  1. No, they said Revis is going to get a 2nd opinion per standard Jets TEAM procedure for such a serious first prognosis. He's done for the year, they are just being smart and making sure.
  2. I am calling it FAIL Mary
  3. If I remember correctly, the Bills lost both Bell AND his backup Hairston the same week. It's why I've been shouting here to anyone who would listen that the team was much better than their record last season - NO TEAM has the depth to survive the loss of both their first and second string OLT and not have serious problems. When they shoved Levitre out there AND lost Wood, it was a disaster, and coincidentally, that was right when their string of Jets/Dolphins games started.
  4. No way would I make that trade - why would the Bills screw up their young OL for an old WR the Pats don't want.
  5. They were only in position to even try that FG because of a stupid Cardinals fumble. The Patsies OL is a complete train-wreck. Prediction: Pats will lose badly in Baltimore tonight, and the Bills will beat what is left of them somewhat convincingly next week.
  6. I am wishing the Bills drafted Cousins. Never cared for Clausen. I do wish they made more of a play for Quinn - I just don't think he had a enough of a chance to prove himself in Cleveland and he certainly has all the physical tools. Fitz is decent, but he certainly isn't a positive difference maker for the Bills.
  7. Pears has gotten better as they have finally gotten some weight on him. As I recall, he was barely 300 when he got to Buffalo, which as a 6-8 O-lineman is kind of on the "skinny" side. I too have noticed how Pears has stood up this year as a veteran leader and enforcer. Wood is certainly plenty tough, but he's young - Pears setting the veteran example has been great.
  8. I am not convinced the Patriots are all that big a deal anymore. Their O-line is a complete shambles, and now they won't have Henrnandez against the Bills. They don't suck - but they are having real trouble getting Brady time to throw,
  9. And if you haven't seen yet - once again the Bills afer two weeks lead the league in rushing yards (just under 400) and fewest sacks (the only team to have allowed none)! No doubt we will be told that it's all Chan Gailey's brilliant coaching and Fitz's awesome quick passing, but it did kind of looked to me like a lot of huge holes and a lot of all day to throw back there. So if Wood and Levitre want to talk during or after the game - let them - they're earning it.
  10. Thank you for being the only person here so far to get the real point. The Bills O-Line is BADAZZ and as they mature into veterans they are letting opponents know how it is going to be. Seriously - is there an actual Bills fan deranged enough to still be whining and worrying about this offensive line? Glenn looks like one hell of a 2nd round steal. If only we had an actual QB instead of the league's best backup...
  11. Because the Bills couldn't stop the run to save their lives and Dareus was and is a beast? Dareus and KW were doubled almost all game last week, and the Jets got almost nowhere running the ball. With KW healthy and the two of them finally together it's clear the Bills have at least fixed the single most glaring weakness from the start of the Nix tenure. Yeah - and now they still need upgrades at QB and WR, and maybe LB, but hey - honestly, that is ALL they need, which is a lot better off than they had been. I put the lack of pass-rush last week almost entirely on the young CB's playing too far off.
  12. 49 - started with the Bills watching them lose (in the playoffs?) to the Steelers with my uncle telling me "that's OJ Simpson, the best running back in the league". I've mostly lived in Maryland - both parents from Amherst though. I've inflicted the Bills on my now 19 year old son who has never even been to Buffalo. I once refused his request to let him be a Ravens fan. I am a cruel father. Been paying for DirecTV for since Gregg Williams started coaching. My father, son, and I wasted a lot of Sundays watching them since, but those were good wasted hours spent together. Dad didn't live to see them win again, but as such things are cyclical I am confident my son and I will see them rise to the top again. Despite last week's fiasco, I am still expecting some good things this year.
  13. Gannon pointed it out during the game - Fitz was taking too long to make his throws, and they were all behind the receivers and easily read by the DBs as a result. My theory is he was thinking about the mechanics he's working on instead of playing football. Disappointing because it means he hasn't internalized them enough yet to be natural which means at best he won't be able to benefit from them and at worst the effort may have actually made him worse.
  14. Oh I don't know - which part? I thought it was pretty much what I would have him say at this stage.
  15. By the way - I believe KC is much improved and may well beat us. I believed that 4 weeks ago. It still doesn't mean the Bills won't make the playoffs.
  16. I am angry and frustrated watching this, but I am not surprised - it's a new scheme on defense and Fitz isn't a consistent QB. Going into the game I thought they could struggle through September and still be a 10-6 playoff team. I still believe that. The back 7 looks like they are confused about assignments. They are young. That will get fixed. The most disappointing thing so far is the lack of pass rush - the front four looks flat. I refuse to believe that a healthy Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus will look flat all year. They never have before. In other words, everything is going wrong at once - it happens. Doesn't mean it's going to happen 15 more times.
  17. What valid points? The Giants' DB's are an injury disaster. I don't think anyone is suggesting we break all our CB's to match them.
  18. Rockinon - I am begging you to tell me you are kidding.
  19. "Everybody" says it because it is clearly true. Sanchez isn't very good. That's as close to a factual statement as one can make about such a thing. His QB rating is in the low mediocre (never cracked 80) every year - two seasons he was carried by a great defense and running game - when that went away they struggled and even having his best statistical season, he was still not a (positive) difference maker. What does that tell you about the state of our pass defense last year when we played? The Bills had the worst pass rush I've ever seen. The 2012 Bills D-Line is an entirely different animal. 3/4 of the starters this year weren't on the active roster when the Bills played the Jets last season. There is NO comparison. Fitz is still capable of screwing this up with turnovers. As we saw against the Steelers in PS week 3, CJ can screw it up with a fumble too. Bottom line: The Bills are the better team, but not by enough that it's anything like a lock, particularly when we don't know how well the defense will understand their assignments in this new scheme.
  20. Yeah - except Milloy was a star who went on to start with the Bills for years. Hagan is not Milloy.
  21. This guy was also convinced Vince Young was going to win the starting QB job in Buffalo.
  22. There was an absolutely obscene holding non-call during that drive around the Buffalo 30. No way the real ref's miss it - a Steeler OL had his arm completely around the throat of a pass-rusher.
  23. The O line looks fine. Jackson is pretty mediocre - I would rather have whoever the Dolphins cut.
  24. Steelers got away with a ridiculous hold at the 30 on that drive. Full arm around the neck in plain view. Whatever - these ref's are awful.
  25. A lot of guys on that list that will not be on the team, Merriman already, of course, but several others almost certainly. Mark Anderson probably deserved a little more love after a 10-sack season.
