  1. Yup Promo - I still remember the Bills BEATING the Pats 14-0 in a mid season game back in '90. Now mind you, we SHUT OUT the Pats, but because they were a bad team, some fans thought we should have won by a more convincing margin. Sheesh! Although ultimately I would love to see the Bills win a Superbowl before I retire (once upon a time, that was humorous!) I would like Buffalo to at least return to being competitive, and be a threat to win any game they play. With the team is giving up 200 yd rushing games like it's their job, we have a ways to go..
  2. Pat Williams is 38. I would rather see a youth movement. Winfield is a guy who should never have been allowed to get away..
  3. There's really no place to go except up. That is assuming the Bills don't find some way to completely botch this coming off-season . . .
  4. This is a reason why I am not crazy about one-year wonders. I remember back in the 90's that the scouts looked very favorably on guys who had performed consistently well through their whole college career, because there was more of a track-record. Plus - the guy was only 234 lbs? WTF?
  5. The only time I ever had an issue at a game was a pre-season contest vs the Saints like 20 years ago. Bunch of waaaay too drunk fans being obnoxious. We had seats in the old scoreboard endzone area. No issues at any other games from 1987 - 2005.
  6. Agreed. It's a good idea to have a good stockpile of receivers going into training camp, because (as we have seen in previous years) you KNOW not all of them are going to last the whole season. I would like to see 5 competent receivers on the team , especially since we are a more pass-oriented offense with Fitz. Now if we could just find a decent tight end . . .
  7. I doubt Lee is gone unless he is involved in some kind of trade for a better draft position. Why get rid of solid players??
  8. Although I would like to see Wannstedt as our DC, I highly doubt that he would take the position because he has already been a head coach in the league twice, and he was a head coach at the college level for six seasons. But stranger things have happened...
  9. Got a Bills warm-up suit that I used to wear religiously when I was a gym rat (twenty something years ago). Don't even know where it is now . . .
  10. With all the in-breeding that goes on in some parts of the country, it might have been Eugene Tomb's grandson . . .
  11. I watched the video. Blaming it on Ozzy? Lame. Now if he'd blamed his drinking on Justin Bieber . . .
  12. You're on the money Bill. I'd really like Stevie to learn from Andre Reed's example. Reed spent LOTS of practice time working on catching passes. When you get good enough, it becomes muscle memory. Although he (Reed) also had some inopportune drops in his career, there were a lot more clutch receptions. Stevie could emerge as a true pro-bowl receiver if he takes his performance up another notch.
  13. My opinion - 16 weeks is plenty. A team that makes the playoffs as a wild-card (if they make it to the superbowl) plays a 20 game season. If that potential goes up to 22, that's asking a LOT from the linemen, RB's and QB. If they NFL wants to extend the season, add another bye-week. It may drive the fantasy football folks crazy, but it would be better for the players.
  14. ...And if this were 20 years ago, it would have to be a convincing win. Sigh...
  15. Good point. He had the Bills coaching staff fooled until the bullets were flying for real.
  16. I believe that with the current coaching staff and GM, the Bills are headed in the right direction, but as been said many times before, the roster was in a shambles at the end of 2009, and it was going to take more than one off-season to rebuild this train-wreck. I don't see us in the play-offs in 2011, but I would like to see a winning season. The AFC East is one of the toughest divisions in the league. Hopefully we have all the pieces in place by 2012.
  17. +1 But seriously, I don't think we will be picking 2nd.
  18. Are you serious? I didn't hear about that. How stupid! What about players who made the pro-bowl, but are going to play in the Superbowl? L A M E ! ! !
  19. Taken from the blog: "HSBC is a nice arena but take one wrong exit from the highway and you find yourself in a very, very, very scary ghetto," Yup - you might stumble into a local pub where the staff will force-feed you buffalo wings and your beverage of choice - the horror . . .
  20. Sounds like something my sister cooks. She is a trained chef and she loves cooking stuff on the Foreman grill!
  21. Some Lawyers / DA's will do anything for a buck or some notoriety.
  22. There seem to be a lot of them in unusual places these days. We had a moderate one in Central NY back in June. Quake
  23. Just another stop on my journey to the fifth buffalo! Lmao
  24. Ain't got none of 'em, but I did get a crackberry this year..
