Owens Locker The picture really makes me happy. Looks like he already has # 81. I guess Hardy and him worked out some sort of transaction. Looks like he is right beside Evans.
-
I really think the Springs signing coincides at least partially with T.O to Buffalo.
-
just saw he was re-instated in late February and is a free agent. does anyone think we'll here from that guy again or is career as a professional football player over?
-
Jared Cook lit up the combine in terms of measurable 4.40 forty and 41 inch vert, I like the highlight tapes of Ingram he understands how to use his body and catches the ball well, Shawn Nelson alos looked fluid at the combine. But really I'm not sure our offense needs vertical TE. T.O and Lee can both work well down the seams, Roscoe and Reed are capable slot guys. From a TE stand point I think we need a guy who can block linebackers and D.E, start from the H-back position release into the flats, and just find open holes in zones. Honestly I'd be happy to roll with Schouman, Fine maybe add a guy through F.A like Kleinsasser, Tony Curtis or Estandia. Then see if we can hit a on a late round pick at TE.

My bad I thought you were saying all Ross Tucker's take on the situation was useless speculation.
-
F-bomb, I wonder how much of it was guaranteed. I watched a lot of Jag's game last year and I can tell you that Jabari was significantly better than Florence (who was awful, although granted the Jags did not have much of a pass rush). However 6 mil annual salary is quite a jump from Florence reported salary of 3.3 million
-
Well it could be that, but given that you have a former player who played with Mike Williams and he suggests part of the way he handled criticism was due his enormous salary guarantees I think we can say its more than just "useless speculation" sure its not a 100% concrete reason why the Mike Williams failed but its not completely baseless as I think your trying to suggest. Also I would maybe read article before you give your opinion as Tucker does not suggest the large sums of money earned are the only reasons players don't work out, he just says it can be a factor in some incidents. Clearly with Mike William thought it was an issue. Sensible article I hope you read it.
-
Will be interesting to see what the terms are like when they come out. But I think Jabari Greer is a far superior than Drayton Florence and I guess this is all superfluous until we find out how much he got payed but if it was within proximity to what Florence is making I would much rather of had Greer. Florence stinks I.M.O.

SI: Tuck's Take Decent article on the mindset of NFL players when they get a big guaranteed contract.

What Amazes me Is that Atlanta Offense with Mike Mularkey as it OC is actually producing points/winning games. Matt Ryan must be really good.

Playoff Peril? "Who Blew It!"
JuanGuzman replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan 2's topic in Fantasy Football
Brandon Marshall and Jason Witten hurt my squad. but I have WestBrook on MNF if he can get 150 Total Yards plus a TD I can still pull it out, that or 90 yards 2tds. He has been on a tear lately and the Browns suck but I hate to have all my eggs in one basket. -
Looks like he is still a gametime decision, if Maurice Morris is available in your league I think he could be a sneaky good play.
-
Thats Tough decision there: Walter seems like the play I.M.O even though his matchup is difficult, I expect the Titans to throw some double coverage at Andre Johnson and Walter will have an opportunity to make plays on the other side. With Minny Run Defense being so stout, I can see how Breaston is an intriguing option though.

Yeh thats who I'm leaning to, I have just had such bad luck with Bryant anytime I start him he puts up a crappy game and when I bench him he goes off like last week. I guess he is my best option. If Barber is ruled out who would you start... Choice or Bryant?
-
I'm in the championship this week and Brandon Jacobs is my normal flex starter but he has just been ruled out. So here are my best possible options for the flex (WR/RB) WR Antonio Bryant @ ATL - coming off a huge monday night with a decent matchup against the falcons. Derrick Mason vs Pitt - Can't see myself starting him. Pitt has the best pass defense but then again he is Flacco # 1 target RB Tashard Choice vs NYG - Not a favorable matchup against the Giants. Also the Sunday night start time could screw me if Marion Barber is probable Ahmed Bradshaw @ Dal - Ward (regret not handcuffing Jacobs with him) will start ahead of Jacobs but Bradshaw should get 8-10 carries and be involved in the passing game. We saw what he did last year against Buff at the end of the year & the Giants RB coach has talked about keeping him fresh all year. Le'Ron McClain vs Pitt Its tough to know who gets the bulk of the carries (Rice, Mcgahee, McClain) but Pitt feels like a Le'Ron McClain type of game I could see 60yds and a TD. Waiver Wire Potential: Not much real talent out there although guys Maurice Morris has a nice matchup against St. Louis, Selvin Young is supposed to play this week (Tatum Bell will start though). Mark Clayton but again a tough matchup versus Pitt. Davone Bess vs San Fran is out there and Steve Smith NYG @ Dallas. Josh Reed and Fred Jackson are around to. Any good sleepers? I can only think of Micheal Robinson for San Fran if Gore sits out. Deshaun Foster got the majority of touches last week, but I think Robinson is the better player.

This is the guy who is financing the Toronto Bill's series and the logical purchaser if Ralph Wilson were to sell the team. Can Press Also I post this not to gloat but because its interesting news to Bills fans in Buffalo, Toronto and around the world. I wish Ted Rogers a speedy recovery.

Quest Field is the loudest in the league. arrowhead a close second.

Yeh, I agree completely with your assessment. The bills should try and make the best of the lousy situation.

The CFL has an annual QB challenge in which QBs compete in events like longest throw, accuracy and agility drills. Anyway there are a lot of guys with big arms in the CFL Michael Bishop won it last time with a throw of 65 yards keep in mind that he didn't have to hit a target, had no rush and simply had to have the ball land in bounds (I think the width was 10 yards) its kinda of like a long drive contest actually. Anyway point is J.P threw a 63 yard strike on the money w/ a pass rush - - it was one of the most impressive display of arm strength I have ever seen in a game. Does that mean J.P should automatically start somewhere hell no, it just means the guy has a f-ing rocket launcher for an arm.

Tony Gonzalez didn't want to play in Buffalo
JuanGuzman replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still I'm surprised; if he wanted to play in the playoffs I would not of said no to Buffalo just on the basis of its small market, I think looking at the AFC and our schedule - - the Bills will be playing wildcard weekend and maybe beyond. -
Lombardi blog As a former GM this guy seems to have a lot of sources and he turns out to be right an awful lot of time. That being said he offers no evidence and the reader has to assume its based on more than just random speculation (which it could be).

I'm gonna have to give all the credit to the OC Mike Mularkey, Jesus Christ Matt Ryan must be good if he is putting up these numbers with that douche as his coordinator.

Week three I was loving life the - - Bills 3-0, the Patriots had just lost to the winless Dolphins. The Jets defense looked terrible as the San Diego put up a 50 burger on them. I wasn't concerned about the Dolphins' win as it looked like gimmicky victory with all wildcat direct snaps + the Pats looked awful without Brady. Everything was happy in the AFC East, two weeks later things have changed, the east has tightened up, Buffalo really only has 1 quality win (Jacksonville and even they have a losing record). Should be a fun conference to watch all the way through - - can't wait for the divisional games they will be huge. I still think the Bill's take the division but it won't be the cakewalk I thought it would be. Miami: as much as I hate them, anytime you beat Patriots and the Chargers (two pre-season suberbowl favourites) you have to take notice. I'm not sure if their Legit but that Defence looks much improved and the offense seems to be putting up points. I can't believe I'm writing this but Pennington's health with be key to their success. The Patriots: still have an offense loaded with talent, but they need to establish a ground game whether it will be Laurence Maroney, Sammy Morris, LaMont Jordon or Kevin Faulk. They are definitely not the 07/08 pats but it would be a mistake to underestimate them. Once the Bills game got out of hand I flipped to the Patriots 49ers game and it looked to me like patriots defence had it swagger back really putting a lot of pressure on J.T O'sullivan. The Jets: Farve is an X-factor, I thought he was done personally. But then he goes out and throws 6 TD's against a Arizona, the same team who wooped our butts this week. I still think their defense is suspect and really If I ranked the afc east teams I would probably put them last. But they added a lot of talent via freeagency and if that team starts to gel... watchout we could be in a for a 4 way race in the AFC east.

JP's Monster Bomb to L. Evans
JuanGuzman replied to maverick544's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we throw a last second hail mary to the end zone and the ball has to travel 60+ yards in the air 'm all for bringing in J.P.
