+1 Games are won in the trenches. We need an O line that Freddie and CJ can run behind when we face the tougher defenses. We need a D that can control the opponent's running game. We aren't there yet. In case nobody mentioned it yet, we gave up 200 yards rushing. Again. Yeah I know the game lasted an extra quarter. Regardless - we could not stop the Steelers on the ground when it counted.

Since Pittsburgh has the #1 rushing defense in the league, the game-plan on O was to throw the ball. It worked pretty well. If all the catchable dropped balls had been caught, we would have won the game. Fitz and the game-plan were not the issues. Execution was . . .

The coaching staff will be able to tell if the guy is putting in an effort to contribute to the team. The should be rehabbing and doing what he can to contribute to the team. If he is just collecting his paycheck, I let him walk...

For the sake of argument, I'm going to pretend I'm a Steelers fan for a minute. We're playing the Bills. Yay! We will have at least 15k fans at the Ralph to cheer for the beloved Gold and Black. Our #1 defense is great at forcing turnovers, and Fitzpatrick is known to throw interceptions . We will pick him off a few times today. The Bills don't have a run defense, and we run the ball pretty good. Their kicker is in a slump, so we can ice him and get him to miss a FG or two, assuming the Bills get close enough to score. If Harrison can knock Fred Jackson out of the game, they don't have anyone decent who can come in and run the ball against our D - and we only give up 2.9 yds per rushing attempt. I see us beating the Bills 34-14! I wish the best for the Bills today. They are going to have to play smart, avoid dumb penalties, and NOT turn the ball over! Pittsburgh is one of the toughest tests we will face this year.

There is still a looong way to go, but these Bills aren't playing the role of victim. They "bring it" every week, and there is no quit in these guys. We still need to overhaul the defensive front 7, but I think we are going in the right direction. Time will tell..
