s been reported in the news media, but he points out that this could happen only with raw peas or beans or peanuts. Cooked peas or other legumes cannot germinate or sprout. Reeves says a raw peanut could easily sprout, as could dried peas, after soaking in water. “Those are quite capable of germinating.” Spillane says children, in particular, are known to have a peanuts go down the wrong way and get lodged in the lung, which is a very serious problem. “Kids have died from that stuff,” he says. Spillane is a little surprised at all the attention this story had received. He says removing objects from patients’ lungs happens frequently. “A week later [after Sveden’s surgery], I pulled a tooth out [of another patient]." Dr. Steve Georas, a pulmonologist in Rochester, New York, agrees. He says people inhale things into their lungs frequently, probably because the trachea and the esophagus are so close to each other. “We had a similar case at the University of Rochester where I practice. A patient had a pea wedged in his bronchus – it didn't turn into a plant."... I've heard of inhaling your food but c'mon.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/08/14/buffal...dex.html?hpt=T1 (CNN) -- Eight people were shot Saturday, four fatally, at a private party held in a downtown restaurant in Buffalo, New York, police said. The dead -- three males and one female -- included a Texas man who was to be married Saturday, those attending the party at the City Grill told CNN affiliate WKBW. Of the four who survived, one had serious injuries, Buffalo police spokesman Michael DeGeorge told CNN. Police are trying to determine whether there was more than one shooter. DeGeorge said "some type of incident" occurred at the party that spilled out onto the street, where the shootings occurred. WKBW said witnesses said as many as 100 people were attending what they described as a formal reception related to a wedding that was to have taken place Saturday afternoon. Police received a call at about 2:30 a.m. from the 200 block of Main Street, DeGeorge said. At that hour, that part of downtown -- removed from Buffalo's entertainment district -- would have been sparsely populated, he said. CNN's Rick Martin contributed to this report. Shouldn't her name be Burger King Whoppers? Happy Birthday ya Jackass!!!
-
That doesn't sound at all like Michael C. Hall to me.

Some people freaked out because I did it and others kept calling me Steely. I originally was trying to change it Peter Gabriel but was too stupid to realize how to do it right.

Happy now Jackass!

Fred Jackson To Miss Rest Of Preseason

On the upside Joique Bell looked like one of the best players on either team. When that dude gets the ball he becomes a man possessed. JMO -
I'll join you PTR in the admission of over zealousness. The Bills almost had one good series. I was hoping they'd play well and I wouldn't have minded if they played less than average but they played like a college team going against NFLers. How they respond this week in Toronto will tell us a lot. JMO

Fred Jackson To Miss Rest Of Preseason

Lynch hurt as well. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/article101356.ece ...Jackson's injury is the most serious as head coach Chan Gailey said Jackson will miss the rest of the preseason and may not be ready for the start of the regular season. Jackson was on the sideline wearing a soft cast on his hand. "We hope to be able to get him back for the first game," Gailey said, "[but] not sure." Gailey does not know the extent of Lynch's injury, but he also may be out a while. Jackson and Lynch went down on the Bills' first offensive possession. Jackson was hurt on the second play from scrimmage when he was brought down by the face mask after a 7-yard run. Their absence prevented Gailey from utilizing some of the plays he installed for the game. "When we lost those two guys we lost an awful lot of stuff we were trying to do in this ball game," he said. "Those of you who watch practice saw a lot of the two tailback stuff and we were trying to use that quite a bit tonight. That kind of went out the gate when those two guys went down."... -
