  1. Any win on the road is a good win (just ask the Steelers!) Hope they can pull it off on Sunday.
  2. what a brilliant strategy! Luck may just come their way..
  3. ARGHH!! The only difference in my reaction to that pass from any other dropped pass is that it would have won the game. It's not like it would have won the Superbowl. Let it go . . . (Stevie did)
  4. D O M I N A N T ! ! ! Maybe Kyle goes as an alternate? He deserves a PB nomination
  5. Some people don't know when to walk away. FYI - We drafted Henry Jones 7 spots before Favre was drafted in the 1991 NFL Draft . . .
  6. I loved it when Payton would throw a half-back option pass!
  7. Sounds good. LA couldn't keep either the Rams or the Raiders. Conversly, San Fran / Oakland - a smaller market - does a great job of supporting both teams, and the cities are less than 5 miles apart.
  8. I was lovin' this thread until you mentioned James Hardy The guy has still NOT hooked up with any other teams. 41st player taken in the 2008 draft..
  9. Now if only we had a Smith and Talley to go along with it..
  10. I spent 2 years overseas when I was in the Air Force. The servicemen will definitely appreciate a visit from some former NFL greats.
  11. Make that +2. He is one of the classier people in the NFL.
  12. It's easier to turn a defense around than an offense. Yes, the Bills need a LOT of help with their front 7, but with a good draft, and (for a change) some decent FA signings, and this team could have a very good defense next year. If we ever get a consistent pass-rush, the secondary will start racking up INT's. It will be interesting to see how the defensive rookies do down the stretch.
  13. He's getting better at not making the "dumb" interceptions. For starters, the one last weekend was a tipped ball. Only had 2 sacks which is remarkable considering he threw it 45 times.. Is he as good a QB as Jeff Hostetler, Jim McMahon, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Matt Hasselbeck, etc?? Depending on how he progresses over the rest of the season, I think that there is a reasonable argument that Fitz may indeed be good enough to lead the Bills to a championship. The real key to winning consistently at the Ralph is being able to "run and stop the run" when the weather turns lousy, which it will if we are hosting playoff games in January. In the Superbowl, it seems like great "D" beats a great "O", so I think you build a team that can run the ball, shut down the opponent's offense, and have a SMART qb who can make big plays when you need to rack up points through the air. I think Ryan Fitzpatrick has most of the qualities one needs to lead his team to the playoffs.
  14. It's funny that as a kid, I remember Leslie playing the bad guy in every movie he acted in. To see him become a comedic actor was wonderful!
  15. I have the pic in my garage. Can't believe it's been 19 years . . .
  16. If Calloway couldn't contribute on special teams, and he wasn't markedly better than our other marginal o-linemen, might as well cut him and bring someone else in for a look-see, AKA Manny Wrotto.
  17. A win over NE would be fantastic. Especially if it drops them to wildcard status. Take that, Belichick!
