  1. Nothing has changed - 5 weeks now w/o an OLine coach, so of course they aren't good enough. Very hard to form a judgement until then. They looked awfully good in the preseason games, during which he was still around. Hopefully Kromer will make a difference in 2 weeks. 6 week suspension - he comes back after the Cincy game.
  2. I wouldn't say the OP is wrong, but I am withholding judgement on the OL until Kromer is back. This OL has been w/o an experienced coach for a month now - can't help but think that's an issue.
  3. 10) I continue to wonder what sort of negative impact lack of an experienced OL coach is doing this unit. 2 more weeks until Kromer returns and we find out, hopefully that he helps. Roman keeps outsmarting himself. It's hard to watch.
  4. This is the right list. This is Fox's first season with a team everyone knew was crap for heaven's sake - of course he's safe!!!
  5. Name mangling aside - the number of times Roman went to Boobie Dixon on critical 3rd downs was maddening, and he failed every time. I love me some Boobie as much as the next guy (no seriously, I was a big fan of Dixon's play last season) but he is a major downgrade from Williams - hopefully the coaches see that when they look at this tape and rethink how they use him.
  6. Yeah - but the Bills will be up by 20... Seriously though, this map is stupid - Chicago @ Seattle is going to be a horrible game.
  7. I'll take that as a wager - how much do you want to pay me? you have 5-11 or less vs. I say they make the playoffs. $500?
  8. We can easily rattle off a dozen ugly things about this game - and despite that with over a minute left they had the ball down by a score. They are going to win a lot of games this year - maybe even week 10.
  9. My prediction is 5 of the next 6.
  10. They have over coached him - he has had opportunities to run and he's not looking for them. They are giving him even fewer opportunities than they should though.
  11. HOW THE !@#$ DO YOU NOT ROLL OUT TAYLOR ON 3rd and 3?!?!?!
  12. Offensive play-calling is bizarre - playing to every one of their own weaknesses. Short yardage up the middle with Shady. ZERO roll-outs for Taylor? WTF ROMAN??
  13. Bills DL looks like they're asleep. Play calling on offense after first drive has been weird->stupid. Bubble screens or whatever that is when defense is totally spread out is hopeless.
  14. This Also the Steeler D blows - we saw that ourselves preseason week 3. Pats* do not have the material to beat a good team right now.
  15. Yes - Manny is one of the best LBs in coverage I have seen.
  16. I believed this was a playoff team (~10-6) before the season started. I was marginally disappointed in the O-Line run blocking yesterday, but pleasantly surprised by the DBs. I fully expect them to beat the Pats somewhat handily Sunday. The Pats are not the same team - losing Revis is not a minor thing, and their run D against Steelers backups looked like they miss Wilfork. The middle of the Pats O-Line is a shaky mess and I rationally expect Dareus to go wild on them. Pressure up the middle always beats Brady (and pretty much any other QB). Sure - I have all that Bills-fan fear from years of disappointment, but rationally, I can see a 9-7 team from last year with a top defense that upgraded at 6 of 11 offensive positions and rationally determine this is a 10-6 or better team that will likely make the playoffs. If they win the next two, with no big injuries and Tyron still playing well I will start thinking about 12-4 and the division and beyond.
  17. 30-10 Bills. Colts do not match up well anywhere but at QB. Fanboys and national idiots getting excited about adding two old guys on offense is typical nonsense. Losing DT Arthur Jones is lethal for them - Bills RBs will run wild.
  18. I'd say that was a good team beating a mediocre team. Both are flawed - Steelers more so than Pats. Pitt D is putrid. NE D is just mediocre. Losing LeBeau is a disaster for them. Leaving Gronk uncovered is sad, going out there with only 10 players was pathetic.
  19. I still think the biggest upgrade - even bigger than Shady - that noone outside is talking about is the MASSIVE upgrade to the OL. Between the two new guards and the new coaching they were winning pretty consistently 1s vs 1s in every preseason game. We haven't seen that in a while. It's going to instantly make the whole offense look worlds better. Yeah - funny paradox about football fandom. The better your team is, the less fun it can be to watch them sometimes, since only bad things can happen when the baseline is you assume they will win. Even worse in college football where every game is almost a playoff - been dealing with that on and off for years now as an FSU fan.
  20. Damn - hope my KW jersey isn't at risk - hate to put it with my Takeo Spikes and Donte Witner... You should go complain to your boss right now! In all seriousness, I'm relatively happy with that number - glad they got something done w/o having to get completely ridiculous ($uh)
  21. Yeah - if I'd looked at any preseason games, I absolutely would.
  22. Haha - I ran into myself just watching this! Ravens fan in my Maryland-based league took him 12th. I retaliated with Forsett at 14.
