  1. Dud must have test-fired it into a swarm of blackbirds: Death Ray
  2. Amen - if she bought the husband's excuse, she doesn't want to hear or believe the truth. Not much you can do, other than to stay out of the way.
  3. Yup I agree; a very winable Superbowl for Buffalo. I think that the '91 Redskins team was an awesone machine - they rolled through the NFC playoffs (Destroyed the Lions in the NFC Championship game, had a +250 point differential, and unfortunately, Buffalo's defense was riddled with injuries in '91. The '92 Cowboys just plain had more talent than the Bills. '90 and '93 Superbowls were ours for the taking . . . (sigh)
  4. Still remember the sick feeling in my gut the last few minutes of the game. After Thurman's TD run, I thought we were back in it for sure, but we just could not get the Giants off the field. I had the in-laws and a bunch of other people over to watch the game. My oldest daughters (now 23 and 22) must have thought we were crazy with all the yelling and screaming during the last few minutes of that game. If we had gotten another 5 yards on the ground, I think Scotty would have made the kick. Twenty years . . . W O W !
  5. I would like to see it happen sooner rather than later. If he was in the league under the present rules, I'll bet he would have even better career stats. DB's could get away with a lot tighter coverage 20 years ago.
  6. I thought it was a good article, and if you compare this article with the interview of Chan Gailey at the Senior Bowl, I think the articles give a lot of insight to the direction of the team. Rebuilding the Bills is a marathon, not a sprint. I do not expect the Bills to be a playoff team in 2011, however, I expect that they will be noticeably better than the 2010 team. (barring a high impact injury; i.e. losing Fitz for the season). Nix and Gailey have a plan, and I think the Bills are headed in the right direction.
  7. I avoid MSG because it can be a migraine trigger.
  8. If you like history mixed with humor, this is a good one (so far anyway; I'm about 2/3 through) Lost Continent
  9. Jack's Website I still remember watching him when I was a little kid way back in the '60s. The guy was years ahead of his time.
  10. Well stated and for the next 2 weeks I am an honorary Packers fan. It IS the LOMBARDI Trophy
  11. Green Bay and Pitt - Should be a good Superbowl . . . . .
  12. Ya - doesn't it make you feel old? My kids were babies then and now thy are out of the house! Yup: 41-3 was a pretty safe half-time lead (unless you were playing the Bills!)
  13. Me - Could you bring me some ketchup please? Waitress - "No Problem!" Me, thinking to myself - It better not be a problem, it's your job! I hate when people say "No Problem"!
  14. I seriously hate having people I don't know come into my house. Ex-cons frequently become carpet installers or similar types of work because they can't get hired to work at a regular business that does background checks. Home improvement businesses are tempting because they can work "under the table" and get the added bonus of getting into peoples home to scope things out and see what homes are easy marks.
  15. In stores just in time for Christmas . . .
  16. The fact that Wannstedt was a pupil of Jimmy Johnson is also a plus. I remember something Johnson said years ago, and it still rings true: "The keys to success in the NFL are Evaluating talent, Acquiring talent, and then getting that team to perform at its highest level." Hopefully Chan, Wanny, Nix and Co can make this happen over the next several seasons. It's been 15 years since we won a playoff game; We are due . . . - -
