  1. WHY IN HECK WOULD WE DUMP OUR MOST TALENTED PLAYER FOR A POS BUST QB??
  2. Cameron Jefferson plays OT like he's got one arm in the air. Should have been cut weeks ago for suck.
  3. He had one good scoring drive when he first came into the game late and with the Browns way behind where the Bills D didn't adjust to his mobility. Next drive they had adjusted. He never moved the ball again in that game. What an insult to Flutie. Flutie never failed to commit himself to success. Manziel has yet to act like an adult at any point.
  4. He also couldn't catch a cold and didn't have Goodwin speed. Goodwin definitely the best of the 3.
  5. Assuming FredEx and several others don't count, I'm going with RB Roland Hooks, "the human crowbar".
  6. In the living room of my friend's rented townhouse in Annapolis, Md. Small party with friends. 27, my wife was my fiance and there to see the horror.
  7. Blaine Gabbert is no better than 3rd on their depth chart. Seems like a sensible grab for a 6th or 7th?
  8. Brown's got a quad, and is being fussy with Ariens about how fast he wants to come back.
  9. The Pegulas are in Arizona to trade NFL FRANCHISES. "We're tired of whining Bills fans. We're going to try out some whining Cardinals fans as a change of pace. Also, trust the process!"
  10. Peterman. McDermott and Beane announce they are going to beat the Jets without a QB. "It's not about getting the best players, it's about building the best team for our vision as a contender in the long term. Trust the process!!" (Seriously, I love McBeane and think they're doing fine.)
  11. Huh - the thing about Brown is that Bruce Ariens complaints about him are lack of availability (injury), etc. Sounds like the anti-McBeane guy.
  12. Is it wrong to say I will be rooting for massive injuries to both teams. Hopefully all not so painful, and only season-ending, not career-ending!
  13. Sheesh - I gave you a player example to go with it - pretend you don't see the numbers!
  14. Ponder has the right play style for WCO - but how long has it been since he's played?
  15. Well right - that's what I'm thinking - and presumably they'd bring in a challenger to Yates for that game too. ------ I have to say I'm struck by how many people say Peterman could light it up against the Jets and they still wouldn't keep him starting. How do you think you find the next Wilson/Prescott/Brady? The starter gets hurt, your 3rd/4th/6th rounder steps in and takes the job. This is why we can't have nice things.
  16. TT's QBR this preseason: 27.9
  17. I gave you a new choice for that, although it's hard to imagine them winning with a QBR under 27.9!!
  18. OK - so OBD says Taylor is still the starting QB. But that obviously assumes he clears the concussion protocol and can get ready for the Jets game. Hypothetical - suppose Tyrod can't play against the Jets and Peterman steps in for the win (against a bad team with a good defense). How well would Peterman have to do to keep Tyrod on the bench for week 2 even if he's healthy? IE - my title said "good" but how good does that have to be?
  19. Batted balls are an OL problem - happened to all 3 QBs - it's not on them. Notice it only happened on the right side. If you watch the replays, the OL were too far off from the DL which let them jump - they are supposed to be there to nail them in the gut when they jump like that, but they are getting burned so badly in pass pro they are backing up too far trying to keep the rusher in front of them.
  20. Well whoever is their ultimate #3 needs some time to prove himself and get some game work - I'm mostly assuming it's not Yates. If TT is any risk at all to not play week 1, they need to have Peterman plus a backup rdy to go.
  21. Not in this scheme, which despite Dennison's assurances, really does NOT look suited to TT's talents. TT can be very good in a scheme that's all running plus deep bombs. Old school Al Davis Oakland/Terry Bradshaw Steelers offensive theory. Pretty much the complete opposite of the WCO. So did you take that to mean you think McD already knows that TT will have no concussion issues that will affect him for week 1?? Regardless of what the coaches want re: the QB situation, my bet is Peterman starts week 1. If Peterman beats the Jets, do you pull Peterman even after TT was a complete dumpster fire in all 3 of his preseason appearances? No to what that I said? You do know TT is concussed, right? At this moment, Peterman is the top available QB. There's zero question of that.
  22. He was playing the 1's last night. You're using last week's facts. And again, no one is addressing the very real possibility that TT is OUT for the start of the year. He may have gotten on the plane home, but he was in bad enough shape he couldn't return to the sidelines during the game. I know, I was scanning the sidelines for him. Peterman IS the #1 QB right now. It's a near certainty he will be getting all the rep's with the ones this week including in the game.
