If you watched todays game - you should have seen one thing...only one thing, not a play, or series of plays - just one thing that should convince you that, regardless of the mathematic possibility and how close we are to a playoff spot, this team has no chance to make the playoffs this year. THEY QUIT. I have not seen that in Buffalo in two years, but the players, the coaches, the whole shabang - QUIT. I pray Ralph has a come to Jesus meeting, (no, not an actual one with the big guy), but with his coaching staff. Sure Fitz sucked a-s, Spiller was an embarrassment getting slammed on the goal line and the D just plane blew, but the coaching staff has lost this team. It's time for the D Coordinator to be shot and let Wanny interim it for the next 6 games to see what he can do. This organization has given more black eyes to WNY than the corrupt leadership, horrible economic development and stagnant real estate market in the region ever has... Pray to God your local county government is not stupid enough to spend millions of your tax dollars on revamping the stadium to keep this NFL pariah from leeching more of your time and money. Rose colored glasses off - the bandwagon has been totaled.
Oh...and we quit against the Dolphins. Any Bills fan worth a damn would walk away screaming from this train wreck...
Last year the thing I always took pride in was that the Bills played their guts out every time they stepped on the field. WtH happened??

I was there, a few rows up, at mid-field behind the Bills bench. I watched interactions along their bench as well as the game. I knew what the outcome of the game was going to be, including that the Dolphins would run away with it, within the first few minutes. They played like they were going through the motions. And Fitz may have been their leader before his new contract, but he's not now. I've been a fan for decades, but they lost me with this one. I felt like they took my money under false pretenses.
A month ago I thought the Bills would win this game by 2 TDs. Not only have they lost key players, they've lost their confidence too..

I'm ready to see the Bills go in a different direction. 7 years in the league and he's really not been a factor on this team recently. I'm still burned over the Lee Evans fire sale btw . . .

...It's not mediocrity anymore, it's plain embarrassing.
When I looked at some of the other threads, and an article about the Bills' drafts over the past 10 years, I laughed (in a sad way). The string of failures is truly epic; matching the Matt Millen debacle in Detroit. At least the Lions have turned things around.
(Maybe we could bring Wayne Fontes and Millen in to rescue the Bills??

There has to be a few players out there available that could help this team get a few more wins this year.
Are there any WR that can catch available ?
Still wondering why Geoff Hangartner was cut when this team clearly had a problem with o-line depth. BTW - Hangman has started 9 straight games in Carolina. So he is NOT an option to help the o-line anymore...

I'm a Bills lover and an optimist. But I'm also not stupid. We are not going anywhere but home come January. I'm sorry things had to end this way.
-
The Bills is not good & they is not going to the playoffs. The end.
Dontcha mean "Da Bills AINT good an dey AINT goin ta da playoffs"
-
...will Chan Gailey and/or Buddy Nix be fired? What do you think?
I don't see that happening, because the Bills will be playing some other decimated teams, and there are 3 home games left. That being said, Wanny will be DC next year unless he gets a better offer.

...
Going back to the Lee Evans trade, our front office is filled with baffoons. This is not rocket science.
I still can't believe the best we could get for Lee was a 4th round pick. Are ya serious??

Where are the guys that were saying Von Miller is too small and weak to be effective in the NFL? So many people ranting: "he gets manhandled by college TEs, the NFL tackles will eat him alive". well, you're wrong. I love Dareus. I'm glad we have him. I'm gonna get crucified for this, but I'd rather have Miller. Having a PREMIER pass rusher is so important in today's game and Miller IS a premier pass rusher. Dareus will be a dominant player for years to come and will hopefully anchor our defense for his entire career, but until we get premier pass rusher, our defense will continue to struggle (even after Edwards is axed). This isn't an anti Dareus post, he's the best player on our roster (fred ex may have something to say about that), but a hail Von Miller post. The guy is an absolute monster. 9 tackles 1 sack (maybe 1.5) a FF. The sack pretty much ended the game. 9 or 10 sacks on the season, only 2 games in which he hasn't gotten to the qb. He's not a Bill, but I'm a fan. Lets hope he doesn't end fitz in a couple weeks.
I'd rather have Dareus. Anybody who thinks about where the Bills were prior to this past draft knew it wasn't going to be a one-year rebuilding project. Buffalo would have needed an extra pick in each round. (probably 2 extra's in rounds one and two!)
Dareus was the best choice for us in 2011. We need to be able to stop the run and we are getting better at it. Hopefully this off-season and draft, we can finish rebuiling the defensive front seven, and find some offensive help for Fitz.
(and can I just add that I love my current avatar??)

Ahhh . . . The old hired gun trick!

I'd like a LB for our first pick unless O-Line needs more work. Receivers are a dime a dozen; should be free agents available.

The Pack has been playing great this season, and last night was another passing clinic by Aaron Rodgers.
What teams match up well against the Packers? I think the December 4th game against the Jints should be a good show.

I thought you were posting about this....

Did you build it with Tinker Toys?

I'm no longer convinced 10-6 gets it done, especially with the tie-breaker situation we're in.
I'm no longer convinced we are capable of 10-6, given the rash of injuries to key players. It's not like we lost a couple of no-name guys . . .

I agree with the sentiment. Talley obviously loves this organization and wants to get into coaching, so to me it makes perfect sense to have him on the defensive staff in some way, shape or form.
Thanks for posting the YouTube clip, as well. Darryl is a Buffalo Bill to the soul!

Good point, Bill. But will they be available? I'm guessing that the Bills, with a 9-7 record, will be drafting around the 18 or 19 slot. Of course, great LB prospects can be had at that slot. But when will they get either the pass rusher or the blue chip CB that they desperately need?
This is a separate issue, but I think the most disappointing first round pick (among the very many) in the last decade has been McKelvin. I say that because he looked good right off the bat, and he's clearly a physical specimen. He really has it all physically, yet he sucks. He's Terrell Buckley all over again. You can't cut him either because the talent is there and you can't risk seeing him finally get it elsewhere. With someone like Maybin or Spiller, you can write it off as a bad investment and move on. With his evident talent and the extremely high premium placed on CBs (and rightly so), it's much harder to stomach.
Maybe McKelvin should move to free safety?

It's hard to believe it took this long for someone to crack that code.

The Bills and Fins appear to be going in different directions. Buffalo has dropped 2 straight while the Fins have won their last 2 games. Injuries have exposed the Bills lack of depth – but for Miami, Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett have started to gel.
Will the Bills be ready for Reggie Bush, Matt Moore and Brandon Marshall? The Bills have been giving 24 points a game to opposing WRs and RBs so far this year – which has put pressure on the offense to keep pace.
The Fins are favored by 3 points - which means this appears to be a pick game, but if Fitz and the Bills continue to misfire on offense, it could be another long day for Bills fans.
Miami is currently 10th in the league against the run – but 25th against the pass. It would great to see Spiller used more in the Parrish\Wes Welker type role. It would also be great to see Steve Johnson again - right? But Fitz has been looking a lot like a Kelly Holcomb recently – which means that hopefully the Bills will not have to play from behind and are able to show up on defense to start the game.
Go Bills!
Should be a good game unless it ends up a scoreless tie

Making distinctions within the category is useless. At the same point in their careers neither contributed enough to justify their draft position. At least had one earned a starting role you could argue they were drafted too high like Whitner, but that's a disappointment not a bust. Spiller has a chance to not be a bust a he's still here, let's hope he emerges. We desperately need a new weapon on offense.
I hope they use him in the slot more. He's got good hands and should be able to take some pressure off Stevie

I wonder if he had to sell his Escalade?

Anyone made the connection that now that the elections are over, government officials are shutting down the "occupy" groups across the country? Not that I agree with them, but so freaking typical.
-
This team has no depth! That's the underlying problem. 10 years of bad drafts combined with the lockout is the problem. We are headed in the right direction but we need a quality bench!
-
At least for almost three quarters. Now everyone can enjoy Bills style of football.
Should they change their name to the Buffalo Groundhogs (same ---- season after season)
or the BUffalo I.R's (Where sports medicine isnt just a job. (It's a full time,24 hr a day, neverending job)
Miami is favored (wow). SO now this has become the defining game, that will show fans what this team is made of?
That is what people were saying about Dallas!
I think the fish are only half as good as the cowboys. So Miami score will be 22
I think the BIlls will play twice as well as last game. SO Bills score 14
A loss to miami would mean what?
This team gives me Fitz!!!!
Well unless the team somehow manages to pull out a winning record for the season, I don't think we see them in a SNF game in 2012.

Reed needs to be in there. I could make an argument for Tasker too.
If Bennett had a couple more years that matched his early high production, he'd be a solid candidate, but he started to fade too early in his career.
