  1. Why would we spend $16M on Taylor but nor spend $24M on Cousins?
  2. McCoy sounds like a good option. He was obviously highly regarded enough as an OC in the past to get a HC job, and it's not like the offense in Denver got better when they fired him - he really looks like a scapegoat there for a really bad overall situation.
  3. I'm not doing anything - all I did was infer what OBD was going to do from what their own PR employees were putting out. I wouldn't mind them dropping a bank to get Cousins, personally.
  4. Last I heard, the Pegulas are the 4th wealthiest owners in the NFL, so not all buckets are the same size.
  5. John Murphy show - yesterday - sorry I don't remember the hour. Chris Brown was being unusually blunt in saying they have to get better at QB. He also seemed to be offering TT as an excuse for Dennison, sooo... You including John Murphy, Donald Jones, and Chris Brown in that? Because they sounded pretty similar.
  6. Oh yeah!! Pour ME up a pitcher of some of that PROCESS!!! Draft next year is gonna be sweet!! Isn't he like $16M all by himself?
  7. Actually the "pretty good WR corps" was injured half the 2016 season. I just can't imagine Tyrod being retained after the way Chris Brown publicly called him out yesterday.
  8. Yeah - and Washington in particular made him look good they were saying - definitely heard it and saw some of it during the OU game.
  9. I'm not seeing much defending him anymore. The important thread-title today is the one referencing the same thing I was struck by on the JMS yesterday: Chris Brown pretty much calling out TT for not being good enough. Brown is the Bills PR mouthpiece. Any time he says anything you know he has OBD's permission. Taylor is clearly gone or he'd never have said that.
  10. I think the biggie is "but look at his TD to INT ratio!!"
  11. I could swear I just typed "there's a "best" scheme for Tyrod, the Bills didn't run it, but even if they did, Taylor would still be the worst QB in the league running that scheme."
  12. I want TT gone, and there's no system where he's "unstoppable"... HOWEVER He used to be anyway - really good throwing deep balls. The non-imaginary scheme that suits him is the old Raiders power-run/deep pass system that relies on FAST WRs to get down the field for those bombs that force open the run. The WCO they switched to this year is pretty much the opposite of that scheme FWIW. It's not very modern, but it's basically what (I believe) Seattle, Carolina, Baltimore, and to a degree Pittsburgh try to do. I wouldn't stick with TT to run that scheme though - even when the Bills basically did that with Roman, Tyrod is pretty clearly the worst of all the QB's on that list who are suited to the scheme. So, there's a "best" scheme for Tyrod, the Bills didn't run it, but even if they did, Taylor would still be the worst QB in the league running that scheme.
  13. BILLS DON'T GET YAC BECAUSE TT THROWS OFF TARGET!! It's hard to run very far when you have to reach down to your toes or back behind you to catch nearly every damned ball.
  14. haha - I had such wishful thinking I misread the comments as getting Romo out of the booth to PLAY!
  15. Seriously! WAAAAY BETTER option than Alex Smith!
  16. No way is Alex Smith worth any high picks. I'd rather see them make a hard play in FA for Cousins.
  17. ^^^ http://buffalonews.com/author/rod_watson/ Enough said.
  18. You misread the OP: Jobot said they had a good chance to beat Jax - he said they won't get past the _divisional_ round (IE the Pats* in NE). I think we all agree here that getting the monkey of the team's (and fans') back is useful going forward, as will be however much playoff experience they get. When you consider they accomplished (or will have) all that PLUS racked up extra draft capital, it's hard not to call this a massive success for "the Process".
  19. Done! Thanks for posting!! ... who do their OLine support...? Or maybe we should donate to whoever was in coverage on Boyd!!
  20. Haha - excellent - and the photo is right as he is starting his "bomb" TD celebration!
  21. You aren't wrong about there being a good bit of luck, but I think the play of the safeties has helped the Bills make some of their own luck - 5 INTs each is pretty good. And Hauschka >>> Carpenter with multiple long FGs in some big situations. Remember Carpenter had developed the yips on XPs too.
  22. It's clearly the safeties Hyde and Poyer, and Hauschka. The way this question reads, I'd argue it implies it has to be someone who upgraded their position from the last few seasons where the team wasn't in the playoffs, right? 1. It can't be Tyrod - regardless if you love him or hate him, I believe it's undeniable that statistically he's gotten worse each year. He's slowly adjusting to the new offense, but it's definitely not suited to his skill set. 2. Shady might be the best player, but he was better last year than this season, and they didn't make the playoffs in 2016 so no. 3. KW is the guy we all love, but that's based on his attitude and his play in the past - he's clearly lost a step. 4. Is anyone arguing the OL got better this year? 5. The DL has been pretty mediocre, not much pass rush, and no better against the run than they had been. 6. The LBs are clearly worse than last season overall, though this season with Milano they are on an upswing, as oppsed to last year where Zach Brown started out very strong but faded over the season. We all love the LorAx but he's clearly having a MUCH lesser season than 2016. 7. Tre White is an option, but were he and Gaines better than Gilmore and Darby? Maybe. Nope - the only positions where the team was clearly better than recent years past are SS, FS, and K. I say the combination of the three of them is what pushed them over the top from 7-9 to 9-7 and a chance (that finally worked out) at the playoffs.
  23. Dude - they squeaked into the playoffs (getting the monkey off their backs) AND they stockpiled picks - how is this not incredible progress for the franchise?? Team McBeane knows they aren't all there yet. McD practically said as much. BUT cracking the playoff wall is just plain good for the psyche of the franchise and the fans - although apparently some fans are just too scarred to realize it... Hehe - it's true - we have no idea if Tyrod has secretly been an Eli-style playoff-clutch QB all this time!! (... and no, I don't expect that )
  24. The poor guy's body is destroyed - he needed to get out to have a future not on pain-meds.
