Beth Mowins to call Bills-Texans
BobChalmers replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Paying for GamePass (which included the radio broadcasts) on top of SundayTicket is worthwhile just for this. -
#1 I'm glad Ken's taking care of his health. Whatever replaces it - if anything - it's probably best to let it emerge rather than force it - and probably best to spread the activities around. It's a bummer that the table-jumping will likely be even more (nationally) synonymous with Bills tailgates though in its absence. On a personal note, I'm glad I made it up there with my son finally and caught the second to last time for Ken's insanity (2019 Ravens)... As I close in on retirement I'll try to come up more often and I promise I'll keep bringing frozen Margaritas to share!

5 weeks (3 weeks to second shot, 2 weeks after 2nd shot to full effectiveness) from first shot to fully vaccinated unless they changed something? -
Bills Secondary Ranked 2nd by Sharp Football
BobChalmers replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reading the front seven list - just another reason to pity Jets fans: 21. New York Jets The front seven is New York’s top-ranked unit, primarily based on the addition of Carl Lawson, arguably the most talented player on the roster. Though depth is lacking, one elite pass rusher changes how an offense game plans for your defense. OUCH -
Wait a sec... maybe Brown and Doyle are... Guards?
BobChalmers replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, I think what it means is that the Bills are counting on Cody Ford to come back healthy and stay inside at G. -
The best run defense is scoring 30+
BobChalmers replied to DollaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been thinking about this rematch ever since the Bills acquired Diggs. Coming from Maryland, the Ravens game last year was the first for my adult son and the first Bills game I'd made it to in over a decade. Seen replays since - it's burned into me. The Bills struggled on offense through most of the game, but tying the game was still within reach at the end and came down to a play that failed on Brown's inability to get open on Marcus Peters. I believe Diggs can torch Peters at least as easily as he worked over Ramsey. The Bills defense isn't quite what they were last year, but neither is the Ravens D, and Allen is an entirely different QB. I am in no way taking anything for granted, and the Bills really need to figure out how to cover TEs but they CAN win this, potentially even going away. -
Milano should have been benched
BobChalmers replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In the context of the overall team's performance, even being VERY disappointed in Milano's performance yesterday is still pretty specific. Not liking the thread title is fair, but a bit of a diversion. Wording (or even hyperbole) aside, there's a legitimate concern. If the Ravens and Browns win today, next week the Bills will be facing an even better running team with even better TE play than we saw yesterday. The play of both of the LBs is a worry. Edmunds made some good plays in coverage at least. Milano really looked like he was struggling all game. (and yeah, I'm assuming the blown coverage was on White, but that was hardly Milano's only coverage struggle) -

BobChalmers replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's certainly fair to be concerned about Milano's play - not sure what the deal is with so many fans who can't stand some very specific concerns being discussed. This topic will become a very big deal in the offseason when the Bills have to decide if they are paying him an estimated $13M/year the last time I heard a number for Milano. Based on his performance this season, and his injury troubles (he's undersized, so it's no surprise he gets hurt), I'd have trouble with him getting a big contract. He does a lot I like, he plays with great fire and usually when healthy, great speed, but particularly on a team that starts only two LB's, I don't think they can afford to make someone his size be one of the two. Maybe if they could find an elite NT with size to compensate? -
Question for those who witnessed the SB years?
BobChalmers replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not convinced they go back to 3 more if they won the first one - agree with others it was the only year they were definitely the best tea, in the NFL. Without that loss it's conceivable their motivation wasn't the same. Nobody was beating that Redskins team the way their OL was performing. Less than 10 sacks allowed through the regular season if I remember right - and their base defense was 3-wide (they threw it plenty). And that Cowboys team - they were at least as good as Buffalo. The Bills were not great at run defense - like a lot of teams their defense needed leads to dominate good teams. -
Beane's construction of this roster
BobChalmers replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Might be true. It seems like there are 1-2 elite MLB available mid 1st every year. Milano just seems too small to keep at a big number - the fact that he's frequently hurt shouldn't be a surprise. Maybe move Edmunds to his spot and find a better run stuffer for MLB? In fairness Edmunds isn't getting much help out there in front of him - an actual 1-technique DT could make all the difference by himself. I'm kind of surprised they haven't taken a stab at one of the available ones. Klein is an absolute disaster out there - he's not even acceptable depth. -

Early but not looking good. -
^^^ The unprofessional moron in the the red t-shirt tells you all you need to know about the depth of PFF "analysis" (if the fact that dismal human being Chris Collinsworth runs the outfit isn't enough for you). They have access to lots of great stats - then they ignore those and form their opinions based on essentially personal BS "Josh Allen sux becuz" ("becuz we sed he wood outta college and we won't change our mind") Great stats - consistently trash analysis.

I think (hope?) the whole OL will look a lot better when Feliciano comes back. Our Guard situation is ugly right now.

Why did Gregg Williams fail as a Head Coach?
BobChalmers replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Greggo Williams is one of the biggest %%%%%%% in the history of NFL coaching. All bluster and bully - ZERO in his background to back it up. As soon as anyone half as tough as Mr. Miagi shows up, he gets put in his place. Greggo never played ball himself, and never coached at a high level in college - the perfect background to be a loud mouth "tough guy" - who coaches his players to play dirty and injure their opponents. Don't hate on the military - they are real men making real sacrifices. Greggo is a bogus POS. -
