  1. take Pisa- pass on Jones- give us Henderson please- Henderson and Stroud tying up blockers and the LB can run wild
  2. Fletcher was not a throw a Olineman away stuff a RB type guy- but he had very good tackles, Ints, FFs, a smattering of sacks and was a good overall pass defender- What killed me was the number of board members who dissed Fletcher but were in love with POZ who was two inches taller but 15lbs lighter, slower, not the pass defender that Fletcher was, and also not a stuff you in the hole, knock the snot out of you, LB- another case of Bills fans making up there own reality- then in a couple years they catch on.
  3. Buffalo's defense is about gang tackling - agree or disagree that's what they say so they can go with smaller LBs as long as he gets to the ball carrier in a hurry
  4. I totally agree - it's the same reasons I think they should get rid of home runs- I mean they never take into account that players go against different pitchers, play in different stadiums, sometimes the sun is in there eyes, sometimes the crowd is louder than others, some times they have a good lunch and other times the lunch isn't as good, and some teams have excellent whirlpools and sometimes the massage therapist rubs you the wrong way- yeah dude what are people thinking.
  5. His Ints, Forced fumbles, and sacks are all better than Ellison- he might not be a all-star but he's certainly an upgrade over Ellison
  6. This reflects what I thought about Dockery - it wasn't that he didn't have the Physical part- but he often didn't seem to have his head in the game at all or just didn't care- he stole money from the Bills
  7. Totally agree- said it last year Walker might be able to do a good job at LT if he comes in at 340 or under, not at the 380 he played at last year - when he played LT last year they rotated a lot of help to the left side As for Bell just because he didn't have ideal strength coming out of college - doesn't mean he's at that level now- all reports have him working out consistently for over a year- remember he never played football until college- he played basketball. COLLEGE: Did not play football at any level prior to August 2005…never played offensive tackle until three weeks before the 2006 season opener at Kansas…was the Demons’ offensive line MVP in action at Kansas, the first of 22 consecutive starts at left offensive tackle in his final two seasons of football…Entered Northwestern State on a basketball scholarship. 2007: Became the 39th All-American player in school history and the eighth player to earn that honor in Scott Stoker’s six seasons as head coach…All-Southland Conference and All-Louisiana first-team selection…only one of four Division I athletes to play both basketball and football…registered 52 knockdown blocks and graded over 81.82% for blocking consistency, helping the offense generate 3,996 yards, an average of 363.3 yards per game…helped clear the way for junior tailback Byron Lawrence to lead the conference with a 125.1 yards per game average…served as offensive captain. 2006: All-Louisiana second-team selection after shifting to the offensive line just three weeks prior to the season opener, taking over left tackle duties…helped an offensive unit average 326.8 yards per game and limiting defenses to 21 sacks on 326 pass plays…resumed his basketball career after the season, becoming a key inside force down the stretch to help the Demons win the Southland Conference East Division Championship 2005: Began his football career as a defensive end…made 11 tackles (8 solo) with a stop behind the line of scrimmage in his first-ever football game and only action of the season against Nicholls State
  8. Dude you missed the lame joke- tower of Pisa - as in leaning- now make like a tree and get out of here
  9. Hi Tim In the run up just before Peters was traded I kept hearing and reading how highly the Bills thought of Demetrius Bell and that they were really going to try to get him into the starting OL- now not so much- so was all the Bell talk just a smokescreen for Peters or is something else going on?
  10. Even better, Brad Butler behind Preston - Preston 76% Butler 75.9%
  11. the reason he was cut is that it took to long to say his name - and it extended practice by an hour
  12. Ding ding ding - we have a winner- some sacks, some ints, some forced fumbles- unless he's a child molester get him
  13. Most of this board has the same mentality as a jilted chick- they broke up with Peters and now Peters sucks in anyway it's possible to suck- Brad Butler is their new boyfriend now, he's so dreamy- after I said I thought Butler was a mediocre guard I got so many response that he was great that I started to doubt my eyes - so I'm relieved to find out he's under 80% at Point of attack- I'm going with my original assessment - fair at keeping DTs from shooting the gaps, fair at pulling, gets Bull rushed into the back field, seldom gets movement in the run game= Mediocre
  14. Maybe but 3-4 ends are usually quite a bit taller- they may try just so they don't have to take the huge cap hit but it's not a position that he's made for at all.
  15. Levi Jones maybe- Winborn ? Please!!!! and don't tell me about tackles that's a loser stat, tell me about INTs, FFs, and sacks not much to tell is there, Crowell was better than any of the free agents out there so the Bills better have his replacement on the team- DT I want to see how the Glenn Dorsey thing shakes out- he's not a nose and he's not a three so where are they going to play him, ILB? no they are going to trade him they just don't want to look too eager.
  16. Jeezzzz I was starting to doubt my opinion that Brad Butler was a mediocre guard then I find out that he lost more POA battles run blocking then Dockery- he was under 80% which is the bum line- much of this board has Bills goggles on.
  17. The one player I thought might fit on the Bills is Jarrad Page Safety from KC - he was a restrictive free agent and would have cost a 2nd rounder to get if KC didn't want to match.
  18. I think Brad Butler is pretty mediocre at guard- I think he does a good job not allowing DTs to shot the gaps, an ok job pulling, can be bull rushed into the backfield by larger DTs, and gets almost no push in the running game- but this seems to be a less than a consensus opinion and it seems like a majority thinks highly of him, many in fact seem to think he's our best offensive lineman- detractor/supporter?
  19. Bills trade pick 11 to Denver for picks 18, 64, and 114 Bills trade pick 28 to Oakland for picks 47, and 71 1.Robert Ayers DE 2a Max Unger OC 2b Andy Levitra OG 2c. Michael Johnson DE 3a. Jared Cook TE 3b. Rashad Johnson FS 4a. Vaughn Martin DT 4b. Shawn Nelson TE 4c Lawrence Sidbury Jr. DE 5. Nick Harris OLB 6. Lydon Murtha OT 7. Zach Follett OLB
  20. I wanted Freeman but maybe there was a red flag on him- or maybe they thought that Freeman was maxed out and Harris had a lot of upside- I know they liked his smarts- to me both Harris and Byrd were questionable picks given the talent there when they were taken- but we won't know for a couple years- and there are a lot of teams who make picks I don't really get not just the Bills- like Duke Robinson fell to the end of the 5th, what did he do from dominating in college to the draft to fall like that? to me Sidbury DE was a better looking prospect than most of the DEs and he fell to the middle of the 4th.
  21. 2nd round is not diamond in the rough territory, it better be diamond cut and polished - if Byrd doesn't start and play well I'm going to think that the Bills blew that pick because there was a lot of talent at that pick.
  22. Not really a biggie but the guy had a really nice highlight tape
  23. TEs And DEs usually don't make a huge difference in their rookie year- so I'm not counting on big things from Maybin and Nelson their first year. Rookie guards can come in and play well right away but are they going to dominate Wilfork, or Jenkins where I could see big improvement in the defense is if Byrd and Harris can play- If these guys can increase turnovers 6+ it could win us a couple of games - add a game for TO and that's 10-6.
