  1. Seems like mostly speculation on Werder's tweet: "Regarding Jarius Byrd: Acrimony remains, will take time to adjust to scheme, get in football shape, may even hope for eventual trade" (But I am all for it if they get something good in return)
  2. "Rumors that the Jets will put a little "Butt Fumble Bull's-Eye" on the seat of each player's pants this season are almost completely untrue. " Agree with nearly all the author's picks, but while I agree the Raiders' uniforms themselves are clean and sharp, I just can not abide their stupid logo/helmet sticker. It looks like it should be the joke version of their logo - not the real one.
  3. And most were high picks within those rounds too: #10 Gilmore #11 McKelvin #1 Mario #3 Dareus #22 Lawson #46 Alonso #42 Byrd #34 A. Williams #134 K. Williams #72 Carrington #105 Bradham Average pick position: 43.6 Plus Jerry Hughes - another 1st rounder - #31 overall.
  4. Anyone who uses Netflix? Presumably they would open up access to other boxes that support internet streaming - not just full-up computers.
  5. And you think how late you stay up one night doesn't affect your sleep cycle for the NEXT DAY? This is provably false. It's not like he was getting to bed at 2 am - he was still out and about at 2 am. No way is he remotely at his best by 8 am the following (Sunday) morning. There are lots of studies that show this if it isn't intuitive enough for you. We're talking about a 2nd year 5th round pick trying to play in a new more complex system. If he's serious about earning and keeping his spot on the team, he needs to get serious about being his best when he's trying to learn his job.
  6. No you're right - and I don't hate the person at all (a local kid here where I am in Maryland, btw) - it's just the pain of the Bills' foolishness that gets dredged up again each time he's in the public eye. When he was successful briefly with the Jets - or had he caught on with the Bengals or elsewhere, the question of whether or not he really gave his all in Buffalo becomes a fair one.
  7. Because he was such an EPIC BUST. Say this out loud and see if you don't start feeling a little dizzy: "Eric Flowers was better than Maybin." The Bills have had several bust 1st picks, but I am pretty sure Maybin is unique among top half-first's in being so bad he couldn't even be activated much of the time.
  8. Yeah - I've been really confused by the final-53 lists on WGR and elsewhere all writing Easley off - makes no sense to me. Easley has also looked good in kick coverage, right? How does B.Smith possibly beat him out?
  9. That's brilliant - so "after sundown" == 2 AM? He was in Western New York, not Alaska. No one has yet responded to my point that to heck with the pot - WTF is he doing cruising around at 2 AM during Training Camp where they have been holding nearly all their practices at 8 AM?? That's called not giving a damn about your job, and the Bills have every right to rip him a new one for it.
  10. Agreed (unless maybe if it's at the end of a bad season and a loss gets us the next Bruce Smith) how about the more realistic statement: I would much rather they lose with Manuel than lose with Kolb. If I thought they would win (much) with Kolb, this would all be a non-issue.
  11. Pot aside, please help me with why anyone is up past 2am (90 miles away?) during Training Camp? They have morning practices - wtf Nigel???
  12. Well they weren't beating us until Kelly was gone, so...
  13. That would be good - seems like they could do the same for C-J when he does something amazing too. (And TJ for that matter).
  14. And does Kolb really qualify as that? He's played what - 30 games? Moreover, Easley has been doing well on S/T - he makes the roster. I think Smith is gone.
  15. Hey Leslie, exactly what does game-planning or scheme have to do with the way Hughes abused Matt Kalil 1-on-1 for a sack on the first play from scrimmage? Vikings are just whining.
  16. I have no problem extending my war chant through Saturday night into Sunday! <-- closest they had. They probably won't hear me down in Maryland though... FSU's had a pretty incredible run of turning out NFL players, and they are on the rebound after a couple of down years. Unlike state rivals FU ( I mean UF) and Miami for whatever reason FSU hasn't been turning out a bunch of felons. We also have the hottest women. On the downside, for those of you too young or unaware, FSU also shares the tragedy of a season-killing "Wide right!" that happened in the same calendar year as that other unmentionable. The good news is, FSU finally turned it around and won the National Championship. Bottom line: They do bring good karma.
  17. Pettine has been explicit about this. They are going to be an attacking (blitzing) defense, they have to practice that during the pre-season. That does not mean they are game-planning for anyone - this is their "normal" defense.
  18. Almost certainly - I am actually surprised Powell won already - he seemed to be even at best. The writing was on the wall for Lindell when they drafted a K in the 6th. Looks like a heavy dose of FSU in the Bills backfield - QB, K, P, and LS all recent former 'Noles! Can't say this Florida State grad is unhappy...
  19. Seriously - I was thinking he'd be a good add for the Bills prior to signing Kolb, but I gather he preferred staying there.
  20. You didn't miss much - their play-by-play guy was good, but their color-guy was brutal. Among the dumbest I've heard and that's saying a lot.
  21. Two drives starters vs. starters and Luck moved the chains a bit but scored no points. I'll take that for learning a new system. I'll add this - all the injured players during the game were Colts. I'm not looking for dirty, nor am I seeing dirty. I saw attack, and when you're on your heels too much you tend to get hurt more. By forcing the action I am hopeful the new D will put more of the hurt on the other teams.
  22. OH MY GOD Do you suppose there's any chance this was a spoof? I mean - that was awful - and who in their right mind could possibly be enthusiastic about having "[blaine Gabbert] on your side" in a football game? The kid's been a disaster best known for not standing in against hits to make throws in the pocket.
  23. With Levitre gone, it's been hard for the Bills to keep Wood(s) up throughout a whole practice.
  24. You know there's an adjustment for that, right? ---> and for Miami Fish Fans there is also this option --->
