  1. Agreed - WTH? That IS a disqualifier!!
  2. Wait - I thought you meant Losman!! You don't??
  3. From last year they've added McCoy, Felton, Incognito, Cassell They've lost Orton and presumably Spiller. Kiko did not play last year. You already admitted you don't think Orton > Cassell and surely you don't think Spiller > McCoy. So you basically made no sense whatsoever. What do they teach kids in school these days???
  4. There is a lot of nonsense on this board.
  5. Seriously - and all the current activity should be a reminder... Kiko - who they got with an extra 2nd rounder obtained by trading down to still get the first QB in the draft - nets them Shady McCoy. Hughes - we're worried about re-signing, but keep him or no, all they gave up to get him for 2 years was a mediocre LB Sheppard. How did that work out?
  6. Chris Brown (as well he shouldn't being a team employee) never puts anything out there that doesn't have OBD approval - or at least his perception of approval. This is all but complete confirmation - at least from the Bills' perspective.
  7. "4-5 years more of great" is overly optimistic. He's 26, will be 27 at the start of the season. Not a lot of great 30+ year old backs. I'd say he likely has 2 years of great left and 1-2 years of maybe very good after that. Make no mistake, this is a short-term move. Having said that, I'm still OK with it.
  8. He may want to retire soon, but he's Rex's kind of player - I bet he sticks another year.
  9. That's simply not true. The coaching staff (and management) can and hopefully are considering "he has a chance" as the perfectly sensible position at this point - 14 starts into his career. Keeping him on the roster and/or giving him a chance to compete (the only decision at hand today) does not mean they have to believe (with any certainty) he will be a franchise QB.
  10. No that's not what was asked. If it was, I'd agree with you. DT is probably the only position where the 2015 Bills are better. The 90's Bills were better at literally all 11 positions on offense. I interpret the question as "does Jim Kelly in his prime, transported to today win a SB with this supporting cast?" and in the FA era, the answer is yes or at least maybe. The talent in the league is much more spread out now than back then when a few teams had all the talent. Another way to understand it - do the 2014/15 Bills with Aaron Rodgers at QB win a SB? Not a given, but they would certainly be live. We just watched two very flawed teams compete for the title this year.
  11. Yes they would. Many posters are correctly observing that the team would still not be as good as the SB Bills. BUT that misses the fact that NO NFL TEAM is as good today in the free agency era as the best were back then. Just look at this last Super Bowl - would either of those teams have stood a chance in the 90's? Not likely. To answer the question, it's not necessary for them to be as good as the 90's Bills to win the SB today. With any HOF caliber QB this team IS good enough to win today.
  12. Wilson is hardly an "elite" QB unless you count elite QB's by wins and Super Bowls, in which case the argument is cyclical and pointless.
  13. Worrying about ANY veteran RB is nonsense. They are a dime a dozen in the draft, and the veterans wear down quickly. The best last year went in the second round - if the Bills need one, they can draft 1-2 studs easily. Get the Offensive Line fixed - the RB performance will follow.
  14. SEC?? Has this dufus noticed what happened in the bowl games? Denial??
  15. That article only states fact that Thurman is joining Bills - the part about Schwartz leaving was pure speculation as presented.
  16. That could well be - but it only works up to a certain $ level. If the Pegula's feel strongly enough they can outbid almost anyone.
  17. I'd be happy with that even keeping EJ as QB. Shanahan turns 6th round RB's (Terrell Davis, Alfred Morris) into superstars. Imagine what the Bills could do with this defense if Spiller reached his full potential? Or even if they draft a different sort of RB Shanahan prefers? With a top defense which they already have, AND a great running game, you don't need a great QB. In fact - in that circumstance, EJ and his conservative tendencies might be even better than INT-prone Cutler.
  18. I will be seriously disappointed if the Jets don't get stuck with him. I thought ATL was the spot for Rex as soon as Smith was fired. All they've been talking about since we saw them on Hard Knocks was how they aren't "tough" enough. Say what you want about Rex the Blowhard, he coaches tough teams. Also they have offense and need defense - he could do very well there.
  19. Most of the same OL players that were young rising stars two years ago (Glenn, Woods, Urbik) have REGRESSED after two years under Maroon and his handpicked OL coach Morris. Marrone is full of it.
  20. I have real heartburn with the OL coaching. Same guys that were there with Gailey and DeLasandros (?) and looked like pro-bowlers are suddenly a liability under Marone and Morris. Glenn, Urbik, and Wood all regressed. Morris' track record and statements coming in had me worried, his results should have people calling for his job.
  21. This++ Dream scenario.
  22. Seriously - how is this even a question? Wilson plays on a much better team. Luck was the greatest draft prospect in 30+ years and has done nothing to call that into question. Luck by a mile.
